Re: iShowspeed vs. Manny Pacquiao exhibition fight?
by

I think Jake Paul has started a whole new trend, with all these exhibition fights that he did against real boxers. The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight literally lit a flame under the streamer community, and it triggered renewed interest in high paying events like this.  Roll Eyes

This is a money printer for streamers with a lot of followers, because they know lots of people will pay to watch them fight. It is also an opportunity for older boxers to make some extra money... after their professional boxing career ended.

I do not bet on exhibition fights, because I think the outcome are pre-determined to generate opportunities for a re-match.  Tongue

Re: Stake.com - The Good, the bad, the ugly...

A lot of people will exploit the bonus system, if they figure out how it is calculated. The bonus system would reward you, if you lost a lot of money during the week or the month, but the moment when you win a lot of money, it will give you a shitty reward. (It happened to me over the weekend, when I hit a 900x multiplier, just before the Weekly was paid out, and it punished me!)

So, if you play games with a higher Return to Player, your reward will be much different to when you wager with something with a lower RTP.  (Basically, the more you lose, the higher your reward)  Roll Eyes

Stake.com still give some of the best bonusses in the industry, so people should acknowledge that and make the best of it.  Cool

The world changed a lot after the Covid epidemic, when companies and workers realized that they could work remotely from home. A lot of people now work from remote locations, where they can enjoy the country life and where they do not have the daily stress to commute in busy traffic between work and home.

Internet bandwidth has also improved in third world countries, so people are not leaving their countries to work in first world countries. (Take for example all the developers and programmers that are working for large companies from India)

People have changed after Covid, they now want a more relaxed life, and they want to work from home.  Wink

Re: [2024-09-15] Bitcoin Investor Faces Prison Time for Underreporting Crypto Gains
by

I think people look at the taxes and they reckon that share for the government is way too much, so they take their chances and the under report their gains. I actually over report and then I get audited and the government will owe me money, so they leave me alone.  Grin

I would have been able to buy several cheap cars, with the money I had to pay on the capital gains taxes that I had to pay over the last couple of years, but I pay that with a smile, because I do not have to look over my shoulder to see when the tax man will knock on my door.

Pay your taxes and sleep like a baby every night!

Re: My do's and don't's way of acquiring BTC
by

I think the best thing I did when I first learned about Bitcoin, was to take up a second job to fund my Bitcoin purchases. The income from that second job was not something significant, but it was enough to kickstart my Bitcoin journey.

That small amount grew into something very significant in about 8 years, with the increase in the value of those coins. We are talking about 800%+ during that period, something I would have never been able to do with any other investment option.

Do something extra, because that little bit of effort will reward you in the future.  Wink

Re: [2024-09-05] Bitcoin Halving Events No Longer Drive BTC Price, Report Says
by
Kakmakr
on 10/09/2024, 12:48:11 UTC
I have been saying this for years... you have to look at the bigger picture when you analyze the full impact of the price.. before and after the Halving. What other significant events happened before or after the Halving... that also impacted the price during that period.

Most Bitcoin traders and hoarders also know that the impact of the Halving are priced into it, way before the actual event happens, because the media hype will start weeks in advance.

Also, whatever impact it has.... was watered down by the many times it happened before... so people do not react to it as much, as they did with the early Halving events we had in the early days.  Tongue

Re: The Future of Bitcoin as Digital Gold
by
Kakmakr
on 10/09/2024, 12:39:53 UTC
I think the only reason why some people call Bitcoin, digital Gold... is because it was designed to act as a store of value, not because it is actually a store of value. (timing will more or less determine, if it was a store of value for the seller)

Yes, it is virtually mined like Gold and the software emulate scarcity with the Block reward that are halved... but it does not guarantee a constant increase in the value.... as we saw with loads of previous dumps that crashed the price.  Tongue Roll Eyes

Re: Bonus that accept wager only in slot game is BS
by

Casino money are never for FREE, it always come with some kind of wagering requirement and they know most people will simply use that to gamble more, so they get it all back in the end.

Yes, the "Slot pick" requirement is unfair and I would avoid playing those Slot, because you will lose more than what you are gaining from the bonus.

In the end, I use the casino money to wager up.... not to waste on Slots with a shitty RTP or Variance.  Cool

A little story from my part that happened to me some weeks ago.
As you know stake is sending you a birthday mail ( if you did KYC level 2 ) with mostly a bonus of around 25$. So my birthday came around and I expected the same.
Once my VIP host came online she sent me a message with birthday wished and told me she sent a "little something" to my vault. When I checked it was a whopping 200$, nice right? I thought that would be it of course.
So after some hours I suddenly also got the official birthday email with yet another bonus, I thought that's the 25$ of course.
When I opened the link it was another 100$, which was more than surprising!!

Didn't expect to get as much as 300$ that day, maybe it's because I am platinum 6 now which is of course a quite decent VIP level. Anyway, for anybody that has a host, maybe it's worth asking when it's your birthday.
Ah and another thing, when it's your stake birthday (the day you opened your account) also shoot your host a message, they most likely have a bonus for you. Last year I got like 150$.  Grin

Great Story, but I honestly feel this should be automated and you do not need to ask for this. Yes, it is nice to have some interaction from your VIP host, but they are so busy.... it can sometimes be a hit or miss, if you get it or not.

In any way, I will make certain I am online when I am supposed to get this bonus... in order to check if I got it or not. I hope you bought something cool with it.. and it did not just go back to Stake.  Cheesy

So you want "lazy" people to profit from the hard work that "hard working" people have done. Anyone can acquire new skills if you are willing to "learn" new things. I have taught myself a lot of new skills, by simply using the Internet and my phone.... "Google and Youtube are your mentor"

You do not need formal education and higher learning to achieve most new skills in life, you only need the drive to search for that information and finding all the tools that are out there for free.

Once you acquired the "basic" knowledge, you can execute those tasks and build from there. Example : Search on Youtube... on how to fix a specific car engine and then learn the basics, then start working part-time for a workshop.... and build from there, until you get enough money to pay for some formal qualifications.... and this applies to many other jobs out there. (before you know it, you own your own workshop or you work for some huge car dealership)  Smiley

I think your method might be flawed.... knowing about Bitcoin and buying it even if you know about it.... are no guarantee for it's future growth potential.

A lot of people might know about Bitcoin, but they only listen to the negative things they hear about it. (The media and the movie industry will often link Bitcoin to the worst things you can think of, like drugs and money laundering and sex trafficking and terrorism funding.)

We need people to educate other people about the "good" and "positive" things that can be done with this technology and those things that are done, that are not publicized in mass media.  Roll Eyes

The latest reason stated for the price dump, seems to be the USA job creation statistics, but I highly doubt that it can have such a significant impact on the price.  Roll Eyes

If "Fear" of a economic downward in the US are driving this, then it says little about Bitcoin being perceived as a Store of Value during periods of economic uncertainty.  Sad

Re: If you're into boxing betting, would you bet on Mike Tyson or Jake Paul?
by
Kakmakr
on 03/09/2024, 06:33:38 UTC
A exhibition match is just for show and it can be very manipulated. You can find that Mike Tyson might win with some controversy and then Jake Paul might challenge him with a second fight, just to milk the ticket sales and the advertisement income from these fights.

In the process both fights are hyped and both fighters are making a shitload of money from these fights.... all for show and entertainment and not as a real competitive fight.  Roll Eyes

I will not put money on any exhibition matches, where the outcome are probably determined before the event.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yea, I agree with you.. the blatant aggressive attitude against you, to try and prevent you to turn to social media for assistance, are unacceptable, if they are not to be blamed. They should have been more professional in this regard and done proper research and still be professional in their comments. (You do not go into attack mode and threaten customers, when you have to support them)

We should also understand that casinos have to deal with a lot of scammers and people trying to "cheat" the system, so they might be irritated with some customers, when they are pushing too hard. (Give them enough time to deal with your issues, before you turn to social media platforms)  Wink

Re: The continuing decline of China's economy - what are the implications ?
by

on 03/09/2024, 06:05:54 UTC
The problem with China are all the misinformation that are spread, because the Chinese government are not very transparent, when it comes to the distribution of information.  Roll Eyes

A lot of independent economists are making their own predictions and analysis, based on the little amount of information that are available. We know China are hiding a much bigger problem, but we do not know how bad it is, so we will probably only know when the sh1t hits the fan... and then it will be too late, because this will have a huge ripple affect all over the world. with China being one of the biggest economies on this planet.  Roll Eyes

Re: Can Bitcoin be used as proof of funds during visa application in your country?
by
Kakmakr
on 03/09/2024, 05:55:29 UTC
No, I can understand why the embassy do not want to accept that as a proof of funds, because anyone can bring a wallet a show a balance and then transfer those funds back to their friends after they received approval for their VISA application.

The Banking industry are very regulated and a credit card application goes through a lot of "red tape" to be approved, so they trust that process and also the credit it provides.

Bitcoin for the most part are still very unregulated, so governments do not trust it..... yet. Wink

I think your service are automatically raising suspicion with the moderators, because there are so many of these services that are a scam. They promise to "brute force" the password and they ask for some "startup" fee to do this and then you never hear from them again.

Most of the "legit" operators have built a reputation over many years, by charging ZERO fees at the start of their business and then gaining a good reputation and some valid reviews from the people they helped.

Good luck, you are entering a scene with a very bad reputation.... and you will have to piss against a rock for years to get through to people.  Roll Eyes

Re: My business method how i make money i borrow and lend money
by
Kakmakr
on 02/09/2024, 06:09:33 UTC
This strategy will work, if the Crypto prices goes up and you are able to pay the 10% interest on the loan, but what happens when the Crypto price drop? Well, I have seen many people doing this and FAIL miserably, because the Crypto price dropped significantly and they had to pay off this debt, from their own money.

A lot of them had to sell at a loss to enable them to pay the monthly interest that had to be paid and that ruined them financially. The people that has been in this scene for a long time, will always tell you NEVER to buy Crypto with debt. The people telling other people to do this are probably scammers and someone with a hidden agenda. (price pumpers)  Tongue

Re: What do you need to show for KYC level 2, KYC level 3 for casino's?
by
Kakmakr
on 02/09/2024, 06:00:33 UTC
Level 2 are a lot less complicated that Level 3. It is easier for casinos to verify the legitimacy of ID documents for level 2, than having to validate the authenticity of documents that are needed for Level 3.

You have to remember that these source of income documents are provided in different languages and that they need specialists third party companies that are efficient in those languages to verify these documents, so it will take a lot longer to authenticate these documents.

Good luck, if you source documents are not in English!  Tongue
