I notice above that there are parts of the instructions on how to resynchronize my wallet that are crossed out.
Is it no longer necessary to use the bootstrap file to synch the wallet?

I had a hard drive failure but, thankfully I had a recent backup of my wallet. I am wondering what the correct way is to get back in synch  Huh

The instructions have been updated.

@vicvelcro

Try running repairwallet with the new CapitalCoin-qt from 09/16/2004.

Make certain you are in sync with the block explorer first.

[edit to add info]
After using the debug console "help" and reading through it, I started poking things. I backed up my wallet.dat first. So, after trying all kinds of things that I won't specify - because they didn't help... I will say that in the debug console, I typed "checkwallet" and waited a while to see what the result would be. It came back with "mismatched spent". I typed "repairwallet" and let it do whatever things it does. When it finished, my coins were listed as "Staked" on the Overview. I presume that after they have staked long enough, they will become my normal balance again. If not, I'll post back here.

Just in case this might help somebody else, I include it here.

[original post]
On Sept 13, I updated to 1.4.2 and started the wallet. My 640,000 coins went from "Balance" to "Stake", 2755.91534 coins showed up as PoS mined. It is now Sept 16, those PoS mined coins are still showing 0 confirmations and all of my coins that were "Staked" have vanished, my "Balance" is still 0, My unconfirmed coins are still 0. Net total coins in my wallet anywhere is 0.

I restarted the wallet with -rescan option but that did not change anything.

A little help?

Just as a sanity check, is your wallet in sync with the block explorer?

Can you check the balance of your address on the block explorer, just to confirm that the issue is with your wallet.

Also I'm testing an update to repair wallet, once done I will release an update.

are you connected to more than one node?
It should not matter until 130Mil, but all this nodes have the latets version, try connecting to them.
Code:

Hi to me is still a little unclear what your site is or does, it looks like a forum, you should add an about page with more details as to what your site is all about.

In regards to your question about letting you know of our Coins below is my answer.

Capitalcoin CPTL

0% PreMine
First to use Moore's Law for PoW/PoS

To find out more about the coin please check out the ANN page.

----Edit----
Oh ok I when to the link you had at the top not http://casheer.net you should swap the placement of your links and place the one for the forum at the bottom.

Re: THE SLEEPERS : good Alt Coins going unnoticed

markets get diluted badly from aprox 1,000 shit coins = good coins get ignored.

Agree 100% For example

CapitalCoin CPTL

0% PreMine

First to implement Moore's Law for PoW/PoS.

CapitalCoin unlike Bitcoin, uses a variable block reward (with a maximum of 1000 CPTL per block). The algorithm utilizes Moore's law which accurately predicts the growth of computational power. The creation of new coins (block reward) decreases on a scale related to the computational effort used,  with a halving every 16x the network difficulty. The more miners, the lower the block reward. If there are less miners the block reward will increase.

That is better that any X11-to-1000 algorithm as it does not care how much hash you throw at it, it's just going to give you a lower payout making it non beneficial for multipool and mining farms. Which is one of the reason why those pump and dumpers are ignoring this coin.

Yet not that many people know about it, why because since it's an honest coin without the budget of the scam coin that just get everyone rally up and pump the market while they dump the coins and run to launch their next scam coin.
