Nice to see the updates. Btw it seems like your videos have low views. Which channels do you use to inform others about it? Relying on the YouTube algorithm to encourage people to see your educational materials doesn't sound like a good idea.

Btw, it seems like your Twitter account is restricted, too. I can't load your profile properly (to be clear, I don't have a Twitter account) even though I can access other profiles just fine.

Thanks for the feedback! To be honest I am not promoting them much, I use some forums, twitter, etc... I believe that the first video was better than the previous ones (in fact I have seen some accounts reusing it  Huh Huh Huh on X.com )

Anyway, I am preparing one which might be good enough to make the cut Wink

And with regards to the twitter account, it is hideyourkeys_io, it is quite concerning if you cannot access it (and I do not know why). I will check it out, but thanks for the heads up Wink

As promised, sorry for the late reply, I had been a little busy.

This is the result with only one hammer strike per word. Except for number 6, I had to repeat it as you can see:

There is enough room to engrave the letters and numbers, and as you can see it is enough with just 4 letters per word.
I'm not a big fan of omitting "error correction" by leaving out characters. Any chance you can share a picture of a washer in it's final look? I get a feeling it's going to be crowded on there.
But I do like the compact seed phrase Smiley

I do not like it either... but... if it allows me to fit a whole seedphrase in one washer, it might be worth it (there are also many recovery methods that also rely only in 4 words, even cryptotag thor which costs like 350$...)

It is indeed crowded, but not that much, quite "readable" and the letters do not overlap. I will try to upload some pictures over the weekend  Wink

There is a new sheriff in town! I have been investigating these months, and I have come up with a new solution... the BitJig M14.

Now we can engrave 44mm washers, being able to engrave each side with up to 12 words, so 24 words on a single washer, which is not big at all.

Here you have a render:

And here you have a test Wink

As you can see you can engrave up to 24 slots per row, 3 rows with 24 slots each, so each slots can get the proper numers and letters:

01AAAA02BBBB03CCCC04DDDD
05EEEE06FFFF07GGGG08HHHH
09JJJJ10KKKK11LLLL12MMMM

There is enough room to engrave the letters and numbers, and as you can see it is enough with just 4 letters per word.

I will upload it to https://hideyourkeys.io/ next week, and also will try to release a free version without the anvil.

I checked the "Guides" section on your website. It looks good although the web loads a bit slowly (I'm using a VPN with a server from Singapore, which accesses most websites with no issues at all). Why don't you add a preview section of the guide, or make it possible to read the document online instead of downloading them? Some people don't feel comfortable with downloading PDFs files, especially after how many malwares spread through them in the last few months or so.

I haven't read the full guides but in your "Making Sense of Bitcoin", I think the common faqs can be misleading since I don't think a statement like "Bitcoin isn't backed by anything" is what people ask if they're a newbie. It's usually about "How do I buy Bitcoin", "Which wallet to use", etc when I read about faqs. Maybe you can rename it to something else like "debunking common Bitcoin myths/criticism", just my 2 cents.

Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it, I am trying to add some way to be able to read the guides and everything online, and will also update them Smiley

And I have to commend you for this post, this one makes you a great educator, no doubt.

I’m starting a thread here with the goal of creating tons of content to help you learn Bitcoin from scratch. My aim is to condense as much knowledge as possible into a clear and organized manner, so anyone interested in understanding how Bitcoin works and how to interact with it can follow along.

I’ve already created a few threads, but I was advised to consolidate all the information into one place, making it easier for people to bookmark and check updates.

Throughout this thread, I’ll be doing periodic updates to add new content, clarify questions, and expand on various topics. The goal is to provide an accessible, free resource that anyone can use, no matter their level of experience.

If you’re interested, feel free to follow along and don't hesitate to share your questions or comments. I’d love to hear your feedback on the videos and content.

Here’s the first video (I made a separate thread for it, but I won’t be updating that one. Everything will be kept here):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH35Ri9Bi34

(This video was even retweeted by Bitcoin News: https://x.com/BitcoinNewsCom/status/1875921242567680403 )

Here’s the second video I made:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9nSiR2cbYQ

It’s about Bitcoin wallets, self-custody options, security, and the main ways to obtain Bitcoin. It’s designed with beginners in mind.

Here’s the third video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnmTlJ_7lBg

I still have many videos planned! Could you give me some advice on which topics would be most interesting to you?

    - Advanced self-custody, metal backups, passphrases, multisig setups, steganography...
    - Other Bitcoin layers like Lightning and Liquid...

I’d really appreciate your feedback on the current videos and if you find these topics interesting. Smiley

I’ve also created some other content, but I think it needs a bit more refinement. Here’s a beginner-friendly flowchart:

And I also have a couple of illustrated PDFs (and maybe more):

The Pleb Guide to Storing Your Bitcoin
How to Understand Bitcoin in Less Than 1 Hour

They’re available for free at the downloads section of hideyourkeys.io.

I’ll do my best to keep the post tidy and would love to hear any feedback!  Smiley

the animation you made is quite good with explanations that are easy for people to understand, i'm sure that beginners who watch your videos will be helped by the videos you make. good job OP.

- Bitcoin vs. altcoins/memecoins, I particularly like this topic, I think it would be the next one

this topic is good to be made into animation because there are still many beginners who are mistaken that they equate altcoin with bitcoin. by making animation it can help beginners to see how the basic differences between bitcoin and altcoin are, especially in memecoin many beginners invest in this type of coin and do not fully understand what it is, and it helps them to understand more easily that bitcoin and altcoin are different in many ways.

Thank you very much for your feedback, I am currently working on the bitcoin vs. altcoins video, I think that one is indeed one of the most important ones

Hello all,

I made an animated video during the holidays related to bitcoin, and it was kind of successful (not that much though  Grin )

Here is the 1st thread, and the video: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5525071.new#new

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH35Ri9Bi34

(this was even retweeted by Bitcoin news, https://x.com/BitcoinNewsCom/status/1875921242567680403 )

And this is the 2nd one I made:

And here is the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9nSiR2cbYQ

It is related to bitcoin wallets, self custody options and security, and the main ways to obtain bitcoin, it is also thought for beginners.

Now, I have a bunch of videos I still want to make, would you guys give me some advice about which ones would be more interesting?

- Bitcoin vs. altcoins/memecoins, I particularly like this topic, I think it would be the next one
- Advanced self custody, metal backups strategys, passphrases, multisig setups, steganography...
- Other bitcoin layers, lightning, liquid...

I would love your feedback on the current videos, and if you find these topics interesting  Smiley

Usually most people spend their free time or holidays, usually walking or going to the beach or partying. but apparently you use your free time and holidays to do good creativity and honestly I really like your work and I see in the video it's really not boring because you explain bitcoin well and of course for people who want to know what bitcoin is of course by watching the video You are sure that people will easily digest it and I hope you continue to create works like this and of course with your many works you will definitely make the name Bitcoin even more popular. I would love to see your latest work on Bitcoin.

Your ranking is still a full member here, but I really appreciate your creativity and this is very extraordinary. Hopefully in 2025 we will see Bitcoin becoming increasingly popular and continuing to rise in price.

Thank you for your nice words, really appreciate it Smiley

I am quite happy that people liked it,
And I'm also happy for you as a fellow content creator, and most especially about your undiluted desire to spreading the good news about Bitcoin to a wider audience. Because I just saw that this your video that was reposted by "Bitcoin News" on Twitter (X) has got over 100k views, which means over 100k people may have seen your content and got value through it. Hence, I will wish to encourage you not to give up, because the content journey is a gradual process. 👍

However, I will like to suggest you to optimize your YouTube Channel with the necessary keywords to enable your video reach wider audience e.g #Bitcoin  #Bitcoinnews  #Bitcoinwallet  #Bitcoinpricetoday #cryptocurrency #Crypto #altcoin #Memecoins #wallet and more.

______________

Thanks for your comments mate, really appreciate them! I was quite surprised by the BTC News retweet, and happy as well. I am not seeking to become a content creator, I do not have that much time unfortunately, but I want to release a bunch of well animated videos for beginners, so they can properly understand bitcoin in 2025  Wink

Do you think the nonce is understood in the video? More or less, it is a simplified approach for beginners  Smiley
Yeah it's a good approach for beginners, they probably won't get it the first time any ways, but having the idea  works Smiley.
Nonce is not the only item that's being subject to change in the block header....
Typically, the nonce starts a 0 and it is incremented until a qualifying hash is found or all the possible nonces have been tried. If all the nonces have been tried, then something else in the header is changed and the nonce starts back at 0. This process keeps going until a block header that has a qualifying hash is found.

hahaha you are right, but they can watch it a few times until they get it.

In fact I mentioned that the miner can alter other data, not only the nonce, during the mining process (I believe this is not relevant for a newbie, but it is still mentioned)  Wink

Saw the vidoeo earlier this week ... just getting to know you made a post about it, and yeah it might look a little bit complicated for someone who has little or no idea about bitcoin before so you could break it down into smaller videos , taking It section by section .
There's no need to touch the one you already posted but you can make more videos , shorter and focused on a particular aspect each imo ...

Here is me trying to understand nonce :

You could get some infos for your content as well there

Thanks for your comment mate  Wink I will do shorter versions as well, I am working on a 2nd part, I hope it'll be published by the end of the week, and then I'll work on the shorts!

Hi everyone!

I spent some of my spare time during the holidays creating an 11-minute video where I try to summarize my personal perspective on Bitcoin (I mean to use it to orange-pill friends and family). And... I think it turned out relatively well (at least I think so, maybe it is not that good idk) .

I'm excited to share it with the community here and would really appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or thoughts you might have!

I'm always looking to improve, and it would mean a lot to hear what you think.

Here it is:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH35Ri9Bi34
That was indeed an excellent YouTube video you created my friend about "What is Bitcoin and why it's valuable", as I must confess while watching the video I couldn't help myself but continue watching to the end due the high quality Voiceover and engaging virtuals used in your video editing. It literally must have cost you a whole lot of time to bring up this lovely content. However, base on my little idea about YouTube and content creation in general, there was something I observed about your YouTube channel, which is you uploading same video in two different languages (i.e English and Spanish). As I would have suggest why not you create a separate channel where you post same content only in Spanish alone, while you have another one where you post videos only in English alone, so as not to confuse your audience. As I'm sure this strategy will help you reaching more audience but in an organized manner. Thank you, as I wish you good luck. I just Subscribe to your channel.

EXAMPLE

That is, to upload your first video in English on this your current channel, while you translate the video with an A.I tool to Spanish and upload it on your second Spanish YouTube channel dedicated to Spanish audience.

Hello mate! I really have to thank you for your comment, thanks to you I've realized that I can switch the video to another channel (that I have not created yet, but now I know I should!).

I will definetely create two separate channels, you are totally right Wink

And also thank you very much for your nice words, really glad you watched it until the end Smiley

Ohh wow, that's pretty awesome, Mate !
I monitor it all. It's literally so good, especially for newcomers to learn something about Bitcoin/Blockchain. I really appreciate your work. You have made the videos in a very excellent way. You have expressed great knowledge in the video with the help of simple animation. I really appreciate your content. This can turn many newbies into experts. That means they can easily learn about Bitcoin.

Beside that, I would like to get your permission that I will definitely share this video with my local community. Because there are many new members in my local thread who are very excited to learn about Bitcoin, so I think your videos can be very helpful for them.

Hi mate!

Of course you can share it, and thank you very much for the feedback, I really appreciate it Smiley

I also think it's good for beginners Wink

Great video, good animation and good information for someone with zero background in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, you have some mistakes in nodes and mining but overall the video is great. Try to split the video into shorts of a minute or 3 and re-upload them to YouTube or Instagram and you will have good content.

Good stuff.
People do be liking the short-term content more than the one which brings more value - but needs more focus.
But that way more people would be inclined to watch the full version.

I think both of you guys are right, I have to prepare some shorts then! I still do not understand why these short videos are so trendy, I always enjoy a long video with precise explanations

It's a great video, but there is a difference between bitcoin and blokchain... The first part about bitcoin you are talking about blockchain, and the fact that users can send money to other users is thanks to the blockchain, when you say that the transaction is direct from one user to another isn't true, there are a 3rd party involved, and those are the miners, without them no one would be able to send money to other users.

But i really enjoy the animation and the voice is really clear, did you use any AI for the video?

Miners do check the blockchain to stay healthy and the longest chain is the chain we are going with  Wink
And I do think it's an AI, however, if I am wrong - the voice is impeccable for presentations!
Great job, OP.

It is AI, I tried to record it myself, but I was not  that good (imho)

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it  Smiley
