Re: Year of altcoins or down again?

Undoubtedly, the cryptocurrency has suffered a huge decline in recent years. I believe that this is a temporary crisis, as it happens in the classical economy.

recent years? I think that is just a few months, maybe from March this year.

Yes, we are in a bearish period in crypto now but I believe it will come to an end soon because it is only temporary and the price of coin will increase and Yes altcoin will grow gradually as the market increases. We need to be patient and let the market recover.

The price of the coins are rising now. Maybe the bear market has finished.

I too hold the opinion that altcoins will show good growth this year, that's why I bought some more promising altcoyins.

It depends on the altcoin. The Monero, Bitcoin Cash or ETH will rise a lot.

MonetaryUnit is not a scam. MUE is the result of 2014 Quark fork. Its wallets work without any problems and you can use them without any fear. Nobody complained for MonetaryUnit as something illegal or a kind of a “scam”.

Yes, they use 10% of all reserved coins for the project development, but it is a norm.

Can you use it to buy things?

http://wccftech.com/amd-rx-vega-64-pushed-43-5mhs-130w-mining-ethereum-eclipsing-polaris-efficiency-factor-2x/

Here a test was done and it seems to prove Redditor's post.

130 watt and 43.5 mh

Best results
maybe with next drivers Hashrate up to 50-60 Mhs

max 60 mhs is real for Vega 64
They all get 43.5 only for small DAG currencies.
They are gettin 38-40 with ethereum.
They are not using blockchain drivers.
My results aren't so good in terms of power (160-200watt) but give 44.2 with ETH.

Is that single or dual mining?

AMD has better option when it comes to mining software and usually when new algo shows up amd is the first one to get miner for it.
Nvidia has lower power consumption so if you have high electricity cost nvidia might be better for you.

Things might change when Vega is out.

Looks like the L3 is going to be what the A4 was supposed to be... A game changer.  This miner could force the retirement of the Titan's and even the A4's.  Of course the devil is in the details.

Will it crash the ltc price?

Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v8.0
by

on 29/11/2016, 08:26:23 UTC
Just thought I would share my benchmarking of the R9 nano.

All power measurements were done at the wall to be 100% accurate.
Benchmarks were done with  Claymore ZEC - v8.0 (-i 4)

Stock:
1 gpu: ZEC: 272 h/s Watts: 200w

-100mV ROM
1 gpu: ZEC: 211 h/s Watts:  91w

-125mV ROM
1 gpu: ZEC: 217 h/s Watts: 90w

you are missing a -100 core undervolt benchmark for stock

Marvell is correct.

using AB, crank down core to -100 -mV or -96 mV, you can easily get 150watts on stock card - it's a easily forgiving card.

That is right. The memory undervolt does not make much differnce. It is 1W difference from -100mV to 125mV.

but the miner is 100% faster.

Thats the pool fee anyway, it will get updated to support more pools.

That is right. The 4% fee is still much cheaper than buying the hashing from the Genesis mining direclty.

Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin?

I think it's not very tough to earn million with bitcoin. I wish i had bought 1000btc in back 2011 and if had done that in 2011 then now the world would see me as billionaire. but unfortunately i hadn't doge this so I can't become billionaire with bitcoin now.

Well you can say that it is not tough to become a millionaire in bitcoin if you are going to back to the past. But the reality is we are already in year 2016 and 2017 is coming so let's just move on. Because if you are going to keep on coming back to the past that is not going to help you to reach your goal to become a millionaire soon.

If you bought 5,000 bitcoin 5 years ago, you are already multi millionaire. But not many people are so brave.

The plan is easy and well organized, executing it is a different matter though Cheesy :
-Get 200-300 BTC "somehow"
-Wait for the price to reach $1,000 or so, Which shouldn't be as far-sighted like $5,000 and such
-Withdraw and exchange for USD, wait for another chance to re-enter with BTC.

That is the right strategy. But it is better not to withdraw from exchange as US dollar, just use the bitcoin.

When I have capital available to  invest and when I see,  of course, a good pricing... then  I buy and hold. I am rarely doing trade , surely I will need more knowledge  of the market to do that  more often.

Buy and hold is the best strategy for the bitcoin investment. If you want to help bitcoin more, you can also spend some.

That could be the reason why there are some many ETC shills in the forum to promote the scam coin now.

Scam coin? You don't seem to understand that ETC is the original ether. You are saying that ethereum has always been a scam, but the new ethereum is not. I have to respectfully disagree with you.

The ETH is the original Ethereum as most voters voted to do the hard fork and it was also supported by most miners.

It is not about "differing philosophies" in Bitcoin and Ethereum. The truth is they have the same philosophy. If you ask the development team of both what their philosophies are about blockchains and decentralization, I know most of them would have almost the same answers. But I do not know why Vitalik and his development team thought it was ok to roll back the transaction history even if they intend to do it only once. Now people are thinking that Bitcoin and the Ethereum fork have different philosophies.

Maybe someone should interview Vitalik and ask him why he thought it was ok to roll back the transaction history.

He has stated clearly in the blogs in the past that it is OK to rool back the transactions to protect the Ethereum ecosystem.

But some scammers and friends of the hackers do not like the roll back of the block chain. They will lose the stolen funds.

in my opinion, to be rich with bitcoin, is to make a trade. because bitcoin market and altcoin. Because the coin besides bitcoin is also of no value, and the difference between the price of the coin we can profit.

Trading bitcoin and other coins could be a good idea. But you have to trade good coins, not the scam coins.

I will buy some bitcoin when the price is lower than $600. After that, I will save the bitcoin and use it in 20 years.

ETH is still on very early stage, I wouldn't say this hard fork indicates different philosophy. Bitcoin has also been hardforked at the beginning to fix vulnerabilities.

The Ethereum is just one year ago. It will have some growth pains. I can understand that and give it chance.

ZCash could be a good one. It is still in test at the moment. Do not know when it will be released in the future.
