Thanks guys and/or girls.. If it wasn't for you people my hair would be in a heap on the floor by now.

I was using Coinbase for selling BTC. I would appreciate any other recommendations for selling in the US.

I do now have an Electrum wallet. I tried doing a sweep from my Blockchain wallet but it was a no-go after their recent site 'upgrade'.

I did find a fraud hotline for Coinbase - 800 343 5845. I requested a callback.

If it's no joy there I'll be calling their investors next.

Rizz - it just occurred to me that I owe someone some money due in a few months and she is happy to accept BTC.  I might end up doing exactly that. Paper wallet and wait for amateur hour to be over Smiley

Coinbase. My patience with their bollocks is at an end.

Hi,

I am about to throw in the bitcoin towel for good. From Patrick Strateman to Blockchain wallet fiascos and now its effing Coinbase!

A while back I had a thread about how my online blockchain wallet was throwing some strange error, and no coins would move out of it. After almost two months Blockchain can't fix this and my coins are lost. There's a surprise, always happens during a price rise. Blockchain support says the problem is Coinbase sent me some double-spent coin change that threw a glitch they cannot so far find a way to fix.

Yeah... OK. $150 worth of BTC gone. Like being mugged, I can live with that once in a while. On to the next problem.

So I've had a Coinbase account for a while. Verified my identity with my passport ages ago and gave them the bank account details of mine and hubby's joint account. It all worked fine for ages.

I'm a Brit, he is a Yank, we live in the US. We have been using joint accounts but after a while I start feeling like a mail order bride from the 1950's so I want my own.

Oh dear, no SSN. Immigration have had my file for five years now and still can't make their minds up. Major pain to set up my own US bank account so hubby makes me a sub account in his account at Suntrust under my business name.

Yay - a US bank account of my very own!!

I send my Amazon earnings there, I send my Ebay earnings there, I send my bitc... oh, wait..

I add the sub account to Coinbase and it throws a wobbly. Note - I added it. I did not delete the joint account they have been perfectly happy with for months.

They asked me via email for an explanation of why my name isn't on this bank account. I sent them one, also mentioning their double spend issue.

No reply.

I log in to Coinbase a week later to find they want ID uploaded again. I upload it, Coinbase rejects it. I don't know why. it is my passport. They were just fine with it before.

I try checking my account to see if I can do anything. Anything at all. I can't. I can't send to the joint account either. it keeps asking me for ID it rejects. I look for a phone number so if I get nowhere my lawyer can call them as I don't have time for this bollocks right now. Specially not after they just nuked my Blockchain wallet with its BTC in.

Nothing. No phone number. ******* Amateur hour again.

The only thing it seems I can do is send coins to my Electrum wallet, but I am scared they will send me more doublespends and screw that up too. Technically is this a real possibility, or does everyone think that weakness was unique to the Blockchain wallet?

I'm going to find out who runs Coinbase, who invests in Coinbase etc.. and phone them up at dinner time every night till they fix this because I just hit my effing limit.

Thanks guys!

When did you have a problem, Shotev? Since the new interface upgrade?

So, trying to import my stuff to Electrum but I need the private keys. I can't find the export option anywhere on the site since that recent redesign.

Might start a pool soon on how long till blockchain.info announces a 'hack' Sad Possibly bit early, but their support is going a bit Intersango, if you know what I mean. All I've had out of them this past week is one copy and paste and a bit of mansplaining.

FWIW the error message has changed to "can't get a transaction lock".

And I still don't have a solution to this. Apart from using a different wallet and pointing my miners well away from Eligius. Blockchain.info aren't responding.

I think Longbob is onto something.

The latest incoming was two days ago, but there are smaller amounts in my wallet that`have been there a couple of weeks and it seems I can't spend any of it.

If Eligius was sending double spent coins, I'd not be the only one complaining.

I'm having the same problem - "Previous Tx is unspendable"

From 1Jig98ukzPTxzGU9bGTfxB9fqwe3rKcDtb which is my Blockchain wallet address for receiving newly mined coins from Eligius.

I have a question about ethernet cables. Can I use any ethernet cable or do I need a solid core CAT6 or something like that? It is going to be a long run from the router to the miner, about 100ft.

Cat5 or Cat6 are good for 100M. Mining data rates are low, either will be fine.

Thank you Rich. I'm not that technical.

Thank you for that!

if we put in a dryer outlet, what cord would we need to convert from a dryer outlet to connect to the unit?

I have an electrician here right now who has come to wire a 220v line for me. I am intending to use the PSU from Bitmain.

Can anyone tell us if the PSU comes with a power cord to plug into the outlet?

I am in the US and we don't know what sort of socket to install. Is it like for a US dryer?

There is a huge problem with Scrypt.cc. Withdrawals.

The BTC appears on your withrawals list, you click the confirmation email but the payment never hits the blockchain even though it is deducted from your account.

That has been my experience. About one time in four or five the money hits a black hole and support never answer or fix it. I lost more than I made there because of this withdrawl bug / design feature, so I got out what I could and fled.

I think it is to do with hitting the withdrawl confirmation link from a different device to the one you are currently logged in from.

Yeah, you could avoid doing that, but the fact is the webmaster neither knows nor cares.

What's the deal if you just got paid out earlier than you should have been?

I remember yesterday thinking 'these payments are coming back fast' and reinvesting (because they came back fast).

It was only much later on I saw I had been paid for one transaction BEFORE I SENT IT. I thought that was a little odd. I know this is an honest ponzi, but I didn't expect psychic.

So last time I looked, last night, I had two transactions in the unpaid part of the queue that I have actually been paid for already. I don't know where they are now or even if they are marked as paid.

I am away from home and can't get into my blockchain wallet till midnight, but when I do get home should I return these prematurely sent funds or will that mean they will no longer be paid when they do reach the end of the queue?

Goodmornig on blockchain ( https://blockchain.info/address/1QB5cSvnWFQiEUV6ojx6sYEFkeRYKNFmBx)
I see a Final Balance of 1.61080162 BTC is that right ?

That's what I see for a final balance.  Isn't that enough to pay out the 1.4BTC and get things moving again?
I think maybe people are waiting to see if that gets paid out before depositing again?

To answer your doubts. Why worry about all depositors and especially those applicants. I want to pay not only the 1.4 BTC, but also smaller too. Even why taking two big investors, we see that are the ones that make smaller deposits that are keeping the turnover of the site.
As this explained the due date varies by the amount of deposits being made, if we are getting somewhere around 2-3 BTC time each payment would not take more than 15-20 minutes with the new maximum of 0.5BTC of deposit. What I see and that a great competition of ponzis, and I repeat it or not automated it makes no difference. I follow the other pages and I see big problems and delays even getting many deposits and volume.

Thank you for the answer.
The problem is if you are going to not pay whoever the 1.4BTC in the order it should have been who is to say that you will not choose to skip over my .07BTC payment when its my order in the queue?
Also those big depositors make it so you can pay a lot more people so for you to skip paying them and pay others does not encourage other big depositors to join in.
Do you understand how this is really bad?

Well exactly.

I have not been paid even though other people later in the queue have been paid. I had one tiny correct payment, one tiny wrong payment and the rest are missing, despite several PM and using chat on the site.

If I get paid, I'll update this.

17spMRMFBounE17ZD8dL3Xrzr98bjFwVPK

No more BTC from me, or from anyone else, till I get paid.

What are the rewards?
200% of the biggest deposit from 1st place, 150% of the biggest deposit from 2nd place and 100% of the biggest deposit from 3rd place.
How can you guarantee the payment? From your own earning, betting that it will encourage enough people to play to compensate the paiment of the reward?

I will pay the winners from my own pocket!

I think I need some clarification :/

If someone deposits 1btc then 1 btc then 1 btc, that is a 3btc deposit, right?

What if someone deposits an enormous amount right at the very end?

Please excuse my poor understanding of the maths, but it seems to me that you could end up out of pocket. In theory :/

Dude,

I know why your blood pressure is so low and why you have the heart arrythmias, plus the ear trouble and all the other random shit, panic attacks etc..

Yup. Did my research. Now, I know you do every drug going, but it isn't that.

You scam scam scam all day, have a break for dinner then scam scam scam all night. If only I wasn't so upset at you scamming my friend MrHank, I would tell you all about my medical history, which is identical, and what I did to fix it.

I have been only minutes from death from time to time and I'm perfectly well again now. I didn't even need one of those X-Rays you are so petrified of.

Your choice dude. Live as an honest man for just one day and return MrHank's BTC within 24 hours, or I forget I ever heard of you.
