Re: Bitcoin is following the same path of 2017
by

That's quite true though when we have seen the price of bitcoin gone so down that people would think it's never going to rise anymore and then boom we are hitting $19500. This was the trend that happened back within 2014-2017. I predict that we could also see such a trend from the period of 2018-2020 so it is likely possible to see the market fully at an all time high in the year 2020.

Re: Is Lightning going to ensure Bitcoin dominance?
by

Actually lightning technology has improved the transaction speed of bitcoin and hope to see far more developments to see a much more higher speed than present. Bitcoin will surely dominate but that is far fetch from now. We can only hope that in future if bitcoin is accepted by many countries lightning technology would have advanced to speed bitcoin transactions.

These days it's better to waste an hour or two performing airdrop tasks than to follow some bounty campaigns for like 3 months and still not get paid. The sad thing is that a thousands of airdrop circulate around the day and how do you really know this is going to generate some profit lol.

Re: What kind of Altcoin can buy now?

we can keep on giving you several lists of tokens that might have made people millions of monies but if you don't really play your cards well in this volatile crypto market you will surely lose pal. Currently, i would advise you invest into upcoming and solid projects such as Veil coin, Tele tokens etc. These are cheap currently but come to think of it, how many ethereum or bitcoin can you buy and wait for bitcoin to reach like $30k before you make a $500,lol that would take years and may even not happen. Invest when they are young and wait for profits when they hit the mainstream.

You are very right about the significant growth of cryptocurrencies and the use of bitcoin in trading. However i am sorry to say that yeah, your fears are actually through in some countries you know. In my country some people still think bitcoin is scam and the whole crypto community is full of fraudsters lol. Anyway it would take quite a long time for cryptocurrencies to gain a global adoption but it would surely come to pass someday.

Re: Stop badmouthing new projects

Nobody is speaking against new ICOs for absolutely no reason you but i believe most investors in here have really had it to the peak with all these scam ICOs. But i think the team members behind any project actually come out with something realistic upon which they can seek the assistance of investors. For such projects i would invest and not just any empty ideas without products.

Re: Patience & endurance

Cryptocurrency investements are basically new start ups and initiatives which mostly take time before bringing real value to its investors but mostly investors are in  haste to make profits out of their investments. When this does not happen they get impatient and sell of their holdings as soon as possible and that is the mistake they always make when especially the project becomes of a great value in the future.
Have some patience people if you are into cryptocurrency investments.

Re: Is Binance Chain a treat to Ethereum?
by

I don't know exactly why most people are actually making a fuss over Binance blockchain which is going to support decentralized exchanges. Well I think this initiative by CZ is still to promote Centralization and i don't think any crypto enthusiasts would want to buy into such an idea. So yeah it's from Binance, one of the popular cryptocurrency exchanges in the world but i doubt this idea of theirs would be able to sell off. Let's see as Ethereum blockchain comes out with strong next year with major updates.

Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto?
by

on 22/04/2019, 22:09:32 UTC
Well the vision is to see cryptocurrencies being used globally as  medium of payment but i don't think Africa has the systems in place as at now to enhance the use of cryptocurrencies especially in countries that are in the West of Africa. South Africa is doing very well in the adoption of cryptocurrencies but in general let's give ourselves like the next 5 years to actually see the full adoption of cryptocurrencies in Africa.

Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019?
by

It's very worth it to invest into bitcoin especially at this reduced price so that you can buy it and hold it for a long time. Investing into bticoin is risky but if you have followed the trend of bitcoin's price volatility you would always know there is surely going to be  a rise in its price and that's where you would make profit as an investor.

Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency?
by
Kelvinikke
on 21/04/2019, 19:51:26 UTC
Getting people to use bitcoins depends on crypto enthusiasts and how we advocate the easy, secured and fast making transactions with cryptocurrencies are. But what i see most  crypto enthusiasts actually doing is holding their bitcoins as asset and cashing out into fiat currency. The only way we can get to use bitcoin as a currency is first of all we developing the attitude of spending it and also and also we having marketplaces which accept bitcoin as payment for goods.

Re: All you can do is hold your ALTs for a few years
by
Kelvinikke
on 21/04/2019, 19:44:41 UTC
If there is no product driving the liquidity of altcoin i would not hold it because most altcoins are actually full of pumps and dumps. Most altcoins are now worth nothing and they are being delisted from exchanges from time to time. So sell any altcoin which has no solid project backing it and hold only the ones that has some product developed by the team to stabilize the token.

Binance blockchain is actually not a threat if you ask me because in as much as they are creating a blockchain network which other decentralized exchanges can operate on their blockchain lack the use of smart contract hence not a full decentralized exchange as we all wish to see happen. Don't forget people with major blockchain updates by the Ethereum Network i know Ethereum will still stand tall amidst these threats from Binance. DEXs are the future of exchanges and Binance is surely not giving that so how can they overthrow Ethereum

Re: How do you determine potentiality of any Altcoins?
by
Kelvinikke
on 20/04/2019, 09:15:27 UTC
Things that i consider before investing into any proeject is the attitude of the team members with regards to their project and how communicative they are with their community. I also consider their use case and how relevant it is because i don't think every development has to have some tokens. I also look at their partners in the develoopment of the project before investing and also the credible team members behind the project. Other than that i don't invest at all.

Re: Bitcoin transactions aren't reversible... I'm confuse
by

Such a transaction is very possible mate and this should not be something confusing at all. If this was not possible then how possibly can we introduce bitcoin as a currency to be used by people, because at a point in time some addresses you sent money to would also have to send you money.

Re: Is crypto Currrencies failed to solve the Problem??
by
Kelvinikke
on 19/04/2019, 01:21:50 UTC
Well i really share your frustration because so many ICOs have come up with their own utility tokens promising to solve a particular problem but they have not because most of them actually had no use case but only to make some money out of the cryptospace and leave when ICO market as on the rise of 2017. Well i know of a few project that have products already operating in the cryptospace and i think it's worth investing into these cryptocurrencies. Follow this project https://miracletele.com and do your own research about it and i bet you would not regret it.

The increase in the price of Bitcoin brings about a rise in some altcoins as well and i think Binance Coin is one of the altcoins worth investing into at the moment. The price might look crazy to buy in at this time but trust me you would regret in the next ten years to come. Probably it might hit over $100 in future. I am thinking of investing into this coin and hold it for like a year or two.

Re: Are altcoins useless?
by
Kelvinikke
on 17/04/2019, 15:03:43 UTC
Well  most altcoins that have been generated into the crypto kingdom are actually worthless now because most of them had no substantive use case which could be adapted into the real world where people would actually use their products to keep the value of their utility token regulated so that they don't get dumped when listed on exchanges.

Re: How Many Years on Bitcointalk? Take the Poll!
by
Kelvinikke
on 16/04/2019, 05:55:34 UTC
It's so interesting reading the stories of some of the legends in here but i actually came into the cryptospace about a year ago due to the influence of a friend of mine on campus when we were in the university. The funny thing is that i could have been introduced into this space way back in 2014 but i was not a believer of stuffs like this so i ignored my friend's advice to get into crypto activities.

Well i finally came and i am really loving it in here! the knowledge the opportunity to meet and talk to people all over the world about crypto. It's a beautiful thing that Satoshi left with us and i am glad to be part of this family Smiley
