Re: Part II: USYK vs DUBOIS 19th July 2025
by

on 25/07/2025, 10:44:39 UTC
It's all over guys, Usyk proved his superiority again by knocking out Dubois in the 5th round. And when we thought that Dubois will make it a great fight, it seems that Usyk went on another level and deliver one of his best performance with that left hook that sent Dubois in the canvass twice. So there is no debate right now as who is the best heavyweight in this era. And with this win, Tyson Fury might be wanting to continue his retirement.  Grin. Although there is a report already that there will be a 3rd fight between the two but we might consider that it will still be the same result. But this time Fury might lose via knockout. I just look at the votes and it seems that this is one of those fights that most boxing fans here got it wrong as most of us voted for Dubois to win.
Dubois is a weak opponent for Usyk, I said this before the fight, and for the same reason I did not watch the fight, because it was clear that Usyk would win. We do not need another fight between Fury and Usyk, Fury retired and let him rest, he earned enough, I think that should be enough for him. Of course, I admit that due to the lack of a worthy opponent, another fight between them may take place at some point, but I think it is unnecessary.

Re: Why don't the rich people get addicted easily?
by

on 25/07/2025, 10:40:14 UTC

Some rich people may be more disciplined and can adapt and increase their funds quickly because of it. But this doesn't mean that all rich people are like this. There are those who make trivial money management mistakes, take too much risk, or even fall into tilt. This can be the case both with those rich people who are addicted to gambling and those who trade futures with leverage.
More risky people can quickly get rich, but then they can also quickly lose everything they managed to earn, or win in this contest. Systematicity and discipline will help to save what they managed to earn, because such people are less inclined to risk and rely only on their knowledge and not on some kind of chance or random luck. So you can't compare all rich people, they are also different and got their fortune in different ways.

Re: If you had infinite money, would you still gamble?
by

Well this things all depends on what everyone feels about gambling and why they engage in it. Some people gamble for the money while some gamble for fun. To those who gamble for the money they might not be too interested in it because they already have enough money so why waste time to gamble but to those who play for fun doesn't matter how much they have they will always have interest in it because they are always entertained.
Personally for myself I don't think I will have any reason to gamble if have infinite amount of money.
That is, it is interesting to play if it is for fun, but you would not play if you had endless money? So you definitely play to earn money, and if you can’t make money on gambling, then maybe there is no point in doing it. I am also not sure what I would do if I had endless money, most likely I would travel a lot, and this often requires a lot of energy for other things, so even if I played, I would definitely do it much less often.

I also think Ganacho is a good player, but I realize I'm not management or a coach. So I think the Man United coach and management want greater expectations from Garnacho at the moment. But during Amorim's time there that didn't seem to be met. So Amorim is preparing to sell him to get a player they think is better. This seems to be a situation we have to accept, although I think there are many factors in the success of players in the team including the coach himself. So Amorim must indeed be prepared to accept if indeed Garnancho performs better with other clubs.

Maybe Amorim is a good coach and sees how to make Manchester United better, but he is clearly limited in funding for new transfers. And maybe he is also right about the players he wants to sell, otherwise the team would be stronger, but if he came to such a team, he should have assumed that it would be difficult, because when he came here he saw that the club was doing very badly.

I don't think he'll show any sign of laziness cause if you want to be a serious player and get playing time at Barcelona then you'll have to be very hardworking on and off the pitch especially on the pitch, even Lewandowski that's older workers hard then why wouldn't Rashford, Hansi Flick is a no nonsense coach be won't tolerate any form of laziness from Rashford, I believe that on his first training he'll see for himself and see reasons to give his best so they'll be permanently buy him into the team, failure to do so would get him sent back to Manchester United and Rashford won't want that.
Because Lewandowski was hardworking even before he came to Barcelona. Look at how he worked at Bayern, he was in great shape and scored a lot of goals. At Barcelona, he tries to do the same, but obviously it is harder for him because he is not getting younger and he has to compete with younger players. But I recently saw how Lewandowski trains and I can’t say he is lacking in anything, although it is clear that it will get harder for him now. By the way, Rashford was lazy at Manchester United, and I don’t see him trying much harder at Aston Villa, so it also depends on the player.

It's getting more interesting, as Man City is back in the hunt for new players in this transfer window. They are currently targeting Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa, whose current market value is around €40,000 million, but Man City is reportedly bold and has submitted an offer of around €60 million. Diogo Costa is Portugal's mainstay goalkeeper, and his performance so far has been very promising and strong, making several crucial saves. And his height of 1.86 m is also quite helpful. Now, we are waiting to see how they are able to win the negotiation.

Source: Manchester City have made an approach to sign Diogo Costa
When it became known that Ederson was leaving City, it was clear that they would be looking for a new goalkeeper. And it was also clear that they would want to find the best possible replacement for him. I think Diogo Costa is one of the best, but I can’t remember such huge amounts ever being offered for goalkeepers. Although I’d say that Ederson was quite a good keeper, City are clearly working on strengthening their defense.

Re: What is the cost of your mistakes?
by

on 23/07/2025, 11:14:17 UTC

Many mistakes are made on one's own, resulting in significant losses, which clearly affect one's psychological state. However, these mistakes are not serious and can be handled on one's own. After that, one can learn from the many mistakes that have been made, and of course, the risk of losing a lot of money will no longer occur. Even if one wins, one will not be tempted to continue playing but will instead withdraw and enjoy the winnings.
A calculating player will do exactly this, either you play without big losses and control yourself, or when you win something, you withdraw part of the deposit. It seems to me that with this approach, making mistakes is rare, because if you do not play more than the permissible budget, then this is already a limiter that will hold you back. I did not have a tendency to play too long or spend a lot of money for this, so I was able to avoid big mistakes.

Grin
Grin

You shouldn't blame Sancho for refusing to accept Chelsea's offer because he thought he was going to get a better offer from another club, but that didn't happen because few clubs were only interested in signing him from Manchester United. I even heard the offer Sancho accepted from Juventus is even below what Chelsea offered him. Juventus and Manchester United have already agreed on a transfer fee for Sancho, and I don't think Inter Milan can hijack the deal because they need to agree on personal terms with Sancho first before they can submit a bid to Manchester United.
Maybe Sancho was not only motivated by the contract amount but also by whether he would get a place in the starting lineup or not. I think he has a much better chance of playing in Juventus than in Chelsea, where he would most likely become a player who often sits on the bench. I don't think Juventus is capable of getting a very big benefit from this transfer, but in recent seasons they have focused on such average transfers.

It's one thing to inherit a very good squad and another thing is managing them properly, if Slot wasn't a good manager he wouldn't have won the league with that squad so let's not give Klopp all the praises and forget to acknowledge Arne Slots good effort last season, some coach would had finished in a good spot even with that squad Klopp left for him.

Also, Arne Slots success last season wasn't dependent on City's decline, Liverpool kept a very good record in the league last season while Manchester City were drawing and throwing away points, Liverpool were winning their matches and adding to their points, they top the runners up Arsenal with about 10 points.
No one knows how things would have turned out if City had continued to dominate in the English Premier League. If they hadn’t had any kind of crisis, Liverpool might have played differently too. It’s one thing to compete when you have a worthy opponent and you're going toe to toe with them, and a completely different thing to dominate without feeling any competition from other teams. In that case, you play much more easily, without pressure.

I hope City will show their former strong form this season, and then we’ll be able to see how good Liverpool really are. But Liverpool have undergone many changes, both in attack and in defense, and I think that could affect the team. So I believe this season will be more difficult for them either way.

Re: Trading business vs. gambling business in crypto

As far as I remember, Forex in the CIS is a synonym for the word Fraud. These are small firms that did not release their users' transactions to the market and could change quotes at any time. They did not withdraw money to those who won a lot, but immediately closed the account. I myself was registered in this, and saw this fraud. Nevertheless, if Forex is understood as an honest company, then it is the same money intermediary as a casino. I believe that there is not much difference between them, except that in a physical casino the payment of winnings is guaranteed.
I’ve never dealt with Forex, but I’ve heard several stories about brokers who earned a commission from each transaction and carried out a large number of trades just to quickly get their cutlosing the client’s money in the process, of course. So yes, most people tend to associate Forex with scams. At least personally, I’ve never heard anything good about it. I also tried registering there, even did a bit of demo trading, but didn’t go any further because I discovered the crypto market and fully immersed myself in it.

Times are hard in this generation and nobody wants to marry a liability anymore, people who are getting into marriage are looking for partners that can make their lives better. In the old days and traditionally the man goes out to work while the woman manages the home, this is still practiced but most new couples work. Men are finding it quite hard to carry their family responsibilities alone so most of them are looking for industrious women as wives. Women that don't bring anything to the table finds it quite difficult to get husbands, they are expected to have a job, a business or profitable skills so that they can support their husbands financially.
If the husband cannot earn enough to provide for the family, then the wife is also forced to work. The family must decide all this on its own, I know families where both work, or where only the husband works and the wife takes care of the children and keeps order at home, this is also normal, the most important thing is that this order of things suits everyone. There is no one correct algorithm for everyone, we grew up and were brought up in different families.

Are you sure that you know when Amorim took over from Ten Hag. It was close go the middle of th3 season and that means he hasn't spent up to one season. You should see the weak players that Ten Hag bought which led to his sack. How do you expect a new coach to use such players to achieve a better result. Amorim only focused more on Europa League last season and he almost won the trophy but the same weak players messed it up. I can boldly tell you that currently, United have a game pattern unlike, when Ten Hag was in charge.
Amorim also made many mistakes, he concentrated all his efforts on the Europa League and completely ignored the Premier League games, besides, if he didn’t like the players that Ten Hag bought, then what was wrong with Rashford? In any case, I think Amorim is a weak coach and I don’t believe that Manchester United will be able to show a better game in the new season. And these few transfers will not be enough to change anything significantly, and since there are not so many new transfers, he will have to rely on the players he currently has in the team.

What!! Barcelona interested in Rodrygo? I haven't read this rumor but I'm sure it's just a rumor from some shady media outlet. The reason is Real Madrid might not agree to a loan deal and even if they do it's likely to be to another club. They only want to sell for their asking price, which is 100 million. With this in mind how can Barcelona spend that much money when their finances are so unstable? And I've heard that Barcelona main focus right now is Luis Diaz, who could have a lower release clause.
Barcelona have signed many players with financial problems, they have simply learned to live with it and are trying to cope with it in different ways. They were going to get Williams this year, so they had the money for it, and since that transfer did not take place, now they are looking for another forward, and why not consider Rodrigo. Although I agree that the transfer fee is very high for a player who spends so much time on the bench, and there is no guarantee that Rodrigo will play more time in Barcelona, because the competition there is also very high.

That is definitely true, they reacted as if Ancelotti was a terrible manager during his sacking, but the reality is simple, he won 2 UCL and 2 la liga titles while he was there, and I am sure some cups too that I can't really think of. There aren't really anything else that we could see about this situation.

So we can't really see the current situation suddenly better, because while Xabi has proven himself at Leverkusen, Ancelotti also won 50% of the la ligas he managed, 4 years, 2 titles, and same for UCL as well. Without injuries, he would have probably do a lot better next season as well. There aren't that many situations that can get better, Ancelotti could do great this season as well, considering the team, as long as they stay healthy. So, Xabi has a huge chip on his shoulder.
I think that if Ancelotti had stayed at Real, he would have had a few more good seasons and would have won a few titles, because now the defenders are back in training and preparing for the new season. Perhaps Ancelotti thought that they would return earlier, when he was in no hurry to buy new defenders, but the season turned out to be more difficult than he expected. It should be easier for Alonso because firstly he bought a few new defenders, and secondly Carvajal and Militao are returning to the game, if this is not enough for him, then I don’t know what else can help him.

Rodrygo was one of the most useful players last season. I don't understand why he was left out when Alonso arrived.
I didn't see him at the Club World Cup. I thought he was injured, but it turns out he was in a different situation.
If he's not in Real's plans, Rodrygo leaving would be beneficial for him. Many clubs would want him. If he wants to leave, there are plenty of clubs in the Arabian League interested in him.
He's a useful player, but as far as I can tell, he doesn't fit into Alonso's system.
On one hand, Rodrygo is used to this kind of treatment. Even under Ancelotti, he spent a long time being a bench player. But lately, especially when Vinicius was injured, he was getting a place in the team and played quite well. However, with Alonso's arrival, he slightly changed the player setup, he puts Bellingham in the attacking line. And that’s not very good for Rodrygo, because there's no spot left for him up front. Moreover, since Alonso started involving the young Garcia, things could get even worse for Rodrygo. But I think Real has a very tight schedule, and he will still get his time to prove how good he is.
