I dont know about 1$ by then but it could be possible.

I have my eyes on librex and stealthcoin as those have the most potential in the next 2-4 months.

Here's to hoping.

True:  The next 2-4 months are absolutely critical.  Anything can happen in that amount of time.  Barring some kind of general Goxpocalypse Librexcoin is right on track.

All aboard for the Lunar Express!

This coin is really impressive.  A great community and value oriented Devs are makes this the coin to buy and hold.

By New Years I'm sure we'll be measuring this coin in dollars.  $1, 2$, $5, $10 ....  Those are the milestones I'm really excited about   Cool

By the looks of this thread, there is not much interest in this coin..also bittrex has a delisting warning up on this... is it dead ?

GDN is far from dead.... Some more community involvement would be great to keep GDN moving along while we work on developments.

Our current projects are taking a little longer than anticipated to complete but there will be some big announcements coming soon.

Ask not what the Dev team can do for you but what you can do for the Devs.  Grin

In seriousness, did you have anything in mind? Maybe we can get a brainstorm going.  What can we do for GDN?

Looking forward to your announcements also.  Any hints?

Thanks for the down market.  I'm in!

Good to see some familiar names too.  This thread is pretty funny if you go back and read it.

Any Future in this coin?

Lof of stuff coming. If you knew what I know, you would be laughing of people trying to attack XLB too.

I'm not interested in over hype things and pump & dumps like other coins are, so you probablly will see the results in less than 2 months.

If there are so many things coming and if you are serious about this coin, why don't you "share" some of these "great" things with the people that are interested in this coin.

How I see it now is that you left your coin to die. Then there where some people that didn't want it to die and they realised some things with there own money....now after 2 months, you start to appear again, attacking the people that at least tried to let the coin continue, by copying their wallet and anounce it on the OP page.

Because all of this, I don't believe that you have good intentions. The worst thing is that you don't allow the people with good intentions to rescue this coin.

OliverHardy

I have never seen a coin die. I compiled Tenebrix the other day and it is still functioning.

I will share the stuff when it is completed. I find pathetic announcing projects to hype the price. This forum is not important at all for the future of Libertycoin. This forum is plagued with poor people trying to make a quick buck, pump and dumpers, and so on.

"now after 2 months, you start to appear again" I have been here since the begining and I'm never gone for more than 3 days.

"by copying their wallet and anounce it on the OP page." I released that wallet on June 4th (a month ago), so unless you have invented time traveling I couldn't have copied them.

"Because all of this, I don't believe that you have good intentions." That's because you have a lot of common sense and you prefer to trust on a shady guy with no education (I can tell by the way he writes), before trusting a guy who fully disclosed his real name and identity.

I don't think you are even aware of yourself.  "This forum is plagued with poor people..."  What kind person talks like that?   Do they teach you about Liberty in your country?  Do you understand what it means?  Poor people are just people who are getting richer all the time, maybe richer than you someday.  Will you become their sheep and do their bidding then?

Then you say "you prefer to trust on a shady guy with no education (I can tell by the way he writes)".   Shocked There are grammar mistakes within that very statement.  You spelled beginning wrong.  You spelled announce wrong.  You don't even have to be any good at spelling because machines do all the spelling for you.  Never mind all the other bad grammar.  It's ridiculous.

Templar77/Libertycoin, you need to stop talking.  You can delete all of our posts but how are you going to know which of YOUR posts to delete?  You should not be talking to the community at all.  Maybe you have some skills at something I can't see but please for your sake and coin:  Just stop; Just go away.  You do not belong as lead dev or whatever you called it.  You do not add to the coin.  You take away from it.

So good.

Liberty.  That is what this coin is about.  Look at what a stupid Doge can do (no offence, I like Doge, such positive).  An internet meme can compete with Bitcoin itself.  Amazing really.

People have and will give their lives, fortunes and sacred honour for the right to Liberty.  Libertycoin can be our declaration of financial independence.

A little update:

1.) Bitsta has reported good progress on wallet and ano feature. On track for tuesday.

2.) I've made arrangements with an Android wallet dev and am finishing up the details with him to make a Libertycoin Android wallet.

3.) I've contacted the the support person at coinpayments.net and have Libertycoin on the list of coins for consideration to add on their platform. Still discussing ways to get this done sooner with them.

4.) I've have talked (still talking too) with the developer for the multi-coin tipping ap for Facebook regarding Libertycoin as an added coin for that app. It may be added by the end of the month.

5.) Polzki has offered to webmaster and will begin work on a new Libertycoin website. He starts on it on Monday.

Items 2, 3, and 4 are all part of the plan to get Libertycoin a real life use as a full purpose as a currency.  Those items and adding merchants to accept Libertycoin as a payment will facilitate the coins use as a currency. It is a main goal.

Adding value added features to Libertycoin and its wallet is also a main goal. Things like the coinmixer, sms in wallet, exchange in wallet, higher pos payout %, New Libertycoin website and other things are those kind of things.

Progress!  This is what I like to see.  Well done.

I have to say that the 'exchange in wallet' is pretty interesting.  We have to keep the thing open for POS anyway why not make it something to play with in the meantime?  Why can't the wallet be more than a wallet?  Could I browse crypto news?  Could I buy ad space (wtih Libertycoin) specifically targeted to Libertycoin stakers and have it show up on their wallet?  Can I chat with other XLB Stakers?  Just thinking out loud here.  Innovations that are specific to XLB and no place else are going to be what grabs the headlines.

"Transaction Too Large"  What is that?  Why does the wallet make me move small amounts of DTC?  Transactions costs also seem high and they get higher.

I'm seeing some positive changes.  That's good.  Really good.

Try harder not to engage.  The threat of being ignored enrages trolls.  Do not call them trolls.  Do not recognize or acknowledge them in any way.  Pretend they do not exist and eventually they will not.

Lets say troll A stops talking to the leadership entirely (because it's no fun) and just insists on engaging with the other Egos who can't help themselves.  They will go back and forth until they are exhausted and bitter.  They will become very troll-like themselves and be hostile and short-tempered (a path you might already find sympathetic).   This is why you must always be the grown-up professionals.

I recommend using a press release type format to dispel rumours.  That way you do not acknowledge or engage with enemies who feed on that.  You just make a public service announcement to anyone who might care.  This stuff is incredibly small potatoes  Seriously.  Look at this press release for a corporation that lost billions, lost lives, and lost enormous amounts of their product in the ocean.   http://www.bp.com/en/global/corporate/gulf-of-mexico-restoration/deepwater-horizon-accident-and-response.html

Do you see them getting all dramatic, having public meltdowns and pointing fingers?  That might all be there underneath, but for the confidence of the public and the authorities you must at least appear professional.

Example:

Troll B thinks up a particularly insidious lie.  It doesn't matter what, only that it gains traction with the hot heads he has been fighting with for X amount of time.

Do not directly engage.  Do not mention this Troll B person.  Do not mention unrelated or past issues. Do this:

Hello,

In regards to the false information that is currently circulating, we'd like to take a moment to clarify a few things:
  • X is completely false
  • Y is the actual situation
  • Z is the action being taken

We understand how important this is to the community and deeply regret any confusion this has caused.

Thank You

Libertycoin Team

Try not to copy that verbatim.  Remember you are not doing it for the sake of Troll B but for the people who he might have upset.  Always you should be calm and in control and a statement like that can help.

Are there any adults in here?

Sure you've got troll problems, but what trolls love, LOVE, most is getting attention.  Starve them of their fun and they will find someone more fun than you eventually.

I no longer read anything by anyone named Barabbas.  Barabbas was the murderer freed by the demands of a paid mob.  Odd choice of name isn't it?  Makes you wonder who out there accepts Trollcoins?  He is just here out of the goodness of his heart I'm sure.  He doesn't own XLB, he just wants to save the poor bag holders from themselves.  An Altruist of the highest order.

Then you read some of his bile and wince as brain cells die.  Toxic is definitely the right word.  He even has you trolling each other.  Mission accomplished.  Please.  All of you.  Just ignore him.  Every time you see him post just glide right over it.  Actually its pretty easy.

Once a day or once a page just post something for people who might stumble in here.  -Something businesslike.  Try:

We regret our ongoing troll infestation.

Please bear with us as we starve them of attention

Remember: DON"T FEED THE TROLLS

It's going to be hard.  Especially if someone is paying him, but eventually you'll succeed.  Just another notch on your belt.

Further, I think that the new leadership would do well to emulate a business.  That's what this is right?  Its not a club.  It's not gamer's guild.  It's a Private Anti-Central Bank.  You are here to make profit in return for services you provide.  One of those services is the coin itself of course.  Other services are less tangible but important nonetheless.

Confidence is a big one.  Do you instill confidence?  Do your actions inspire confidence?  See that they do.

Look at the professionals.  Take your inspiration from them.  This coin of yours is the stock of your company.  Are you behaving like CEOs?  CEO's get fired and companies make mistakes and get taken over.  I have no issue with that, but I don't care for anymore monkey business or drama.  Take a walk or have a smoke before you post something in anger.  I do that all the time.  It just doesn't look professional no matter how much the receiver might deserve it.

Re: [GIVEAWAY/POLL] What is your perception of Libertycoin?
by
Khazoo
on 16/06/2014, 12:08:36 UTC
Hi!  I see a lot of good advice here but I'd like to add my own:

1.- What is your perception of Libertycoin?

I think Libertycoin has great potential!  I became interested after the big blowup.  I believe in Anti-fragility.  Here is a nice coin that works well and has a great brand and it's share of challenges.  If the allegations were true the devs would be long gone.  There are plenty of coins where the team is completely awol and the coin limps along anyway.  I see a lot of effort put into expelling this drama, and the coin, devs and community are all still here.

You survived!

A scar can be seen as a disfigurement, or it can be worn with pride.  It is proof that the coin is strong.  Time to stop apologizing.  Its done.  It happened.  The coin is better for it.

2.- What do you think we can do to improve?

Liberty.  This isn't any old coin.  These are LIBERTYcoins.  Other than a good brand what makes it a Libertycoin?  Others have suggested accessing merchants so that XLB can be traded for items of physical value.  I agree, but I think you should be strategic in this.  There are many organizations that exist to promote Liberty.  Reason.com, FEE, The Bastiat Institute, The Frazer Institute, the Heartland Institute, The Objective Standard, The Atlas Society, The Center for Liberal Studies etc..  Reach out to these people.  Some of them are charities who's mission is to support and spread Liberty. Many of them have publications like books and magazines for sale and probably pens, mugs, T-shirts, posters and whatever else for sale.  Start with them.  Help each other.  The people who support those charities and read those magazines very likely have businesses of their own who just might sign on and accept Libertycoins in the name of liberty.
