Re: A new look to KYC, from a customer's perspective.

KYC has its advantages and disadvantages, giving away vital Information to a total stranger could sound queer most times, but we have already gotten used to the trend, that today people do not even think twice before giving up their identity.
Your suggestion is a good one and will aid in getting hold of exit scam ico owners and also reducing the rate of exit scams

Re: eth coin prices slowly rising again?
by

on 18/03/2019, 19:24:52 UTC
today I see the coin price starts to rise again, is this the initial up and down or will it go down again? I'm sure everyone will expect the eth coin will rise again, if you now have eth coins, will you sell it now or still hold back? eth coin holders or btc are not in a hurry to sell the co. thank you
Why would one hodl coins for so long and still sell in this bear market with low prices simply because of a little up in the price.
The fact still remains that the market is bearish and selling now would not yield much.
So for the long term trader, selling now is a big NO for sure

Re: Bounty Campaigns going into extinction?
by
Hivalley
on 18/03/2019, 19:21:14 UTC
There are many forms of projects: ICO, STO etc, I do not feel any would go extinct in place of the other.
Bounty campaigns are really benefitial if you take a closer look at it, they not only create awareness for the projects they are under but for cryotocurreny as a whole, bounty projects are going nowhere

Re: Less price = more profit?

The price is not at all important in choosing a coin. You should pay attention to what measures and actions the team is putting to improve its product now and in the future. Also examine the news background and the cumulative useful activity of the project.
But the price can also come in handy, I nor u would want to put money into a coin that's as good as dead, most often the price of a coin reflects the handwork the team is putting in, maybe not at the initial level but surely in the long run

Security is one measure we all have to take more seriously, we cannot let our guard down and let fraudsters get hold of our information that ought to be private, at least everyone should try and acquire a hardware wallet, to be on the safer side, issues such as this should act as an eye opener to all, and we should take heed lest we become victims as well.

Re: massive feb visitor collapse in Bitcointalk and Coinmarketcap founding websites
by

There is no relationship between bitcoin price and visitors on coinmarketcap or even bitcointalk forum, these are simply updates channel and discussion channel respectively.
While I've noticed the drastic reduction in active users here in the forum, I wouldn't actually call it a disadvantage, we could hence have some good discussions as well as reduce or do away with those who want to get rich immediately

Re: Good News Entrepreneurs: Plattsburgh Finally Lifts its Ban on Crypto Mining
by
Hivalley
on 18/03/2019, 08:57:54 UTC
Lifting a ban is not enough to bring the miners back into the game, it is barely making money in the USA unless you mine one of the altcoins instead. Good news for future miners though
Very true, the only way miners cab be attracted is if it'll be profitable for them to mine bitcoins, lifting the ban is just the first step, the price of the bitcoin is the other factor that can bring back the miners to mine again. And with this current bearish market and the cost of mining in the US, I doubt many will fancy their chances

Patience is key to wait that
This is a virtue that every investor or contributor should possess in large amount.I understand how difficult it is for the new investors after all the good stories they've heard in the past, but all that seems to be lone gone now, and the network is back to its normal way. Quick profits are hard to come by, if you believe, you just have to wait

Re: The Factors of Demand and supply
by
Hivalley
on 17/03/2019, 19:50:34 UTC
At my initial stage in bitcoin investment I was made to understand that demand and supply determines the price of the bitcoin and I believe it's true, if you take a look at it, when there was so much hype, the price shot up because the demand was freakishly high, but right now everything seems to have gone down and it did so with the price.
But there must be other factors other than this that determines the price, but this happens to be the one I'm very sure of

Re: I do make money in my sleep with crypto !
by
Hivalley
on 14/03/2019, 12:30:09 UTC
The only way you can probably make money while sleeping is if you are a business man who owns chains of businesses, and have a lot of employees who handle affairs in your absence.
If you're to apply that with trading, that will be trading via bot, automated system that trades for you.
But you mustn't have to make it sound a rosy, in all the examples I've given above, you don't only money while sleeping, but you can also lose money, there are two sides to the coin, and it's more risky when you trade with a bot

Re: Why people are not fighting with post-ICO scams?
by
Hivalley
on 14/03/2019, 10:27:44 UTC
Anonymity and a lackadaisical attitude should be to blame for all this, the organizers of this scam projects try their best to stay anonymous as much as they can, though their CEO's could be traced with a little more effort, but lacklustre attitude from investors help them to get away most times with such scams

Fees, that's the only issue I have at the moment, and as an active trader it makes things more difficult, I make use of an exchange that provides quality security service and other additional pecks, but I do a lot of trading and a lot of moving coins here and there, the fees are quite a hiccup sometimes

Re: ICO IS ALIVE AND KICKING
by

A bad market is a bad bad market, and it definitely must have an effect in prices of coins, though it may not be the only reason why a lot of projects aren't succeeding, but it is one major reason, although some projects, very few actually manage to thrive under the conditions, but those are the best of the rest.
If the market were to be good, so many failed projects would probably have been selling far above their ico price, but thats at the moment a distant reality for them

Re: Got a Job after loosing hope in Bounties
by
Hivalley
on 13/03/2019, 18:24:11 UTC
Thinking in the first instance that bounty hunting can afford you a living is not a wise thought at all, and waiting for it to give you financial freedom instead of actually looking for a job is stupid.
Truly you can make some money from it, and depending on the part of the world you live it could be tangible, it may not.
So in order to avoid speculations, try other things, get a job, a career, a hobby, something that guarantees income, then you can either trade or engage in bounty hunting with less stress and pressure knowing fully well you have other income to fall back on

OP claims all his speculations are facts and I'm wondering where the prove is to all that, you're only raising your your hopes and believes which is not wrong to do, I myself want the bitcoin to get there.
But I wouldn't call out figures and claim they are facts, there are no facts, it's not predictable, anything can happen at any time

So many have missed out on the opportunity to make money through the bitcoin simply because they are scared and undecided, they do not know what to believe, whether it's a bubble it if it's indeed real,if it'll die or if it'll last forever, they are caught between what the outsiders say, that for anyone to invest in the bitcoin, such individual must be delusional etc
As a result of this, they are unable to take the bike step and are always caught in the middle of a bull run, the same trend will continue for them until they start believing

Re: Panic selling and postpone from trading, which one is the worse one?
by
Hivalley
on 11/03/2019, 19:38:11 UTC
Panic sale most times is inevitable and it's down to pressure and attempt to cut loss and make do with the profits acquired already. Staying away from trading for me is better, it gives you an opportunity to come back, though you may have accumulated losses by then, but every trader should have the balls to handle the pressure of trading, there are many hiccups on the way of a successful coin

Everything and anything is possible, but I do not think the bitcoin can become worthless, it is used across almost all the countries of the world, and it's volume is extremely high with transactions going on nonstop, for it to be worthless, all this must come to an end, but I doubt it is possible it will

Re: What do you think is the most surprising thing in the History of Bitcoin?
by
Hivalley
on 11/03/2019, 19:06:17 UTC
I think what surprises me the most about bitcoin is the way it gave rise to thousands of other cryptocurrencies, the bitcoin was number one and with time it's growth and development gave ruse and birth to over 3000 other alternative coins.
Without the bitcoin, u doubt if any of the alternative coins of today will exist, and the bitcoin still indirectly controls and decides their price or value

Re: Reminder: Your funds are NOT safe in third-party wallets
by
Hivalley
on 11/03/2019, 08:15:59 UTC
Enough cannot be said on this issue really and for sure people will still leave their coins on exchanges for reasons ranging from convenience to cost of transaction fees, moving the coins in and out.
Really there are trusted exchanges, and one can afford to trust to a certain extent, but even though, leaving coins in there could be risky, but yet understandable
When it becomes foolish is when you leave your coins in an exchange that's yet to gain any sort of ground in the cryptocurrency world, then the risk is more and it's best you move them either to your wallet or exchanges with the best form of security
