Re: How will the 28th Hard Fork affect the price of BTC & Altcoins
by
Howell
on 24/12/2017, 21:06:31 UTC
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't look like its being orchestrated by the same team that was supposed to implement the original segwit2x fork before it got cancelled...Seems kind of gimmicky if this is the case.

And this whole receiving a portion of Satoshi's btc is confusing to me.
I was going to ask the same question too because mention was made severally about "developers" making this move, which I think must be core developers, else the talk of giving out portion of Satoshi's coins wouldn't have come up.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
by
Howell
on 22/10/2017, 13:25:26 UTC
For me Bitcoin will be replace by another cryptocurrency if bitcoin reach the limit of 21 million. But right now bitcoin can’t be replacing by another cryptocurrency because bitcoin is the most expensive, popular and leading cryptocurrency of all and many people are accepting, using and willing to try bitcoin. Smiley
If bitcoin could not be replace when the 21 million coin are yet to be mined, it is sure to get even tougher after the 21th millionth coin  gets mined, because the scarce nature of the coin would now take center stage and make the coin even more valuable and robust

I guess you meant to say bitcoin is the most valuable currency and not the most expensive!

It is never to late to buy butcoin, bitcoin price is continuosly increasing and will increase much more, some says it migth reach 10k mark.. so it is never to late as the saying goes their are no best time to plant a seed than today!!
Yeah the consensus the price of bitcoin is going to touch the moon someday, but I personally think that restrain is still needed at what price we settle to buy and hold especially if the amount we have is small or everything we have because of volatility!

Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice.

Need some expert or real advice on how I can earn bitcoin. thanks

What a waste, 1 year in cryptocurrency but your bitcointalk account rank still newbie. If you keep posting till now your rank can be sr.member right now and with that account you can earn bitcoins in this forum. What do you do in the last year man ? My advice keep posting to get activity and increase rank your account.
I noticed that too, if indeed he has been into cryptocurrency for past 1 year, his account ought not to be anymore at newbie level, however if that is the reality, it will only go to show that op problem is not dearth of earning opportunities, but sheer laziness.

Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2?
by
Howell
on 21/10/2017, 09:12:36 UTC
Hi, I am looking for a way to earn some money without invest(because I am broke), I can dedicate 2 hours a day in that. what can I do to make a bitcoin per month without any investment?

Doing signature campaigns is the only way I know that you can earn bitcoin without any capital. But even then you cannot make that amount of BTC within a month or 2. You can try trading once you gained your btc from the campaign but it will take a lot of luck to be successful with your goal.
There're lot more ways you would get to know when you start thinking outside the box and able to recognize success even when it is disguised as some hard work. As for making 1 btc in 2 months, with commensurate investment, it can be done, but without investment, it is a wild goose chase. I would rather not give myself such vain hope instead, I would set achievable daily goals.

I think it's really hard work.
It is not just by working hard, but also by working smart. Hard work pays quite alright but there are some information that can really help you to make even more. It is just to find them, find out where one fits in, pay your dues with some extra effort and get your pay.
By and large, aiming to earn 1 BTC in a month or 2 is unrealistic and clearly demonstrates op doesn't know what he wants. If he is to  trade, gamble or find some reliable investments, he would have to first cough out huge amount of Bitcoin before earning of something reasonable can be possible, yet there are no guarantees that it could be sustained. Best to have milestone and take one goal at a time.

Re: Financial Crisis and Safe Havens
by
Howell

You crypto portfolio shouldn't be over 20%. At least I won't. 70%-90% is just too much in such volatile market, and I am not sure if we can consider cryptos as a "safe haven"  I will prefer to invest at least 50% in precious metals which are far more safe than cryptos. 70% in cryptos you are taking the risk to the extreme as possible. But, of course, you know, usually bigger risk means bigger profits, but when it's about securing your investments it is something else.
Bitcoin is a safe haven alright for the inflation beaten fiat currencies, but I don't understand what hedging effect you see in precious metal. I think you can simply hold the rest percentage of your fund in USD to cushion drawdown in your crypto holdings.

Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN?
by
Howell
on 16/10/2017, 15:44:32 UTC
No need to regret dude. It's not too late to buy some Bitcoin and hold it cause everything just started and there is still a long way Bitcoin need to go. Bitcoin has very good potential to reach to 10k$ in next 6 months so why don't you believe in Bitcoin this time? Just do it right now and I think you will never have to regret about your decision anymore Smiley
I agree with you that it's not too late to join the bitcoin flight, because the moon trip is for real. You may however want to wait for a market correction, after the recent ATH, so to enter the market below a peak value and avoid lots of drawdown should the market reverse and also to be able to make more profit.

Never too late you probably wont make as much money as people who invested in it years ago but you can very well still make some money.
That's right, it is proving to be never to late to buying bitcoin , but a time like today when a new ATH is made and above the $5000 level, we can expect that a lot of profit taking is going to follow and then price would likely drop. So buying at moments like this, may not be good invest decision.

Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin?
by
Howell
on 12/10/2017, 19:16:31 UTC
Standard wire transfers and foreign purchases typically involve fees and exchange costs. Since Bitcoin transactions have no intermediary institutions or government involvement, the costs of transacting are kept very low. This can be a major advantage for travelers. Additionally, any transfer in Bitcoins happens very quickly, eliminating the inconvenience of typical authorization requirements and wait periods.

Yes, bitcoin can makes traveling become more practically and fun. The regulation in my country, any person who carrying cash and / or other payment instrument of $10.000 or above or equivalent in or out of country shall notify customs and excise officials. If I forget I have to pay  fine 10 percent of the money that I carrying. If I use bitcoin, I can use it everywhere without any complicated procedure.  It's also makes me impress in bitcoin.
Hehe, it means you want to avoit the tax from the government of your country, but I also agree this benefit if we use Bitcoin to travel. Especial, I do not care the situation a crimial rob my wallet when I'm traveling because they can not rob my Bitcoin a normal way Cool
The intention could not have been to avoid tax payment, because we eventually pay tax once you go into real money. The best way to look at this development is make the emergence of bitcoin have empowered people to become their own bank and which they can carry along wherever they go.

Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ?

A number of financial institutions can no longer resist the mouth watering investment opportunity investing in bitcoin offers and they have secretly been buying it. As I write this, bitcoin is going for $5300.55 at Coindesk, imagine the windfall if one had bought some even yesterday! One does not need to be told that bitcoin is the best invest in our time.

Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ?
by
Howell
on 12/10/2017, 13:15:23 UTC
False dichotomy isn't it? Why not invest in a bit of both and hedge your bets?
I see you got a point in the suggestion to use one to hedge the other since they are more or less rivals. In that case, we would expect to see ether going down every time bitcoin goes up. Wondering is that really the case? If it is, then having the two in someways can limit over exposure to risk and at the same time make some profit.

Re: Bitcoin november hard fork?
by
Howell
on 12/10/2017, 12:52:15 UTC
This could be bad for bitcoin to experience or to have too much hard forks in this year because it is just making the name of bitcoin garbage because they are creating too much coins that are like bitcoin and it is better to just stick with bitcoin and make improvements without cloning bitcoin or making another new coin.
It's indeed not going to be a pleasant experience for Bitcoin because every hard fork results in a split of assets and investors, so the price of bitcoin is likely to drop afterwards, though with Bitcoin, we can rest assure that recovery is imminent. At any rate, the coins they're creating are far from being anything bitcoin, they're altcoins and there will always be one bitcoin.

Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear?
by
Howell
on 12/10/2017, 12:33:26 UTC
The real money will disappear but not because of cryptocurrency because of electronic payments .Now a days most of the peoples and shops are accepting electronic payments.i hope within one or two years electronic payments will spread all over the areas including the deep villages also.It does not mean that real currency will disappear it will live in the electronic currency.
I wouldn't see that as real money disappearing, it's just like the age long transformation money have been undergoing. Dollar from your card is still dollar and they won't make much sense if there are no more physical dollar. Likewise, cryptocurrencies are useless without real money, so they more or less compliment each other.

Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ?
by
Howell
on 02/10/2017, 14:44:15 UTC
Bitcoin has become a new power in the world of money as we all know that all sides deal with it so it has to survive until it become the powerful source of life . So what it is difference between bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? and why Bitcoin has become powerful among other currencies and cryptocurrencies  ?

In fact bitcoin is increasing exponentially in volume and numbers of transactions which will get us to the hell of thinking that bitcoin may take the lead of other cryptocurrencies if we don't say that it will take the lead of traditional currencies.because it has power which can fortify its presence in today world.

I think that not because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and being as a new innovation but because also that  the community behid bitcoin have never left bitcoin alone. Many companies have invested in bitcoin and are still working with it, sometimes it is overrated sometimes undervalued.
I think bitcoin's pioneer role is one of strong pillars bitcoin has - the huge community and capitalization all are early bird advantages. Bitcoin has answers for a number questions and yearning of people over the years and people on coming in contact with it, hardly let go.

Re: lest we forget, Bitcoin is a blessing.
by
Howell
on 02/10/2017, 13:20:37 UTC
Yes people should not forget that bitcoin is really a blessings to everyone of us and, because of it's good price increase it brought good benefits to us who waited this for so long. Now is the time for those who holds their bitcoin for a long period of time and yet the blessing is here happening in front of us, the reality of our hope has been a significant event on our lives which profit mainly involved in every price movement in the market.
Bitcoin is really a blessing because it give us financial freedom. In my college days financially i have nothing and i think that i can stop in pursuing my dreams but because of bitcoin i can now provide my financial needs. So bitcoin is really a big help especially when we are suffering in financial problems.
That is indeed a blessing! Bitcoin is truly a leveler with its emergence, a lot of opportunities have opened up for people who were yet to be gainfully employed to engage themselves and raise some funds for use in developing themselves and pursuit of better life.

Re: Japan Endorses 11 Bitcoin Exchanges
by
Howell
on 02/10/2017, 12:21:09 UTC
Good news to hear. Japan will be soon followed by China. Thus about (1/5)th of the world population will be involved and know about bitcoin. The last two weeks the bitcoin price was around 3500-4200, this will definitely help and decide the bitcoin price to continue to appreciate. Very good news, I am waiting for when Japan will be also involved in farming bitcoin for all the world.

It is indeed a good news, kudos to Japan! China was mistaken to have allowed itself stand in the way of a force, whose time have arrived. With the latest development Japanese exchanges are going to attract and mop up all those volumes China took for granted and that would be boost overall global demand for Bitcoin.
