What is Merit?

Merit is a new system created in order to reward quality contributions to the forum. Now to rise through ranks you will also need to acquire Merit in addition to Activity.

How do I receive merit?

You are awarded merit by people of the community if they find your post helpful or informative.

How do I send Merit?

There is a +Merit button at the top right of every post. To give merit click on it and follow the instructions.

What is the difference between Merit and sMerit?

There are two types of Merit. You cannot send your merits, just sMerit. For every Merit you receive you will have 0.5 spendable merit to reward posts as you see fit.

Can I ask for merit?

There is no need to do this and this behaviour is usually seen as 'merit begging' which is frowned upon by the community and may lead to you receiving negative feedback. Keep making quality, constructive posts and you will surely be rewarded over time.

Can I sell merit?

Selling merit is disallowed.

Can I give merit to my alt accounts?

No, this is frowned upon and will almost certainly lead to you receiving negative feedback if discovered.

Can I be demerited or lose merit?

No, not currently. Even if your post is removed the merit will still stay.

What is a merit source?

There are a certain number of special Merit sources who receive additional amounts of merit to give away. The list is not publicly available but is know to Staff.

How do I become a merit source?

As per theymos' instructions:

no i dont think price will rise in august Because the price of bitcoin is still low and the market has not recovered yet .

Yes it can but no one knows when, i do not believe that the bitcoin price will recover in short term and we need large time to hit this price again .

i think evry think are possible in crypto world , eth is more of a general purpose blockchain on which multiple applications can be built , but bitcoin is just a cryptocurrency so it can pass btc but this need a long time .

 

no i dont think minexcoin will hit more than x2 profit , do you know how much the price of 1 MNX in token sale ?
its 1MNX=0.002BTC this project is in loss  right now .

first of all i do a research about solid coins, see which cois have more potential to grow, who are the competitors, is the tech can survive, how is the dev community, etc.

Day trading is a full time job, but it can be good to move some of your portfolio around at opportune times. all you need is analyse the market daily.

yes i think this year will be the year of cryptocurrencies ... I think that the bitcoin will reach more than $ 30k  by the end of the year.

Since bitcoin’s value is growing larger a bunch of traders have proposed people start using mBTC denominations. One mBTC, otherwise known as a millibitcoinu or 0.001BTC.

No one can tell for sure what is the future of dogecoin but i do not think this coin has any future , there are much better project now in market So go for that.

i prefer to do both of trading and online shop , because you need to get profit from exchange/trading  and used it for marketplace/online shop .

i think you trade to get udst profit with this way , I don't keep my trading capital in BTC, and I don't trade to earn more BTC. I trade to earn more USD.

I don't change bitcoin into fiat to spend it, i am hold it for a long time , maybe i sell half after 5 years, when the price of 1 btc hit 100k

for me i think ethereum is the best investment you can make right now. The demand for Ethereum is too high and it is the best cryptocurrency to trade with.
