Hey buddy! Unless you wanna get banned for plagiarism I suggest that you start sharing the reference link of the article you copy/pasted. But not just that, you should also clearly separate your own words and the ones that you copied word for word. Since you basically copied everything without giving your own opinion on the matter (which is also a bad practice)  whole post should be in quotation marks. And from what I can see, this is not your first time that you are doing this.

Just as I thought, it was too well written and the information almost look like an article. Thank you for the source.
Hey thank you for your suggestions as this is a brand new account on Bitcointalk I wasn't aware that posting links are allowed to me also don't want my account being marked as spam hence was just being cautious, but I really appreciate your input.
You answered and still do not have the time to change it? Just highlight everything then press the message like image above the smiley emoticons and it will quote the whole thing. Then add the link after the quote.
It's good news indeed but should be done properly. I bet you just got excited about sharing it and didn't thought about the "plagiarism" rule which is normal with forums.

SEC Plans To Register & Regulate Crypto Platforms To Protect Investors
by

on 05/04/2022, 10:32:52 UTC
Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler said on Monday that his agency is aiming to exercise greater regulatory oversight of the $2 trillion cryptocurrency market to protect investors from an onslaught of scams.

In a speech delivered virtually, Gensler said the SEC plans to register and regulate crypto platforms, including working to separate out the custody of assets to minimize risk.

"These crypto platforms play roles similar to those of traditional regulated exchanges," Gensler said, at the Penn Law Capital Markets Association's annual conference. "Thus, investors should be protected in the same way."

Gensler is providing details about his plans to address the crypto market almost a month after President Joe Biden signed an executive order calling on the government to examine the risks and benefits of cryptocurrencies. Last year, crypto-assets worth more than $14 billion were stolen through a host of scams as well as cyberattacks.

The SEC, Gensler said, will partner with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to address platforms that trade both crypto-based security tokens and commodity tokens, as the SEC currently only oversees those that trade securities.

Gensler compared crypto-asset platforms to alternative trading systems, which are used in equity and fixed income markets. The critical difference, he said, is that the latter is used primarily by institutional investors while crypto platforms "have millions and sometimes tens of millions of retail customers directly buying and selling on the platform without going through a broker."

He said the SEC will look into whether crypto platforms should be treated by his agency more like retail exchanges.

Hardware Wallet Provider Trezor Targeted In Phishing Attack
by
Hedgefib
on 05/04/2022, 07:24:23 UTC
A malicious actor, pretending to be from Trezor, sent a false email requesting victims to update their software and change their wallet PIN

Cryptocurrency hardware wallet provider Trezor said Saturday it was investigating a data breach of its opt-in newsletter hosted on US marketing platform MailChimp.

A scam email warning of a breach began circulating last week, according to affected users. Trezor then sent a warning via Twitter asking its users not to open emails originating from the phishing domain “noreply@trezor.us.”

Users took to social media to warn against the scam email impersonating Trezor and its security team which prompted victims to download the “latest version of Trezor Suite” and change their wallet PIN.

The provider has since managed to take down multiple phishing domains targeting users including Trezor.us, according to a follow-up tweet on Sunday.

“MailChimp has confirmed that their service has been compromised by an insider targeting crypto companies,” Trezor said. “We have managed to take the phishing domain offline. We are trying to determine how many email addresses have been affected.”

The company also said it would not be communicating via its newsletter until the situation is resolved.

Kazakhstan Auditors Go After Crypto Miners Accused Of Exploiting Tax Benefits
by

on 05/04/2022, 06:58:21 UTC
Authorities in Kazakhstan have found several businesses minting digital currencies that took advantage of tax cuts they were allegedly not supposed to benefit from. Auditors said the crypto firms registered as? innovative companies,? to receive millions of dollars in tax preferences.

Auditors in Kazakhstan have identified crypto mining enterprises that we're able to enjoy tax benefits normally offered to businesses engaged in innovations development. According to a representative of the country's Accounts Committee which oversees budget spending, this is an indication that the? Digital Kazakhstan? program is not being implemented properly.

The companies had become residents of the Astana Hub and received support for their investment projects in the field of cryptocurrency mining when this is not the main purpose of the tech park.

Ibraev revealed that five mining farms were granted tax preferences for 8.5 billion tenge ($18 million) in the third quarter of 2021. The official insisted they should not be entitled to the tax exemptions. ?The task of the hub is to attract and implement investment projects in IT technologies,? he pointed out.

It turns out, however, that the miners have not done anything against the current law. The Accounts Committee now proposes amendments to avoid such situations in the future. ?Based on the results of our audit, a recommendation was made to the government to improve the legislation in this area,? Ibraev added.

Georgia Reveals Plans To Regulate Its Crypto Market
by

on 05/04/2022, 06:38:28 UTC
Georgia is currently planning to set up regulatory frameworks that will guide the use of cryptocurrencies in the country. The framework will include licensing, compliance testing, and Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements for crypto exchanges.

The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Koba Gvenetadze, disclosed the move during an interview with The Financial.

“The NBG is planning to regulate the crypto market in Georgia. In this regard, we have developed an initial draft of the relevant legislative changes in accordance with Financial Action Task Force requirements. We are also benefitting from the technical assistance of the International Monetary Fund staff in the development of this regulatory framework. Draft of Legislative changes at this stage includes registration / licensing, compliance testing and AML control requirements for crypto market players.”

He pointed out that banks and other financial institutions are prohibited from offering crypto services. Additionally, individuals who invest in digital assets will be classified as high-risk clients by financial institutions, with the institution offering them protection against the asset class.

Furthermore, Gvenetadze noted that since crypto is not regulated in Georgia, there is no accurate data on the amount of crypto trading in the country.

Re: Which Indian Exchange supports Tron USDT deposit?
by

on 21/03/2022, 14:25:43 UTC
I am looking for an Indian Exchange that supports Tron USDT deposit. I have checked WazirX, Giottus and CoinDCX. All of them do not support Tron USDT deposit. Since WazirX is part of the Binance exchange I had assumed that they might allow it but when I checked it they were not. Has anyone here used any exchange or can anyone here tell me how to convert Tron USDT payment to INR or any other cryptocurrency?

Hey, I use PocketBits and they do support USDT deposits via the (TRC-20) Tron chain.

Lol! I didn't realize that TATA can be so dumb to spend money on such nonsense activities rather than an actual promotion. Possibly they are sitting on some serious amount of cash which needed burning for something! This is utter nonsense to be honest.

I believe it is better to give dividend to their shareholders instead of burning cash on metaverse. This entire imaginary world is a hoax and nothing else! Elon Musk has a better word for metaverse - marketing buzzword!

As far as they are getting more Visibility & Recognition than any Marketing is good marketing, I personally think they don't want to miss the train Wink
