Florin is the same as Gulden In a few years and Gulden has zero chance to recover because the founder has sold, only Florin gets development and new exchanges and after all this drama in the last 2 weeks more people have left.

This was my thinking before I worked out the figures

Some community members on slack have mentioned a coin burn or another reward halving to help the price. Bitcoinmeester removed Gulden because the price is too low. I was thinking the reward stress must be similar to Florin, I tried to do a comparison of what each block costs between florin and Gulden.

Gulden block is every 2.5 minutes and florin every 5 minutes. So I must *2 the Gulden reward to make it have sense.

Gulden reward every 5 minutes = 180 NLG *  0.006 = €1.08
Florin reward every 5 minites = 0.1 XFL * 53 = €5.3

Rijk is right, whales are forcing the value of Gulden down on purpose. Gulden has 20% of the selling pressure from block rewards compared to Florin.

I see the team has a new coin, if I were to invest €2500 into Gulden or Florin which one would you go for. Reading the comments it looks like Florin is the one to invest in from this team.  Gulden feels better because I can buy 275 000 coins and not much florin but I do understand florin supply is waaaayy smaller.

I would hold onto the florin in the short term, with less than 1 btc the price will triple. I like Gulden but look at the sell orders on bittrex, it does not look good.  Short term you better off with holding your florin and selling Gulden.

I have no idea what the vision for this coin is, but from what I have read it appears to be going an isolationist route. This route generally requires a lot of funding as you're not inviting others to participate on your blockchain.
For businesses in the Netherlands looking to create their own tokens (business on the blockchain), Gulden would be an ideal candidate due to easier access to the team via language (Dutch) and location.

Gulden is A tier level 1 blockchain which counted for a lot until 2018.

After the next project I would personally switch focus to making Gulden an interoperable blockchain through the use of smart contracts and allowing tokenized blockchains to be added. Gulden claims to have top notch security so why not move to the next level by
providing businesses the opportunity to work off the Gulden blockchain?

Reading some of the history on this coin, it's strength is not market reach, raising capital or usability but core development based on solid security. Let others make Gulden usable while they benefit from the security this blockchain provides.

I would also consider if possible to change florin into a token on the Gulden blockchain with a separate use case, let the current holders do a coin swap on the only exchange. This merger will create value for both coins, 2 different blockchains don't provide any value to each other for
the investor and adds more confusion. it can also serve to show others that Gulden is open for business. USE US TO ADD YOUR BUSINESS TO THE BLOCKCHAIN

The benefit is, as more tokens are created against your blockchain, is that exchanges will be forced to add Gulden for free due to it being the base chain for those tokens. Funding from various businesses with specific development requests, free marketing. etc etc

Review the above with a pinch of salt, if the goal of Gulden is to remain a basic cryptocurrency that is a better version of bitcoin (1000s of these already) than the team should carry on doing what they doing as they are doing this part well.

Trust me m8, I am a small fish in a big pond, I can't afford to be a whale in a top 300 coin and a goal of mine was to be a one percenter in a coin that has promise. I aim to have 7 million to make it 1% of max supply.

I am concerned about the coins I am > 10x on this year dropping in price. Time to sell?!?!

2 euro cent is cheap with a reward halving schedule in place, before the reward halving it was easy to manipulate the prices down especially after Rijk raised the rewards twice which was a disaster for Gulden if you were a hodler.

Syscoin is the closest to what Gulden has but is on more exchanges. Guldens potential to hit a new ATH is easier now. After the 2nd reward halving you can expect 1 euro prices.

That coin is dead, it's a time sink.

I would of notified the GAB immediately when I saw the dev reward was outlasting the sell by date of the developers and GAB.

So bad so so bad!!! We almost purchased more when the price went below 2c. Please whales dump one more time before the reward changes. Give a couple brothers a chance to get in low.

It's a great read about how green Gulden is compared to bitcoin, it was good timing especially with eyes on energy consumption that bitcoin uses and with Gulden you are getting superior security at the same marketcap for far less energy consumption.
