It's one of the options para ma verify na siya nga may ari ng address where the funds came from. Daming magaling mang uto online lalo na sa crypto space kaya na uso ang social engineering in crypto scams at nakapag result ng $ million of loses.

At bakit hindi agad i send back sa sending address ng transaction for refund kase hindi natin alam if own wallet address ang gamit pag send, minsan exchange ang gamit ng iba, at base sa exchanges system ng sending tx, its from exchange hot wallet address then send to withdrawal address ng users which is multiple sending ang nagaganap. If ise-send back natin dun sa sending address for refund ay malamang sa exchange ma si-send yung fund at hindi sa mismong owner.

That's the best way naman talaga, pero for verification i need a signed message from the sending address, convincing reasons bakit nangyari nun after mag contact sa'kin yung original owner "kuno" kase anyone can come up ng common story na mali pagka send etc.
