I can send remaining coins to c-cex or any party trusted for destruction. (I am not sure if they accept this but just an idea so i don't have to hard-fork) Our distribution wallets is known in the OP.
Destroying coins would be a very bad move here is why :
-coin would be rare instantly and it will kill the creation of a large userbase.
-miners would move in quickly and mining is only for the BIG guys, mine and then dump.
Best thing to do after distro officially has ended to use an alternative way for distro for coins that are left.
How about fun and games ?
Let people mine while playing a game or solving captcha's.
Create competition and have a daily bonus for every x thousand player.
See captcoin and what active community it has created in a short time.
Use some of the coins as rewards for translations, creating site, forums the usual works.
Use coins for setting up promotion campaigns, marketing is important.
Create polls if you want to know what the community wants.
Lets do some brainstorming !

There is some history here (all written in the OP), and because of it the online betting system is currently down.
As expected, coins are dirt cheap right now!!
We are doing everything we can to remedy the situation, and bring betting back as quick as we can.
