Re: WOMEN ARE BETTER TRADERS
by

So I have come across this argument more often than necessarily recently so let me talk about it,. Women are considered to be better traders with the argument that
 1. they are better pressure absorbers and so can be more calm in face of market rationalities unlike men who are very abrupt nd quick in both decision  making and in reaction,.
2. they argued that women have the capacity to multitask and still make sure everything is in place which adds as a layer of advantage to them in the trading space and helps them to be more calm unlike men that are one thing at a time creature..lolz,.
Well what are your thoughts? are women really better traders than men,?
Com'on on, you heard that, and you believed it?
How is it possible for a woman be a better trader than a man when we all know that women are emotional creatures, and you and I also knows that in trading, all your trading skills and capabilities becomes useless if you attached emotions to it, besides it's just few women that trades, so they can't just say that women are better trader when the few one's exploring the market are still living under the shadows of men, though I might be wrong, but women are no where near as good as men when it comes to trading, because due to how emotional they are, it's one stumbling block that can't make them to be successful in trading, because you can't be emotional while trading, and you and I knows that emotions and women are like 5 & 6, so how are they going to be better than men on that regardless?
In my own perspective, this is the most stupid argument ever.

Lolz if I had believed it I wouldn't have posted it here,. I need to hear from other traders especially the more experienced ones what their journey have been like and what they think about this school of thought that women are better traders than men

All I keep reading is they argued lol! Please can you tell us who are they that were arguing that women are better traders?
This is just crazy because I am still thinking who are they that were arguing that women can swallow pressure compared to men.
Anyone can reach any length or limit depending on individual proactiveness which does not depend on the gender involved.
Anybody can trade in the market and make money for themselves. It's not something that is dedicated to a particular gender which is why I think ansmyone can trade and make money from the market independent on the gender involved.

You don't have to know to know who the "they" are sir, incase you have not come across the argument before thats fine and that's why I brought it here for other trader's to share their opinion

Re: Psychology or emotions?

psychology and emotions contributes mostly to trading success or failure, I think they both have equal weights in effect on an individual in the trading industry

For example indiscipline may most likely have the same effect as fear or greed on a trader per time....what you think, does one have influence more than the other and how?

The first thing you must learn as a trader is emotional discipline, this is what is going to help you avoid unnecessary losses. The market can mess with your mental state sometimes and if you are not mature it would be disastrous for you. I would suggest that topics on trading psychology should be taught in trading academics because so many beginners are out there falling into the mental trap of revenge trading. An emotional trader can never be successful, you must avoid greed at all cost. If you are serious about minimizing your losses you'd focus on strategic trade instead of flipping cause that's almost like gambling.

Very true sir, the challenge is just that alot of traders don't want to learn these things even when someone is ready to teach them, they just want to make money

I think I have to disagree that women are better traders than men. Maybe there are few women traders out there who are doing great in trading but majority are still men who love to risk for rewards. They say women can be calm, but I don’t think they can still remain calm when they have seen that their trades have consistently end up losing, given the fact that women are more emotional whenever negative outcomes often happen in them. In fact, women easily get discouraged and could quit early in trading, unlike men who can be more seen flexible and tough especially when it comes to decision making.

Well what are your thoughts? are women really better traders than men,?
It can go both ways TBH. I've seen lots of traders online already. Both men and women that's why I don't want to say that women are better than men and vice-versa. I'm a man, but I don't want to be bias knowing that anybody can be a good trader.

A success of a trader depends on knowledge, how discipline they are, risk management, and emotional control, not the gender of the person. Yes, what OP had said might affect the trader, but that doesn't show that women are better in trading than men. At the end of the day, it's not all about the gender - it's all about the skill, the mindset, and the strategy of the trader.

Just for context, based on some studies, men are thriving in quick decision-making so that negates the first one that OP has shared to us. Cheesy

It is not an argument for or against, it is a decision based on thoughts and experience from traders,. Women are naturally born with some qualities that  helps in the trading space which I have mentioned just few, so some persons believe that because of those inborn traits they will do better than men if given equal knowledge, skill and opportunity

they could be, but at the end of the day there need to be proper study about the statistics, the thing is, trading platform never really reveal genders, so we have no way knowing.

I personally have seen good amount of female traders that makes big profit but I also think that trading as a money making activity doesn't care about your gender. also, people are dynamic not 1 dimensional, regardless of gender, some are good at multitask some are good at one task.
at the end of the day, the result depends on you as an individual.

Actually the conversation is not really about statistics, hopefully someone will take time and do that forensic research and come up with the real data, this conversion is based on what we think k as trsders ourselves

I actually agree with you. I believe that if 50 males and 50 females were trained to the same level of trading ability and skill, women would outperform men for the reasons you stated. It would coincide with statistics relating to men being more willing to take risk, while women generally tend to be more conservative (which ultimately works in favor of skilled traders). I think that the reason that we don't know or hear of more talented female traders is simply because becoming a trader and learning through research/experience is more attractive to males than females.

On point sir, I think even though the trading world is more populated with more men than women,  if they are given equal chances,. They most likely will do better at trading,. They are inbuilt with natural characters of a trader. the only lacking part is the knowledge

Re: Is there anything special about trading?
by

on 26/02/2025, 16:50:24 UTC
I can relate with your state of mind at the moment, most times its due to the typical impatient nature of man, "instant gratification mindset" and everybody goes through it, however trading does not need to be special it just has to be profitable,. Are there consistently profitable traders? Yes, are there loosing traders yes,. The presence of one does not cancel the other we just need to understand the difference and find out what the winners are doing that the loosers are not doing,.
Analyses alone is not enough most times
.....Strategy is needed
.....experience is needed,
.....hardwork on the right things is needed,
.....proper mentorship is needed,
.....patience is needed,.
.....Proper psychology is needed
.....Proper emotions is needed
Without following these steps you are just gambling and alot of people we call traders are actually just gamblers
And finally don't ever start trading as a beginner with an amount of equity you cannot loose,.dont ever use your rent, school fees or borrow money to trade..
Try these for 6 months/1 year consistently as see for yourself that trading can be profitable

I was listening to one trader on YouTube and be said, that it's better to trade once in a week or a month, rather than gambling on the market on daily basis. The reason why only a few traders are profitable is because they understand that they don't need to rush profit making in the market, they just need to take trades only when they have got to many confirmation of the direction of the market and even if it take them one week or month time of waiting before they take trade, they will wait.

Less is always more in trading if you the less is always in the right direction, maybe not all the tk e but atleast majority if the time

Some people prefer day trading or scalping just because of short term means of earning money. But they do not know that patience is very good in trader. That is the reason you will see swing traders and holders making the money while most scalpers and days traders are losing.

It's also hard to keep up with scalping, so I'm okay with day trading only where 1 hr timeframe is fine for me because it's pretty safe as long as it's only in the spot, not in futures.

So it's good that we know for ourselves where we are as traders level so that at least we can determine where we will place or place correctly so that at least we can minimize our
losses that we may face.

Yea it is really good every trader knows and understands what works for them not doing because someone else is doing it

One of the mistakes traders makes when coming into the space of trading and investing in the digital markets like Bitcoin is having the mindset of guaranteed instant wealth, most believe trading is an access to guaranteed wealth,. Not knowing that just like any other industry there are ups n downs and hard work on the right information, patience and time is the real rewarder not mere presence and availability, you can't join the police today and become an IG next month, you can't join the military today and become a general next week, you can't become a doctor today and turn a consultant tomorrow, just like every other field, success in trading cannot happen overnight
Just like on everything on which if you would be putting up yourself being that too confident on dealing with it and expecting that it could bring out success immediately. The wrong thing about other people is that they've been expecting too much on which it doesnt get in line on whats the real deal specially with trading. Acquiring up such skills wont really be that so easy and does really take up some time and requires tons of efforts on which you would really be that needing up to consider on grasping into it once you've seen yourself on doing trades. Mistakes are common but usually you will be able to adapt specially on trading mistakes on where you do make out those realizations along the way at the moment or time that you will be able to experience trading on which its inevitable. It do really just that depend on how you would be making out such acceptance.

People do really just that become delusional at the time that they are on first time on experiencing such thing specially if they do saw that they can potentially make money then they do assume that they can be able to make money as well on easy manner, without even trying out to think on how other traders do able to commit or achieve such situation that they had that become that sustainable or profitable. There's no issue on making them to be an inspiration but dont make yourself that being too positive because it will be that making you delusional instead on which this is really that indeed bad.

I read you clearly sir, they mostly focus on the result of advanced and experienced traders instead of focusing and paying attention to process and the time they have spent before seeing such great results

Because of how the economy has become difficult, some people will never learn their lesson and will still choose to be involved in scamming others of their cryptocurrency. There are some people who have equated the difficulty they are facing from the economy to any punishments they will get if they get caught for stealing from others, and so because of this, do not consider that as anything much.

Newbies to cryptocurrency are the most at danger to this; this is why they need to be extra cautious.

Honestly bewbies are the most vulnerable to this,

Re: $87 Million Crypto Scam Exposed, Norway Charges Four Suspects
by

on 19/02/2025, 17:27:37 UTC

Norwegian authorities have prosecuted four men in connection with a large-scale investment scam that allegedly defrauded investors of NOK 963 million ($86.5 million) between March 2015 and November 2018.

According to Økokrim, Norway’s economic crime agency, the operation worked by encouraging people to buy “product packages” containing digital assets. However, the only money flowing in came from new investors, making it a classic Ponzi scheme.

Prosecutors claim more than NOK 700 million ($62.7 million) was laundered through a Norwegian investment firm before being transferred to accounts in several Asian countries.

The four accused are Norwegian men in their 50s, 60s, and 70s. Three are suspected of collecting money from investors, while the fourth is accused of handling the laundering process.

Among the accused is Terje Hvidsten, a former art dealer with previous fraud convictions. Another suspect, Dag Hætta Eriksen, also has a criminal record related to fraud and corruption. The remaining two suspects include a 52-year-old from Romerike, who denies any wrongdoing, and a 70-year-old former lawyer accused of laundering funds.

The scheme operated under different names, including Crypto888 Club, Octa Partners, and Nano Club. Each rebranding introduced a new cryptocurrency—OctaCoin, NanoCoin, and Ormeus Coin.
Please guys let's be careful, crypto scams are getting crazier by the day

https://www.bitdegree.org/crypto/news/87-million-crypto-scam-exposed-norway-charges-four-suspects

The level fraudulence activities in the world now is becoming unbearable and if drastic measure is not put in place to curtail fraudulence activities it will be very dangerous to what the impact will be in the near future because many people are now seeing fraud as a career.
I think the best way to comb fraudulence activities across the world is to put a dead penalty to anyone found guilty of fraud.
As for those four men, they should be sentence to dead if they are found guilty of the crime labelled against them to serve as a warning to other fraudster or to anyone that is aspiring to be a fraudster.

My dear the truth is even if a death penalty is placed on it, people will still do it,  i think the best way to avoid or atleas caution this is for traders and investors to take their time to learn about crypto before finally investing in it,.then always use a regulated and well used exchange for transactions

$87 Million Crypto Scam Exposed, Norway Charges Four Suspects

Does this have anything to do with Bitcoin? Most cryptocurrencies are by their nature scam projects that have no goal or purpose, and the sooner people realize this, the sooner they will avoid falling for such cheap tricks. The only thing interesting to me in this story is that it managed to happen in Norway, which is one of the best regulated countries in the world, and that they have only now decided to do something about it.

Although perhaps all of this is not so strange, the Nordic countries are clearly not what they once were, or at least that's how it seems to me.

The scam is spreading even into countries that where once strictly regulated,
