The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Windows.zip (GitHub)
PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Linux.tar.gz (GitHub)

The new features in this release are:

  • Added lock core clock
  • The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed
  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Increase the max supported DAG epoch to 550 (should be enough to about Jan 2023)
  • Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
  • The specific hashrate is now shown in the form of kilo hashes per joule (kH/J). Example: if a GPU has hashrate of 30 MH/s with 100W power usage, the specific hashrate is 300 kH/J
  • Added new command-line parameters -ttj and -ttmem, allowing automatic fan speed control based on GPU hotspot (junction), and memory temperatures respectively. Example: -ttmem 83 will keep the GPU memory temperature at or bellow 83C by increasing the fan speed as necessary. These parameters can be combined with -tt, as well as with each other. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added new command-line parameters -tmaxj and -tmaxmem, allowing to decrease the GPU usage when the GPU hotspot (junction), or GPU memory temperatures are above the specified thresholds. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers 21.3.2, and 21.3.1
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.50.x. Use this drivers only if you have Polaris or older GPUs, or the latest RX6x000 GPUs. WARNING: Vega, Radeon VII, and Navi GPUs won't work with these drivers!
  • Turn off the zero fan feature on AMD cards whenever a fixed fan speed is used (e.g. -tt -40), or when an auto fan with min fan speed is used (e.g. -tt 63 -minfan 35). To disable this feature, add -fanstop 1 command-line parameter
  • When -mcdag 1 is specified under Linux, the miner will not wait for the daggen.sh script to finish before starting to generate the DAGs. Instead it will for a fixed 7 seconds. This allows you to do all the following in the daggen.sh: turn off the overclocking of Nvidia GPUs, sleep for 30-60 seconds to allow time for DAG generation, and then re-apply the overclocking of the Nvidia GPUs
  • Other small improvements and fixes

The support for -ttj, -ttmem, -tmaxj, and -tmaxmem for Nvidia 3090 and 3080 GPUs is not yet ready for release. We hope to have it ready for the final 5.7 release.

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.7a.

Re: Where can I sell ERC20 coins?

There are many swap platforms and DEXes where you easily can sell all your tokens, for unpopular tokens and tokens with low liquidity you can try to find specialized telegram channels, called "sell/buy groups", where you can try to find buyer for your coins, but it`s a very dangerous way, be careful

Re: ETH 2.0 And High Transaction Fees..

If the gas price is not reduce after starting ETH 2.0. People will seek for another blockchain. This cause the user of ether will decrease. One day ether will lose their user.
Do you have any idea why there is such a large gas charge on the Ethereum blockchain?

Closer to the summer of 2020, a hype began around Defi projects, a lot of similar projects were created, after the resounding success of YFI. They were launched on the Ethereum blockchain, since it is very easy to do there, the network was simply overloaded, due to network overload, and there was such a high commission.

With the release of Ethereum 2.0, transactions should be performed even faster and the network should not lie down so easily, I think that this should not happen at all, at least for such a long time.

Now the hype for defi has already begun to subside, so the commissions have already begun to stabilize, a commission of $ 1 is already normal for me)

The problem is not in the hype of defi projects, but in the Ethereum blockchain system.

This blockchain is already very old, it needs an update, just what has been planned for many years - Ethereum 2.0.

But I also don’t believe in this Ethereum 2.0, for how many years they have been postponing everything, feeding us with promises.

And they have only one excuse "We do not want to make past mistakes", of course, on the one hand this is even very good, but many projects, by the time Ethereum 2.0 is released, will become much better, more advanced.

Write that the load on the network has subsided? Yes, she was asleep.
But for how long? So far, the hype has calmed down a bit, but I don't think it will last long, the era of DEFI projects is just beginning.

The best tome for bounty hunters was in 2016-2017 years when there were a lot of projects which can easily pay you more than 1k$ for your work, but now most bounties just promise a lot and very often break their promises, so bounty hunters feel deceived. I faced it too and it`s sad.

Re: How reliable is crypto payment?
by

There was bews some time ago that such retail giants like Amazon and EBay will start to accept payments in cryptocurrencies, but the main problem is crypto`s price instability so it`s very difficult to use cryptocurrency as payment method, only few markets accept it and I can`t predict when situation will change

Re: For airdroppers who can hardly relate
by

on 02/07/2020, 18:43:57 UTC
I suppose everybody who has ever participated in airdrops of different projects faced to this situation. Most projects just die before airdrop payments or they don`t want to pay tokens and try to find excuse to delay distribution. I think airdrops is really bad way of marketing for projects and earning for common users and it doesn`t work now

Re: Trading competition, a plus or minus

I saw some examples of projects which developers thought that it`s enough to start trading contest and their coin will be popular and will have really good price, but it`s definitely wrong. Trading contests really good opportunity to attract some more attention to cryptocurrency, but I think that it should be secondary way of increasing volumes on pairs and boosting token`s price

For me Binance it`s the standart of good cryptocurrency exchnage and when  people inexperienced in cryptocurrency ask me what exchange they should to use, I always answer Binance, because it has pretty nice design, huge trading volumes on the most trading pairs and also community interaction is on high level, so it just nicely to use this exchange and it really deserves number one at the moment

Re: Good ICO vs Bad ICO

I think the main criterion of bounty and ICO or IEO rating is project`s partnerships and indicator of social media activity. Projects which are really interested in development and suggesting problem`s solutions are always active and communicate with community, have a lot of updates and often try to find more and more partners

Re: Scammers, the biggest crypto problem
by
Hellkas
on 01/07/2020, 18:14:54 UTC
Cryptocurrency sphere is quite new for most people around the world, so some of them don`t even know simplest cryptocurrencies` features and its goal, so they can easily be deceived by dishonest people. I think the main problem of such big amount of scammers in cryptoworld is people`s ignorance. We can fight it only telling  people truth about cryptocurrency and blockchain.

This project looks very strange and I don`t think that you should trust this project if it required to deposit there you own money. I`venever heard about it and I suppose that trading volumes are fake or there are some external factors which are hidden from our eyes which let price of this coin grow

Today there are more than 6000 cryptocurrencies and most of them are similar to each other or they are exact copy of other coins. A lot of projects were created only to be in trend and to be in time with cryptocurrency hype train. Only 5% of cryptocurrencies can be really useful and that`s sad

Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings?
by
Hellkas
on 30/06/2020, 18:18:07 UTC
I saw this rating and think that all ratings are partly subjective and everyone should think youself and analyze projects only based on such ratings, not listening them as the most significant indicator. I trust ratings, but don`t think that they are always right.

A lot of people heard about cryptocurrency because of 2017 bitcoin price hype and many developers and companies wanted to have their own cryptocurrency as soon as possible, but there was no time to create something really worthy, so we have a lot of similar projects and only few of them are really innovative and can be used for problems solution

I think that altcoins separation is a question of time. Even now you can see that some assets on coinmarketcap show good price growth despite on bitcoin price is going down or stay the same. I suppose cryptocurrency market just need more customers and bigger trading volumes, then situation will change

I think it`s never too late to earn as much money or cryptocurrency as you want. Everything depends on your desires. I can recommend you to learn trading, but you need to start with very small amounts to avoid last eth lost. Also you can try to participate in Binance Launchpad IEOs, they always give good profit to participants
