Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding
by
Kingbtc2
on 24/02/2024, 20:07:55 UTC

Now another big opportunity is going to come in front of us. When the price of Bitcoin will increase much more than that. So I would say, those who haven't invested in Bitcoin yet, make a final decision to invest in Bitcoin for lone time Holding now and hold until the next ATH. You invest in Bitcoin and keep your Bitcoin holdings safe, because the next bull market is going to have the power to change your life. So just Hold bitcoin for long time.
Thanks for this information because it's the best decision that anybody that is hodling Bitcoin can take, unlike some altcoins that are  not reputable to hold on the long term, Bitcoin is better if held on the long term because it's price can pump and dump on the short term, after some time the price will pump far more than it can dump, so if the holder did not sale during the short term of price fluctuations, he will gain far more when price increases and reaches ATH in the long run. As bull run is nearing it is still a good time to continue hodling because price will keep increasing on the long run till it reaches the destination of ATH, then a holder can sale some and make many times profit on investment.

So far we are entering bull run, it's never too late to buy Bitcoin now, the price will keep pumping till it reaches it's ATH, so any wise investor can still get a ticket and hop on the train to bull run. Despite what price is now, we are still looking at it to double it's price to reach $100,000 within a year from now, so don't miss the opportunity to buy now and make plenty profit on top of your capital, before the bull run will finish and we start to enter bear season. Do the right thing now and start to buy Bitcoin, it can be the best investment decision that you will make this year.

It's truly remarkable how this forum has been of help to me, I can remember a time I couldn't use a simple metamusk wallet installed on my device 😀, it was so hard to understand many things like layer 2, I would be like what is a layer 2, but now I can proudly talk about bitcoin in public even giving solutions to people's problems and explaining some things I've learned, I mostly appreciate our seniors for helping out in our times of need.
I'm really thankful beign a part of this forum and I think everyone one has that time in their bitcoin Journey where they didn't know shit and had to ask some questions on this forum. Share your experience with us.

This forum has contributed immensely to my Bitcoin knowledge, everyday that I brows through the forum there is always something new or something interesting to engage in Bitcoin enlightening discussions, so it's a wonderful place of learning for newbies and a place for refreshments of ideas where every member adds to their experience everyday. I've learnt quite a number of things in this forum, the most important being that if it's not your keys then it's not your coin, meaning that we should avoid leaving our coins in a n exchange, instead it should be in our none custodial wallets, where we have the sole ownership to it.

Re: Newbies how do you feel when your post is criticised.
by
Kingbtc2
on 24/01/2024, 15:40:05 UTC
Before starting this topic so many things have been on my mind because I know how it pains for someone to criticise a write up or a post.

In a forum like this where so many intellects are contributing to a particular discussion there is always a room for criticism and the ability for you as newbie to absorb it as a learning process makes you unique and smart . For me Criticism is a process of learning because when ever I am been criticised I usually seize the opportunity to add more knowledge because I often see it as a corrective measures to widen my horizon .

Additionally, I will sincerely advice all the newbies who are quick to anger or discouraged when their post are been criticised to see it as a means of learning and not to react rudely because mistake brings correction .
Anybody that wants to make progress must know how to take criticism, learn from it and become better, the experienced member that a newbie is learning from has already acquired their own knowledge, so for a beginner to learn from them, the learner must develop a thick skin to accept criticism. Some people might unreasonably criticize a newbie, and instead of him to be reactive and go into unnecessary arguments, the best is to ignore such attacks and move on. Although it can be frustrating for a newbie, after putting in efforts to construct a post according to his level of knowledge, after all the efforts, the post is criticized or told outrightly that it is a shitpost, because it lacks the forum's quality standard, it is still to accept it and improve on areas that needs to be improved on. Nothing good comes easy, so a learner must accept criticism.

Re: We fit create means to educate our country men
by

on 19/01/2024, 20:38:26 UTC
Actually no be bad idea to start to accept Bitcoin for business transactions, because that na the main reason why satoshi Nakamoto create am. To  be used for P2P transactions, meaning majority of the time na business related stuff naim dey influence em transactions. It was created to be used as normal money but I the form of digital currency. However na because of the volatility naim make we come dey see am as an asset for investment. And that na the main reason why some persons don dey hide the ones wey Dem get, allowing just small amount to be used for transactions purpose. Anyway in consequent time, I believe say e go become very hard for Bitcoin to even dey fly around anyhow because of the value, and people no go like to wan dey trade again, Bitcoin go scarce.

But the only problem I see, when using Bitcoin as a p2p transaction channel, is the mempool congestion that we are experiencing now, that result to high transaction fee, and delay in transaction confirmation which is not good for business purposes.
Accepting Bitcoin as payment for goods and services is good because it is the main purpose of creating it by Satoshi Nakamoto, to be used as a p2p transactions, so if OP decides to be accepting it as an alternative payment in his business, then it will be good for the adoption of Bitcoin, because some people will know it through him. But the main concern is the transaction fees which is still high now because of the mempool congestion, if he wants to adjust the fees then it can take days before the transaction is confirmed, other alternative means like lightening networks and using usdt might not be convenient for every customer, especially those who are not very knowledgeable about cryptocurrency. He can still go ahead to advertise that he collects Bitcoin, any customer that has a Bitcoin wallet can choose to make payment with it, and they will reach an agreement about the payment of the high transaction fee.

Re: A thread for asking and explanation of terms in bitcoin you don't understand.

on 19/01/2024, 07:24:06 UTC
This kind of threads have been created multiple times and I was one of the people who thought it never existed so I created almost same thread as yours.

Here is a list of threads that has been in existence I this forum that discusses Bitcoin and cryptocurrency terminologies.

Note: this list was compiled by symmetric formally know as Ratimov

Another thing you should start considering is know how to make good use of search engines. Here is a list of threads where you can learn about search buttons.

Thanks for this list, a complete encyclopedia, so any newbie can choose to click any of the links and immerse themselves in learning about the terminologies of cryptocurrency, it is not easy to understand everything at once, it is to take the learning one step at a time. The study and understanding of Bitcoin and everything that concerns cryptocurrency is a very big task because it is very vast, but newbies should not be discouraged because the experienced and knowledgeable members were once newbies in cryptocurrency. Another reason why it is important to continuously be researching about the crypto space is because there is too much scams in it, someone can easily be scammed in any areas of ignorance, so learning and researching should be a continuous process in the crypto space.

Re: Why people dey fear to invest in Bitcoin and crypto?
by

on 18/01/2024, 08:12:06 UTC
Many people just get this belief say since nah wetin concern internet them no fit do anything called investment, unknowing to them that is the best place to invest on.
Even my uncle's saw it as a scamming thing, but they never knew it's the best place you can save any amount of your income in life.
And still have access to your money at anytime you need  access to your investment. You all should invest online and see how your life will change for good.
We cannot really blame anyone that thinks that crypto business is scam because in reality there are lots of scams and hacks in crypto, because if you go to YouTube, telegram, Facebook and other social media sites, you will see them advertising a lot of scam projects and a newbie without experience will invest their money in them, when they're scammed they will label Bitcoin as scam. This is why it is very important to get the right knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies before investing money, everybody must carry out research before investing so that they will not be victims of scammers.

People need the right source to get information about cryptocurrency be they invest their money if not they will keep being victims of scammers, somebody you don't know on YouTube or telegram will tell you about a project and without researching if you pay them money or give personal details of your wallet and get scammed, then it will be easy to blame it on cryptocurrency. I always tell people to research and ask questions before paying for anything online.

Re: Crypto: a place where everyone makes money, but few secure it
by

on 17/01/2024, 07:55:28 UTC
Experience without financial learning leads to huge losses. and I consider this also a reality, sometimes it tastes bitter and sweet. However, from what you wrote above, at least you need to have a good understanding of finances. As you said, it is recognized that the crypto space produces various characters and typicalities where we see many who achieve great success easily but still continue to fall into financial failure due to lack of knowledge.
Infact after aquiring wealth the person must have an understanding of financial education because getting money is one thing and managing the money is another area that is very important, otherwise the wealth will start to diminish until nothing will remain. Some people will sale their Bitcoin that they've been hodling for year in a bull run season, after cashing in on returns on years of investment, if they don't have a solid plan on what to do with all that money, they can spend it all on luxury items and partying, in the end if there's nothing else to fall back on financially they'll become poor. With financial education, the person will decide the percentage to use for enjoyment and luxury, then the rest has to be reinvested, so that the returns on investment will continue.

This forum has been a big help to me about in terms of a better understanding of cryptocurrency, exchanges and wallets, coming into the forum everyday and learning new things is something that I look forward to, and the willingness of experienced members to direct newbies in any areas that they need guidance about crypto is very good, I appreciate them very much. One word of advice that I hear everyday in the forum is 'research', because of the many scams that are in the crypto space, experienced members always talks about carrying out your own research before buying anything that involves money in cryptocurrency, because there are many scam projects in the social media. Also not to leave your coins in a centralized exchange, because if it's not your key it is not your coin, it is good to put your crypto coins in a none custodial wallet.

Re: Don't trust social media
by
Kingbtc2
on 15/01/2024, 12:06:34 UTC
It is crazy that scammers are going to make you feel regret that you don't trust them and you're the one that should trust them first instead of your trusting yourself. That's why it's true that you need to pay attention to these type of posts on social media and usually, these scammers are targeting the newbies because they don't know a lot of how to setup their wallets as if that it's the hardest thing to do at all. No it's not, but I hope that this thread gets to some newbies that probably might have seen that type of post.
Scammers will wickedly capitalize on their victims emotions by making them feel regret of not trusting them, by that the victims will not listen to the reasoning voice inside them that is doubting the scammers. I have learnt one thing repeatedly on this forum that most investments opportunities on social media are scams, also that we should carry out research about them to know if they are scammers because that is what most of them are. I see many of them on my telegram and due to my knowledge I always ignore them, I don't even click any link that I'm not sure of the source because they can lead to phishing sites, unfortunately social media has become a business place for scammers, everybody must beware.

Re: Is cyber crime the last resort of the struggling Nigerians
by
Kingbtc2
on 15/01/2024, 08:41:00 UTC
I was going through the social media and came across this news about the Economic and Financial Crime Commission Chairman, Olukoyede saying that 7 out of 10 Nigerian students are involved in cyber crime. This is not something to be proud of because it means that 70% of Nigerian students are into cyber crime which I think it is not true entirely when deeper analysis is done about it.

We know that the rate of cyber crime within Nigerians and especially student is increasing but I don’t think it has gotten to that level that he said already. We know this moment are hard times and the economy is not friendly to everyone. Settling for cyber fraud shouldn’t be the last resort for any Nigerian. How can this be averted in the country and what are the possible solutions to stop students from involving in such criminal activities.

https://www.instagram.com/p/C0gaCP0s5MJ/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

I think that it is very unfair for the EFCC chairman to say that 70% of Nigerian, students are into cyber crime, I doubt that he carried out his research very well. We have a lot of hard working Nigerian students both acedemicaly and supporting themselves through school, every student that works on the internet is not a fraudster. Besides Nigeria, has millions of citizens and it is a very few minority that are into cyber crime and they are ternishing the image of the majority that are working hard and smart for their money. Let the Nigerian government prosecute and let cyber criminals face the full weight of the law, so that others coming behind them will see the fate that awaits them if they don't stop. As far as cyber crime is concerned it is a global phenomenal, it not only in Nigeria, but every part of the world.

Re: Crypto scams flourish most during bull runs.
by
Kingbtc2
on 14/01/2024, 11:36:24 UTC
I think it doesn't matter if we are in a bull run or bearish trend, scammers will be scammers. Although it is just magnified in the bull run as there are a lot of newbie investors and this is the target of this cyber criminals and scammers.

So it's very important and I think this is the number 1 thing that every crypto investors need, educate themselves on every project that they put their hard earn money. And as we have said before, “If it is too good to be true it probably is". Meaning, if the offer appear too ideal or promising, it's wise to approach them with a degree of skepticism and investigate further.
Although this will be my first bull run experience and I know that because Bitcoin will be very profitable in this season, many newbies will want to be part of the profit experience so they will be looking out for any advice and opportunities to buy Bitcoin and be part of the bull run profit. Scammers will also increase their activities to scam as many of them. This forum is good for everyone who wants to be a Bitcoin investor or trader so that they will increase their knowledge about it, we need to do our own research on every investment opportunities that we hear on social media before we can trust whether it is genuine or scam, I have come to understand that there are many scams and hacks in crypto business.

You have been accused of using AI to upgrade your posting, this is not good, they need originality in this forum. Newbies don't need to have perfect posts because we're learners in the forum. Re: How to end indecision and delay on bitcoin investment
by
Kingbtc2
on 13/01/2024, 14:01:38 UTC

9. Put into action what your mind tells you without second thought.
I think this can help us this year on Bitcoin investment , please add yours to help our growth.

Thank you for bringing all the points for people to follow so that they can not delay and have indicision before investing in Bitcoin, delay is denial so we must try and overcome anything that will make us to doubt or put aside a profitable business like Bitcoin investment. We need to build confidence and control our fear of investing in Bitcoin, because it is volatile, that is why it is good to have accurate knowledge of it to understand that if the price dips it will rise again, in the future the price will keep going higher and giving the investors more profit for their investment.

I only disagree with the number 9, you said that we should do whatever our mind tells us without second thoughts. I think that we should always think twice before taking any decisions in this life because we can sometimes make hasty decisions that we can later regret. We can be emotional or gather wrong information and our minds can take decisions based on what we feel or hear immediately that can be wrong, so we should reconsider thoughts and make reserach before taking final decisions.

There are lots of scam in the crypto space so it is very important to be very careful before putting money in any projects. I see a lot of projects and their developers give them hype to get investors, but in the end most of them will fail and people will lose their money, I think that the best thing is to research any one of them that you want to buy to find out if they are good projects or scams. That is why I love Bitcoin more than every other crypto coins in the cryptocurrency market, it is the most reputable among all of them to do investment. Some top rated altcoins are also good for investors to buy, they are reputable like Bitcoin. Ponzi schemes are very dangerous to invest money in them, they can shut down with people's money at anytime.

Re: IMPORTANT! Always check your Seed twice.
by

on 13/01/2024, 08:30:37 UTC

I wrote words in the wrong order before and at first glance it looked right.  Next time I had to restore my Seed from my paper, it said it was wrong.  I got desperate for days, until I tried to swap the word with the previous and luckily it did work for me.

Check your Seed twice.  Do not be lazy.
Thank you for this important information, it is very important to crosscheck seed phrase when we open a new wallet, if a person makes a mistake it will be very costly, you don't know when you will need to import your wallet and if there is any mistake in the spelling of even one phrase or miss the order of the phrases maybe number 1 goes to number 2, then the coins in the wallet can not be recovered again. I have heard about people who can not send their coins again because of the mistake that is associated with seed phrase, either they lost it or they did not crosscheck it very well when they opened the wallet.

Re: Bitcoin ETF will make way for altcoins ETF
by

on 12/01/2024, 16:33:55 UTC
If we look at how long e been take the SEC to approve Bitcoin spot etf in the United States, you go know say Altcoins ETF no go happen overnight, if at all e go happen. I don't think there is enough request for either Ethereum, XRP (or any other altcoin) spot etf in the United States, na just as dem approve Bitcoin spot ETF i begin see news wey dey talk say na altcoins be next.

Having said that, make we watch wetin go happen, but you know say altcoins dey more risky than Bitcoin, because many of them no get use cases, so i think the SEC go dey very reluctant to approve any altcoin ETF.
I think in that case we will have to wait till May, and see if the US SEC, will approve the Ethereum ETF, since it is still awaiting their approval. SEC might want to wait a longer time as you said to see how the 11 companies including blackrock, will perform in the Bitcoin ETF, before they can consider to approve Ethereum ETF that is next in line. I will like to see it approved for Ethereum, but it is the united states'SEC that can make it possible or not in May.

Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries,
by
Kingbtc2
on 12/01/2024, 12:08:21 UTC
I don't know if the government of any African country have adopted the system of paying salaries in Bitcoin, but I know here is Nigeria they haven't, it's possible to pay employees using Bitcoin or other crypto currencies ,
With the services of some crypto currency payroll agencies  like Bitwage, papaya global, ontop,  which will make it possible for the government to pay their workers in Bitcoin or other crypto currencies and can be sent  into their digital wallet,
Since it has to do with the government another agency can be set up in the country in respect to paying salaries as Bitcoin which will somehow help in the growth of the economy of the country.

African countries will first adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender before they can start to talk of paying their workers salaries in Bitcoin, with the adoption it will be more convenient for them to pay salaries in their local fiat currencies. Central African republic, is the only known African country that has adopted Bitcoin as a legal tender and only them can easily make that kind of decision to pay workers with Bitcoin. I believe that private companies in Africa, can decide to pay their workers with Bitcoin, so far it is not banned in that country, but many workers will prefer to be paid with their local fiat currency, so that they can easily spend it in their country. With government adoption as a legal tender it will be easy to transact Bitcoin in any country.

Bitcoin ETF will make way for altcoins ETF
by
Kingbtc2
on 12/01/2024, 10:22:10 UTC
The much talked about Bitcoin ETF has finally been approved by the united states' SEC, I know that the development will bring many people to invest in Bitcoin and it will increase the adoption of Bitcoin. Ethereum is also inline to get approval also for ETF, starting in May, this year, if there is no delay and they get it, big companies like blackrock and Invesco, are warming up for Ethereum ETF.

If Ethereum ETF is approved by the US SEC, then it can open the door for other top rated altcoins like BNB, Litecoin, and Solana, to also want to get ETF approvals. Then people can have more to choose for investment. They might become competition for Bitcoin if they get plenty investors

Do you think that this will be a good development if Bitcoin and many altcoins have ETF?

Re: The power of investment choices
by

on 12/01/2024, 07:22:26 UTC
If you ask me I will say only buy Bitcoin but I see why latecomers are attracted elsewhere, there are other cryptocurrencies with unique features & potential for large growth. Diversification is key for some people, It is advisable to research & understand the potential of different cryptocurrencies considering factors such as technology, adoption & market trends. Each cryptocurrency offers different opportunities & risks so a balanced investment strategy that includes a mix of cryptocurrencies may be more beneficial for some in the long run.
For newcomers like me into the cryptocurrency market it is good to invest in Bitcoin first because it is the most reputable and trusted among all of the rest because it is the most used and invested crypto coin. It is decentralized and over the years it has been tested and has proven to be truly the best and safest option for crypto investment. The approved Bitcoin ETF is another reason why many newbies should trust that it will be more profitable now and in the future. Newcomers should carry out proper research before buying altcoins because they are far more risky than Bitcoin in investment, that is why only Bitcoin is advisable and my preferred choice for now.
