Let Claymore make its work. just add -strap 1 -rxboost 1 and no more any flags. see examples on topic

Hello,

This will not solved my incorrect ETH shares right ?

Hello guys !

finally, I can't do it.. I'm going crazy, i'm giving up !..

Can't reach a right profil without "Incorrect ETH Shares" and same without tweak..

I don't understand how is it possible... I've got 6 Sapphire RX Vegas 64 Nitro+ and I cannot have a profil around 50-51 Mh/s without errors...

I've already try this :

Conf 1 :

GPU :

- P0 : 852 Mhz / 800 mV
- P1 : 1175 Mhz / 900 mV
- P2-7 : Disabled

Memory :

- P3 : 1100 MHz / 900 mV
- P0-2 : Disabled

-> Incorrect ETH Shares

Conf 2 BIS :

GPU :

- P0 : 852 Mhz / 800 mV
- P1 : 1075 Mhz / 850 mV
- P2-7 : Disabled

Memory :

- P3 : 1090 MHz / 900 mV
- P0-2 : Disabled

-> Incorrect ETH Shares

Conf 3 :

GPU :

STOCK

Memory :

STOCK

-> Crash then restart !

Conf 4 :

GPU :

- P0 : 852 Mhz / 800 mV
- P1-7 : Disabled

Memory :

- p3 : 1107 Mhz / 837 mV

-> Settings won't apply in Claymore (I've got 44 Mh/s)

WTF is that ? I don't understand what's wrong ...

My config file with Claymore :

Quote
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
@echo off
cd %~dp0

"EthDcrMiner64.exe" -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal my_wallet -epsw x -eworker my_name -etha -1 -erate 1 -estale 1 -mode 1 -r 0 -tt 59 -tstop 80 -showpower 1 -showdiff 0 -platform 1 -y 1 -strap 4 -dcri 1,1,1,1,1,1

If someone can help me to reach a good profil it very helpful or i'm gonna die haha Smiley

Hello pbfarmer ! Smiley

Thanks for your reply !

What kind of profil do you use in Wattman ? Smiley

Nico

I don't use Wattman (or even Windows, honestly,) but basically I lock my core state to p0 (850Mhz) by disabling all states above that, while setting my mem clock to 1107 (p3).  Then set your mem p3 voltage to whatever is required for your card - should be somewhere between 800-850mv.

This should get you to ~50MH/s for a Vega64.

It is hard, or maybe not even  possible at all to make the auto config work good on every system with different cpu combinations.
Ver 0.1.7 does the threads & affinity calculation in auto mode based on available L3 cache sizes, where 0.1.6 was not . The logic used there was really poor  Grin

So you can set --cpu-threads 15 by hand, without affinity set at all with the HT off, and should get the 4900h/s again.

Yes, I could probably use --cpu-threads 15 without Hyper-Threading enabled to get the 4900h/s again, but this is not that I would like to know.

I would like to know how can we use the Hyper-Threading to get a better hashrate.

If we can get 4400h/s with H-T (Hyper-Threading) enabled and only 55% processor activity with 16 thread out of 32 we could probably get like 30 or 31 threads out of 32 and get like, 7000h/s (x1.6)

EDIT : with --cpu-threads 15 without H-T I have 4900h/s again

Hi doktor83,

I am doing a lot of tests on CPU mining with RandomX algo.
I am using version 0.1.6 on a Fujitsu Primergy RX2560 M1 server.
I have two Intel XEON E5-2630 V3 @ 2.40GHZ 16 cores, 32 threads available

Hi, try 0.1.7 because it should better allocate threads, and let's talk then Smiley

Hello @doktor83,

Some news with SRBMiner-MULTI 0.1.7 :

I use 2x Intel XEON E5-2630 V3 @ 2.40GHZ
16 cores, 32 threads available with Hyper-Threading

WITH Hyper-Threading option enabled :

https://zupimages.net/up/19/47/vmyq.png

- Only 50-55% processor activity
- Only 16 Threads used out of 32
- Around 4400Hr/s
- Can't get more with cpu-affinity and cpu-threads

WITHOUT Hyper-Threading option enabled :

https://zupimages.net/up/19/47/z2xe.png

- 100% processor activity
- 16 Threads used out of 16
- Around 4400Hr/s (less than previous version of SRBMiner MULTI 0.1.6 : 4900Hr/s)

-> Previous version used only 15 threads out of 16 in auto-config compare to 0.1.7

I use auto-config each time for doing tests Smiley

Hi doktor83,

I am doing a lot of tests on CPU mining with RandomX algo.
I am using version 0.1.6 on a Fujitsu Primergy RX2560 M1 server.
I have two Intel XEON E5-2630 V3 @ 2.40GHZ 16 cores, 32 threads available

I would like to share my results with you and discuss about hyper-threading option.

1st test (WITH hyper-threading option enabled in BIOS, default option) :

- 16 cores, 32 threads available
SRB uses only 16 threads with auto config with a speed of 4400 Hr / s

1 in 2 thread is not used when analyzing processors activity.
I tried to play with the CPU Affinity and CPU Thread options but could not get better than 4400. If I force 32 threads (or 24, or 30) with the CPU threads option I get a ridiculous speed .

2nd test (WITHOUT hyper-threading option activated in the BIOS) :

- 16 cores, 16 threads available.
SRB uses 15 threads in auto setup. The speed increases a bit, 4900Hr / s

So I would like to know if you knew about it and if you intended to add in your code the hyper threading. If you do not plan to work on it maybe you could warn people not to use the hyper threading option to have a better Hr / S.
I think if hyper-threading option can be manage in SRB we can get maybe 1.6x more speed, what do you think ?

Thank you for your feedback on the subject Smiley

Hi KolordZ!  Cool

Here you have the link to RegFile for the ~ 2450 H / s settings.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gtrEwS8fEDJyUUvDncKRTsjqv6hTyoxN/view?usp=sharing

You just have to change the settings for P7 and P3 to the values of my link.
1690Mhz / 1000mV and 1100Mhz / 923mV

About VirtualMemory:
I've set 100,000 - 100,000 on my rig. With 12 graphics cards. I had previously 70,000 - 70,000, but this attitude was very close and could not open programs at full capacity.

So I would recommend healthy to set 10,000 memory / card.

Hope I could maybe help you.

Best regards
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

It doesn't work with this settings. My cards got 0 H/s then I got freeze. When I use Stock PowerTable and only change the setting for P7 and P3 it work ! But probably not really stable.. Could you help me to find the right value to get the best H/s without looking the electricity cost ?

I have try to set 10.000 memory/card but nothing change. I can run SRB with Tweak 10, it mine, but if I close the miner and restart it I have this error message... I don't understand why..

Thanks,

I have already written a post where the cards to ~2450 H/s create, but was not paid attention to the power consumption!
I've been trying to achieve maximum performance here.

Here are the settings:

Topic SRB high performance: (without thinking about power consumption)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AiuqbS6gbPW6IsT7p8QmgB6GrfIphHzB/view?usp=sharing

OverdrivnTool-Values:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ydngQu040cwMsyW8gdJVLLJI52gH8fIj/view?usp=sharing

You can still try between: 1680Mhz/1000 or 1690Mhz/1000.

I am at your disposal for questions.

Hi Patrick,

Coul you share the PowerTable-RegFile for this config please ?

If you get a "Error CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE" try increase virtual memory in windows.
Go with number of GPU's * 8gb + 8 , for example 6gpu * 8gb + 8 = 56gb virtual memory.

I have try to increase virtual memory in Windows as you say.
But nothing change, the error is always here..

What can I do now ? What do you need ?

Hi @doktor83 !

I have try to increase virtual memory in Windows as you say. I have 3 Sapphire RX Vega 64 Nitro+ (Use in SRB Miner) and 1 Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 (Use in XMR Stak)
I have upgrade the memory like this : 8192*4 (because I have 4 cards) + 8192 = 40.960 Mo
But nothing change, the error is always here..

P.S : I have this option enable beacause of XMR Stak :

What can I do now ? What do you need ?

Regarding the tweaking profiles, you must find the right profile for your weaker gpu's not every card can handle the same profile number.

You can do that in gpu_conf, for example :

Quote
"gpu_conf" :
[
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 124, "worksize" : 16, "tweak_profile" : 10, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 1, "intensity" : 124, "worksize" : 16, "tweak_profile" : 10, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 2, "intensity" : 124, "worksize" : 16, "tweak_profile" : 6, "threads" : 2}
]

Do you know why every card can't handle the same profil ? I don't understand.. This is the same GPU, same manufacturer, same conception.. There is a bug with my card ? Do I have to return the card in warranty ?
I can't go up to tweak 8 with this card while others can handle tweak 10 with 0 problem.. And this is exactly the same GPUs

Hi Mate!

So because of the invalid shares:

It can happen, but mostly the servers or the pools are the reason. Just have a look at the "Stats". It could also be that the pool is in another region, YOU might have looked? Maybe the wrong port?

It could be the internet connection which might be too slow, it could just be the wrong server or wrong region from the pool as described above.

Your attitudes I believe are the same as mine.

These are my "Start Settings":

setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_MAX_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
@echo off
cd% ~ dp0

SRBMiner-CN.exe --config config \ config-normalv4.txt --pools pools.txt

AND

{ "id" : 0, "intensity" : 124, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 2, "tweak_profile" : 10},

do you have others?

Topic high performance: (without thinking about power consumption)

We are now @2450 H/s Tongue
OverdriveNTool settings:
P7 1680Mhz / 1000mV - P3 1100Mhz / 923mV

So I did not manage to do more without a crash at the moment. HAHA

It appear when I start to mine with tweak to 10 then I close the miner (or it restart because of GPU crash) then I restart the miner.
Any idea ?

SO I have 2 problems..

- One of my GPU can't mine with tweak profil 10 (invalid shares appears.. and not on the others GPU (WHY ??)) This is exacly the same GPU

- If I use tweak profil 10 I have that problem when the miner has restarted :

Hi Guys!
I've been working on the constellation MiningRig Vega64 for the past 2 years - water cooled and fe cooled mix.

With the following settings and setup:

SRB Miner 1.9.3.
Windows 10 (1803)
Adrenaline Driver 18.6.1
ASUS B250 Mining Expert
8x Vega64 - WATER cooled // 4x Vega64 FE

Today I spent the whole day testing my rig again and again and again, and was able to reach the following values:

Highest daily value: 2346 H/s
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uYAECE4AHwyW87EuXRnN7DFuBFH4PWBO/view?usp=sharing

Settings CONFIG:
{"id": 0, "intensity": 124, "worksize": 16, "threads": 2, "tweak_profile": 10},
{"id": 1, "intensity": 124, "worksize": 16, "threads": 2, "tweak_profile": 10},

POWERTABLE settings:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1E13BCCLTxWO6yf4sGDfVG93XAiw-HRE7/view?usp=sharing
Download LINK:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UDGf8JcuKY4mFrSiFdrcWeYd24Gh2rtT/view?usp=sharing

(IMPORTANT: Then adjust the values in the OverdrivnTool for P7 and P3 to: 1435Mhz // 966mV and 1100Mhz // 923mV

I have now searched for a strong and stable attitude and personally changed something. I have also tried to reduce power consumption a little, but it comes with P7 (mV) from 950 crash of the system. So 966mV I think is the safest and option, with P3 (mV) 923 is very close, as I have a lot of experience with P3 (MhZ) of 1100, where they have set in the old PowerTables between 905mv and 915mv, that often crashed the system.
Maybe those are not the best values, but I'm pretty happy. Wink I am always happy to work on it and reach new heights in mining with my Vega`s.  Roll Eyes

I worked for a long time with the TABLE // P7 - 1408/915 and P3 - 1100/905, but unfortunately I had to realize that these are no longer stable or I could not find a stable version and I tried a lot.

I hope I could possibly help, you can always send me a message.

Best regards
Patrick

Hi Patrick !

That's what I've with my config :

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1NeA_xZSNHb0ztyQ05SygDjfXp3DezStL

So I don't understand why are you using this config if you have less H/s than me ?

When I try your config I have less too.

Hi Mate!
Thx for your reply!

I know well that it is possible to clock the bars even higher, but of course it costs more electricity! Wink

I'm from Austria, where the price per kilowatt is about 0.21 € (cent). So not very cheap, of course I could too
my graphics cards to 1750Mhz clock (WaterCooled), but the cards should work longer, haha  Grin
I personally think of it as "middlething" .. I said yes there are higher values possible, but not every person has low electricity prices. Wink

Of course I will continue to try other options and continue testing.
I am currently working with 2x ENERMAX PLATIMAX 1700Watt power supplies and have found that the power consumption with higher version of the SRB-Miner has continued to increase.

I can still remember that earlier versions were about ~ 180 watts / Vega64 card, now we are now at ~ 210 - 230 watts per / card;)
Of course, there were also allgorythm changes, which increased the power consumption in any case.

I've seen your values that you've tested 3 graphics cards, I have 12 pieces, that's of course another big piece. Where you just have to take care of a lot more so that the system does not break or collapse  Roll Eyes

My personal aim is to get high performance, but to consume less power.

So step by step.

anyway THANK YOU!

Greetings Patrick

Patrick,

Thanks for your reply.

When I use tweaking profil 10 I've some Invalid job appears.. I don't know why. I have Sapphire RX Vegas 64 Nitro+ and when I look Doktor and you on tweak profil 10 you don't have invalid shares... Why i'm getting this ? (In 1h I've got 3/55 invalid)

Something wrong with my config ?

Another question, in that case where you don't have to pay electricy what kind of config can we use with our cards to get the best and stable performance ?

Thanks !

When I use min_rig_speed option with 6000 H/s with this config the option says : Your average Hashrate is lower then 6000 (2100 H/s sometime 4200 H/s) but in SRB my average hashrate is 6400 H/s. That's normal ?

Nope, thats not normal, can you try to set 'min_rig_speed_duration' to for example 1800, that is 30 minutes. Im curious if the same thing will happen.

[2019-04-29 12:49:55] GPU0 :    2216 H/s [T: 59c, RPM: 1737, CC: 1502 MHz, MC: 1100 MHz][BUS:10]

[2019-04-29 12:49:55] Total:    6654 H/s
[2019-04-29 12:51:34] Average hashing speed (1106 H/S) is lower than the defined minimum (6600 H/S) speed!

Hi, Dok!
Just examined your timings for profile 10.
They are good for hynix HBM2 but for samsung (both low voltage 800-940 mhz vega56 and high voltage 945-1100 mhz vega64 I have much better (more stable and fast) mem timings)
I can share to you if you want ))

Ok, so now i have examined your V64 samsung timings and i can't see why they would be much better, as you say.

Can you run profile 10 on V64 with samsung mem?
If you can, what's the hashrate with profile 10 vs your timing on the same algo?
my timings are stable up to 1090mhz hbm clock. Yours feel fine with 1107 but I didn't test for long.
Mine are 2350h/s cn-r (teamred) vs yours 2200h/s (teamred) with 1090mhz clock. Claymore's is 49.5 vs 48 mhs eth.
With higher mem clock (1107mhz) with your timings results are getting better but didn't catch mine at 1090mhz.

Should I change something to get better hashrate ?

Hi guys !

I'm really lost with those config.. My rig isn't stable. I got all the time crash, or bug and I don't know why.

I'm using Windows 10 1809 with 18.6.1 drivers and  I got 3 Sapphire RX Vegas 64 Nitro+ and 1 Sapphire Radeon HD 7950

I'm using SRB Miner 1.8.6 with my 3 Vegas and i'm using XMR Stak with my Radeon HD 7950.

This is my config in SRB Miner :

{
"cryptonight_type" : "normalv4",
"intensity" : 0,
"double_threads" : true,
"gpu_conf" :
[
   { "id" : 1, "intensity" : 122, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 2, "tweak_profile" : 0},
   { "id" : 2, "intensity" : 122, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 2, "tweak_profile" : 0},
   { "id" : 3, "intensity" : 122, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 2, "tweak_profile" : 0}
]
}

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SRBMiner-CN.exe --config Config\config-normalv4.txt --pools pools.txt --logfile %LOGTIME%

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes I got GPU crash then SRB try to shutdown my PC and it freezes.

This is my Wattman config :

GPU Clock : -8%
Memory Clock : 1105 Mhz

My Hashrate with tweak profil to 3 :

GPU0: 2149 H/s [T:68c][BUS:10]
GPU1: 2155 H/s [T:68c][BUS:7]
GPU2: 2157 H/s [T:67c][BUS:3]
hashrate: Total: 6461 H/s

That is really low with Vegas 64 Nitro+.. Doktor83, with your 56 you have 2100 Hashrate with each cards with tweak profil 5.. (In your video)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something to change ?

Doktor83 I have try to use "min_rig_speed" option but there is a bug with this one in SRB 1.8.6. This is not the good average Hashrate. If someone can try and confirm that is a bug..

reduce Memory Clock : 1105 Mhz
to 1090mhz and try - 1100 is normal - 1107 is very high(my vega64LE not work normal woith 1102mhz)

My memory clock is now : 1100, I will try it and I'm using "target_temperature" : and I fix it to 55°

I don't know why you have crashes, but your vega temperatures are too high (thats +10c on the vram).

1.8.6 has 10 tweak profiles, so you have 7 more to try Smiley

Also you can disable the watchdog so it wont restart the miner on gpu crash, use --disablegpuwatchdog.

I would first try to lower memory clock, get temps down to at least 60c.

min_rig_speed gets the average hashrate for 'min_rig_speed_duration' time, that is 5 minutes if not set by the user.
So please describe what you think is a bug.

When I use min_rig_speed option with 6000 H/s with this config the option says : Your average Hashrate is lower then 6000 (2100 H/s sometime 4200 H/s) but in SRB my average hashrate is 6400 H/s. That's normal ?
