It's not just mobile wallets, it's any wallet that uses SPV technology (simplified payment verification) that just connect to a network of full nodes that have been pieced together from the Bitcoin network, or other altcoin networks, and then sync the balances of their addresses by fetching transactions from the node, and manually adding and subtracting the transfer amounts without the node's help.

If they won't unbank Coinbase and Binance, Bitcoin will be fine. If they do, the price will instantly plummet, adoption will either slow down significantly or turn negative. But it seems like the chance of them doing the latter are very low, since this is a very unofficial rumored crackdown on smaller businesses rather than a total ban on crypto.

You got it right, there is nothing to trust in crypto and what bitcoin is a stable unending future.  And sometimes bad things happen and tether usdt gets caught.  Bitcoin is the largest and most widely used

People who don't understand about Bitcoin are pointless talking about it, what they need is faith in Bitcoin.  If Bitcoin isn't accepted, it's hard to get people to trust it.  If the US government and other major powers simultaneously declare Bitcoin a better asset than gold, we're sure to see a rapid increase in public acceptance.  It is better to try to explain to people what is gained by investing in Bitcoin than to waste time explaining Bitcoin to people.

I know many people are involved in altscoin but altscoin is not their main investment their main investment is bitcoin and I believe bitcoin is long term currency.

It is possible to earn and support monthly expenses in crypto.  But don't expect too much from it when you start it new you will encounter many scams that will tempt you to understand how hard it is to earn and you discover something that you can successfully earn in crypto.
