I'm not sure if its the future per se but it will likely definitely be used quite substantially. There are just too many benefits to using it. I think bitcoin will become used more in illegal gambling too which may not be a bad thing. People using it for anything is good in my opinion as it makes it more in demand.

I think it would be a fantastic caricaturization of the fact we are living on the end times of a collapsing system. A hip hop popstar leading the United States would constitute the ultimate proof that the world has gone completely insane. At least we would have a president with plenty of swag tho.
It's not that ridiculous. Presidents like George W Bush wern't exactly qualified to run the nation. Kanye isn't going to get in but he should take Trump as his running partner / prospective VP.

You can't. If its a good idea someone will copy and steal it. That's just something that happens. It's really difficult to come up with an original idea but even harder to get funding.

yes, a budget that you put down on paper/spreadsheet will probably show you some expenses you never really thought of, and its a good idea to add EVERYTHING, even small monthly expenses like $8/month for netflix should be on there, if you dont account for that stuff you're only hurting yourself
Things like netflix and such are the stuff that people should be getting rid of. Paying for TV isn't needed at all as you can stream or download pretty much everything you want from alternative sources. Getting rid of non essentials even if it's just a little a month all adds up and this a is a great way to save.
He is better off doing monthly payments in my opinion. Not sure why everyone is so worried though as they always pay. If he needs someone to hold the BTC and fill the wallet I can do it for him.
Hasn't this always been weekly? I think they did it to try get the edge on competition as mostly people seem to prefer weekly payments and want to get their bitcoins asap.

That's the key bit. If he was buried on the basis of multiple fudgings, mistakes and lies then a little opening emerges for appeals.
Personally I think he's dick who deserved to go down, but anyone looking at how it played out would be hard pressed to say he got a fair trial.

I also felt the same way as you did, but watching the Silk Road documentary I feel a bit sorry for him and definitly think he got an unfair trail. Funny how the US can do whatever they want to put someone away and disregard their defense on valid points and can also hack into peoples data and communications en mass but if one person does it against someone else they're a criminal and ca be put away for it.

I'm no expert on the technology so I'm not 100% sure how it works but it might be best charging minimal fees and having them distributed to the people who run/host the client in a similar way to how bitcoin mining works. Does anyone know how the escrow function will work? That could be the trickiest part or weak link in the system.

Well I would say promote it by using it to buy things with, but I guess that's one of the main problems with alt coins is there's not really many things you can actually spend them on.

It'll be a long time before bank accounts in the Western World are replaced or go the way of the Dodo, but for the unbanked in developing nations bitcoin and these types of services may be their only option so I could see this as a way for bitcoin to flourish.

Except not everyone is a 'hodler' and looking at the blockchain people are quite clearly spending them on things. Bitcoin needs both holdlers and spenders and that's what it's got. Besides, those hodlers will spend or cash out once bitcoin gets to their desired price.
