Yes, let's try to build up Bytecent again. The original idea behind the coin, i.e. using it as a blockchain powered rewards network, is great and has lots of potential in my opinion
Thank you Grinder and the talks are going well. I brought up the community member who wants to make Bytecent open source and they are actually open to the idea.
Best, Christopher
Great to hear! Looking forward to further details!!
I am happy to announce we reached our goal of 1 BTC!!! I want to thank everyone who contributed and helped us get listed on Stex Exchange! I am humbled by the fact you guys still believe in Bytecent and I promise I will not let the community down.
Tomorrow I will post a list of exchanges you guys can vote on for the second exchange to get listed on.
Please also post your questions on http://byctalk.com. This makes it easier for community members to answer your questions and keep track of all the different topics.
Can i tranfert the Byc wallet to Bittrex wallet in a future ? If i loose my computer y loose my Bitecents ?
Thank you very much.
Yes, once you have a Bytecent address within your Bittrex account, you can send your Bytecent there. However, keep in mind that online exchanges can be hacked. So it might be safer to store your BYC in your own wallet on your computer. You can make a copy of your wallet and store it on a USB drive for example in order to have a backup. And of course you should protect your wallet with a password.
Bytecent How do we do it? I understood how to do with Bittrex, but similarly, I can not do it and I do not understand how one can do without
Open your wallet, click on the "earn" tab on the left side, press the green play button (under "Setup") and 4 numbers show up. When you see them, enter the code by clicking on the blue numbers on the right side. There you go, now you can mine for 60 minutes!
Moreover, a few weeks ago, Claranova issued a press release stating that Avanquest Software is going to launch a new mobile app based on blockchain technology. This has to be the cooperation between Avanquest and Bytecent. When it all comes together, this will be huge. Here is the official press release (written in French): https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20171108006011/fr/
just to be listed on exchange gives few month price pump and not a lot more. when exchange delist, you may lose much more. Development, marketing, roadmap, vision, community are key
You are right, development and community are the most important! Concerning Bittrex, they have been a reliable partner for years and during the last months, the volume in USD has been rising steadily for BYC. So I think there is no risk of being delisted. As for development, I dont know the exact release date, but Christopher confirmed that he is working both on the new service for Avanquest and a new wallet version making it easier for the general public to mine. These new services are going to make Bytecent mainstream! For example, also the Bytecent wallet we are using right now, is one of the most beautifully designed and easy to use I have ever seen in crypto.
As Christopher is taking care of the development part, we as supporters should try to build up an active community and make Bytecent mainstream.
I have been following Bytecent for quite some time now, I want to be part of the progress of the coin, my fear has been the volume in Bittrex and majorly that it is not in any other exchange should Bittrex decide to delist
Please is there anything the devs are doing about that?
@Wealthway I agree that the more exchanges Bytecent is traded on, the better it is for the coin. However, as Bytecent partners with other companies, the exchanges BYC is listed on have to be reliable. Back in the days, we tried to get BYC on Poloniex. Unfortunately, they didn't want to add us back then. After Christopher releases the new app he is developing for Avanquest, it should be easier to get on well known exchanges. However, getting it on Poloniex beforehand would of course be amazing.
3 years ago, this post from Christopher made me believe in Bytecent. We wil see how everything turns out! This is the link to the original post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=845848.0
Would it be possible to update the preloaded blockchain for the Bytecent wallet on the website, so that the synchronization is faster for new people who want to start mining?
