Re: Market manipulation

When you see a huge drop in a coins price, people will sometimes blame it on whales that are dumping on the market. Whales are people or possibly a group of people working together to hold a large percentage of that coin and can use this to their advantage to manipulate the price of a coin to the desired price. Typically when this occurs "weak hands" will start panic selling so they can buy back into the coin at a cheaper price. Not always does his tacit work in the whales favor.

Back in 2017 it was published that certain powers will crack down on cryptocurrency in 2018. Comments by institutional representatives like "oh there just kids playing in the sand box. They'll lose interest soon." leave some wondering what they meant by these statements. Some say that the moment BTC Futures came online, the market just started tanking, and never really stopped. The double, or is it triple dip that happened here in mid Sept seemed odd to many. Commentators claimed that "unusual market activity" occurred just before it tanked. Many chalked it up to a decision by Goldman Sachs but do their choices really matter THAT much to average traders? Do you feel this market just flows naturally and it's just weak hands throwing money into the wind again and again? Or do you feel that there is a more sinister hand at work here?

A lot of factors continues to affect the price of  BITCOIN. I believe there are market manipulations. sometimes you just see an unsual pump in a price over a month, things like this are due to games from the big market players. Likewise dump in price. Some set of big players are actually running the market and there market drive is a great factor.

Re: are you now afraid to save bitcoin until December 2018

I saw a lot of news in the media about the price of bitcoin.
and they predict bitcoin can go to the month again in December 2018
and there are some media that say the price of bitcoin will go down and this news makes investors afraid to buy bitcoin.

do you believe the price of bitcoin will rise?
or believe the price of bitcoin will drop!

Currently, I have a vague opinion about what will happen to Bitcoin by december, 2018. I am all out waiting, to see what will really happen, in this December 2018, as I will be holding Bitcoin over the next year. It could be a make or break, but as an enthusiast, I am positive and optimistic.

Re: Everyone loses money when the market is down right?

Most crypto investors are in the rush to join the bullish market as a result of FOMO while they haven’t figured out why they are investing. This is often done on impulse or based on speculations that highly predict the value of cryptocurrencies. Just like holding a portfolio of bonds or stocks one needs to have goals they seek to achieve using funds from the Return on the investments. This is why they are loosing, and others that know have an investment plan are gaining.

It is so important for any investor to have a set of objectives they plan to meet and alternative strategies they can take if they do not meet targets. The cryptocurrency market is highly volatile which makes it necessary for any investor to be disciplined by setting goals. For example, one can do fundamental analysis and evaluate which projects might take a longer time to gain profits and which projects are currently at their peak for quick profits

Not everyone. I have heard the saying that many loose for many to gain and vice versa, and this seems true most times. When you buy something, you loose money for the other person to gain. The other person loose the something for you to gain. so, if the something eventually worth more, days later, the seller just lost some values, and if otherwise, the buyer incurred two losses.  Market analysis is crazy really, but I'm sure some people even prefer market downtrend, cause of what they stand to gain after the market goes up.

Also, Being an unregulated currency that is based solely on data, bitcoin enables unbridled access to a secure credit system. It will continue to bridge people who are isolated with global merchants. This will certainly open up new markets and opportunities that will further influence economic growth. In addition to that, bitcoin does not have to require exorbitant transaction fees and withholding taxes, which is what makes it so attractive in the first place.

Is there a role for Bitcoin in international trade? Have you heard of a trade between two countries?
And will it be in the future?

Come to think of this, Bitcoin is mined through a complex software and hardware infrastructure system. And just like any other traditional method of mining, manufacturing bitcoin also impact the environment in not so subtle ways. The servers used for mining consume a great deal of energy. We can only imagine how much is being spent on running countless servers around the world. In response, environmental legislation will have to be introduced to address energy consumption related to bitcoin mining.

Diversification, even in this high-risk market, helps reduce risk and maximize safer earnings.
It is recommended to largely weight in on Ether, with some in Bitcoin.
Other coins like Litecoin and Ripple represent enormous opportunity and should represent part of your strategy.
Smaller "alt" coins have tremendous potential as well and should represent some of your portfolio. WTC, VTC, and VEN are good places to start.

Usually they recommend you to diversify your investment, so you avoid losses.

But as a real approach, having $1.5k, would you invest in how many cryptocurrencies ?

What if I invest little by little, only in Bitcoin, would that work as well ?

Bitcoin surged to a new high of $X today, up over Y percent from Z months ago. If you had invested $A just B years ago you would have made $C and you’d be filthy rich.”
Currently, this is the only way most people talk about bitcoin. It’s viewed as a buy and hold vehicle for fast capital appreciation. But the savvy investors and smart money around the world is far more focused on how to actually use bitcoin than just getting their hands on it and holding.

Re: Is technical analysis vital?

So for a long term trade, what you is needed mostly is to make thorough research on the desired Cryptocurrency. Read more about it, especially the Whitepaper. Do your personal strategic analysis and deterministic analysis to know whether the coin is really worth it or not. Technical analysis could be of help too, cause the price movement of the coin is also important to know if the coin is loved or well accepted in the market or not.

Hi I was wondering what the general consensus was on the use of technical analysis in making long term investments. I know short term day traders get allot of use out of it but if I'm investing in a project based on fundamentals does the technical analysis matter?

Exactlfy, for day trading or short-term trading technical analysis is the way to go. Technical analysis is the study of price charts and basically any information that can be compiled from them, such as volume analysis, cycles, trends and statistics. Technical analysis is used to forecast price movements, as well as provide methods of entry and exits from trades.

Re: KuCoin vs Binance

Binance is also known for its fast transaction processing as well as its low trading fees (0.1%). The Binance technology is capable of processing 1.4 million orders each second. This makes the platform a world leader in potential cryptocurrency exchange volume.
The fee structure at Binance is very competitive in the current environment. When trading on Binance, Binance charges a flat 0.1% fee on each trade. For a platform that doesn’t use a fee schedule, this is definitely one of the lowest fees in the industry.

I'm used to using Binance exchange to trade, and I can say Binance offers a wide variety of tools for engaging with digital asset markets. It’s straightforward to purchase and sell cryptocurrencies through the Binance platform. There are also some additional features that make the platform capable of handling complex trading operations.

Re: Which is profitable coin?

Nothing else, but Bitcoin alone.
Since we’re in the bear market at the moment, Bitcoin is about to hit the floor like a drunken teenager. It will most likely lose the most out of all crypto coins and all eyes should be on BTC during that time.
Bitcoin is that coin that shouldn't be neglected at all, instead you should short it whilst it’s going down.
That’s where one makes money whether one trades or invest in a bull market or a bear one.

Sure, you can go ahead and short alts, too
