Thanks for all the replies...

I might br new to the crypto arena, but I'm not completely stupid. It concerns me that that many people fall for it and then get utterly shocked when they get screwed.

That's what my gut was telling me, but I figured I'd inquire to people more knowledgeable than myself and make sure...
Thanks all!

I was wondering if anyone has come across a website bitgenerator.cloud...
I came across it on bonusbitcoin.com and it says it will mine btc but to get it you have to pay a miner fee of .00147btc. That's like 28.00$.
Is this a scam or legit? There's people commenting that it's amazing but I dunno...

Any thoughts?

Hi, if you really want to buy some BTC and altcoin then please do your research on exchanges not in telegram. Exchanges are the right place where you can invest your money. In the telegram, you won't get the right information about the investment.

I just happened to run across an ad and thought I'd see what it was all about... I wasn't doing research...as soon as i installed the app i could tell that it was going to be nothing but trouble...

First they claim the trading course is for free then they ask you to make a deposit. Then, when they realised this is not working, they contacted you and offered 10x profit opportunity!! Just use common sense, no investment will give you a 10x profit back in 12 hours.

the one that said he could 10* my 100 dollars was some other trading group that was a part of the BeInCrypto group.. 2 different scammer groups within 1!!

And no, I didn't fall for it... That's why I figured I'd post asking about it...

If it's your first time buying cryptos what about using an exchange platform or a P2P marketplace instead of crawling on Telegram groups?

That's what I want to do, I jsut fiigured that I could get some more intel as to which one to use or something along those lines... but I'm starting to think this telegram is bullshit....Ive already been called a scammer because some random chick messaged me asking for a screeenshot of my wallet to prove i wasn't a scammer, then when i told her no she called me a real scammer from the us and blocked me lol!!

I just want to buy some dam btc or altcoin and sit on it...i think thats the best way to make anything right now...

Telegram group BeInCrypto Trading Community...Legit or scam? HELP
by

So, I've yet to buy any crypto yet because I keep reading about all these scams. I came across some ad offering a free trading course. So I joined Telegram, and joined this group called BeInCrypto Trading Community. When asked how do I access the course, the admin for the group PMd me and told me that to access it I need to put $50 into Stormgain with a link http://[Suspicious link removed]/BeInCryptoPremium and then screenshot my balance. He says that this will remain my money and I can withdraw at any time making their services completely free...
I haven't yet...I just have a wierd feeling about it...

then a group member offered a "mentorship" so I was interested, and through her came to this group called Best Top Trade Option and that manager-Aaron Carlock is saying that minimum investment is $100 to earn10* after 12 hours after i deposit to livebitcoin.com

HELP...
I dont want to get scammed but I don't want to miss out on making money either...

this project cannot change any world. the project was created by people who are investors of cryptocurrency PRIZM and now when the price of PRZM has fallen very low, they wanted to earn on their project which will also not bring any benefit to the cryptocurrency world but will simply take money from misunderstood people

Too bad! Had i not read your comment, being totally new to everything crypto, it sounds like an amazing thing, until I looked into PRIZM a little..

So, basically, it's most likely a scam to get people? That sucks.

The website is 888tiger.com...

I hope its not a scam...but it doesn't really matter as much anymore because my stupid ass lost a fair amount of the money now Undecided(but its still worth more than i deposited...)

I was hoping to withdraw the money as bitcoin (it seems like the simplest way to invest in bitcoin) and then just deposit a little bit back on but its looking like if it is a real casino, i'll end up just putting it back in and hoping I can get it up to something worthwhile.

Ok. So I just setup a legacy wallet. Now how do I request money with my wallet address? And are there any settings that I need to change within the electrum app itself?

I'm sorry I'm still not getting this yet...starting to feel really dense. But I still haven't finished setting up the wallet because I don't know about the casino yet, but can I create both types of wallets within electrum; a segwit and a legacy?

Create a new seed.

Then you will have the option to choose between Segwit or Legacy (Legacy has more compatibility with most websites/exchanges while Segwit has better fees but slight less compatibility with a few websites).

And please, write down the seed that shows up (the list of words). If you lose those, you will lose your coins if anything happens with your wallet or PC.

Wonderful.. Thank you for the prompt response!

in "Choose seed type" page choosing SegWit is better as your transaction fees will be less than the other option plus some other benefits, but it will create a new address format (new meaning 3 year old) called Bech32 (address starts with bc1) this format may not be accepted by some services so if you wanted to withdraw bitcoin from those to this wallet you wouldn't be able to. i would argue that you shouldn't be using a service that hasn't upgraded their system after 3 years but if you had no other choice you should select the other option called "Legacy" which creates Base58 addresses (they start with 1) and they are accepted everywhere but your transaction fees will be higher.

The options that popped up were:

+Create a new seed
+I already have a seed
+Use a master key
+Use a hardware device

Which do I choose??

So, I just downloaded Electrum and was setting it up and when i got to the screen where it asks what kind of wallet I want to create, my Norton Power Eraser popped up saying that it detected a lot of outbound traffic and if I wanted to run it... Should there be a lot of outbound traffic when setting up my wallet?

And which type of wallet should I choose?

THank you for all of the extremely useful answers. I have not withdrawn to coinbase yet because I didn't evven realize that they offered a wallet. With all this info, I'm definitely NOT gonna utilize their service, but now I'm concerned that I linked my bank account to them. Should I reverse that and get rid of that account altogether?

Withdrawing Bitcoins from Online Casinos

So, I'm completely new to Bitcoin. I'm looking to invest in it a little after reading about the halving coming up, but before I do, I'm trying to learn the basics about it.

I've been playing in an online casino and I have $300 I can withdraw but the only way to cash it out is through Bitcoin.
I came across an article stating that to do this, to set up a coinbase account and  a blockchain.com account. I did that, linked my blockchain account to my bankcard, then tried to connect to the exchange, and it told me that my state (Oregon) doesn't allow blockchain to operate.

So I hopped on chat with Customer service and through a LONG chat, come to find out that blockchain.com is just a site, not the official blockchain that crypto is based on... It's just THAT website not allowed in Oregon (I thought they meant crytpo in general!)

So, they deleted my account and now I have NO IDEA what to do. How do I withdraw from that casino? I now have no wallet. And I dont know the best way to proceed.

Any help/advice?
