I hope not, but at the rate the price is dwindling down, it's possible. Also, who's to say it will stop at $3000? It might go lower, but maybe the $3000-$6000 is going to be the new normal. It might go higher as the year ends. Thing is, we don't know for sure, but as long as people are patronizing it then bitcoin is fine imo.

I'm going to go against what the others are saying and think that it's possible some other technology might come to replace it. Blockchain is a technology, and technology is advancing fast. Old school televisions have been replaced with flat screen TVs, then it was upgraded to Smart TVs and now there's even curved TVs. All same "technology" but just have been upgraded and evolved from its predecessors. It will be the same with blockchain. We don't know why and how it will "fail" but if and when it does, some other technology will emerge to take its place.

I've seen this scenario in one of those medical TV shows before. What I don't understand is whatever the f*** is their purpose for mutilating a young girl's private parts? Yes, it's their culture, but what does it exactly do and why do they do that? If those girls have parents and they allowed to let this barbaric practice be done to their child then they should be held responsible. They just ruined the kid's life! Angry

The millennials may like cryptocurrency because it's quick money, but the question is can they even afford to buy even just a single coin? Profits don't just grow in trees and being tech savvy ain't enough if you've got the wrong mindset, which a lot of people have these days. Millennial or not.

Why does it have one or the other? Why can't it be both? Besides, bitcoin is not in the same league as blockchain. Those two are different, and are very capable of existing for a very long time.

To be honest, Bitcoin is a part of the wild crypto market and no one can predict the accurate future and hence there is no right or wrong answer to this question. However, considering the potential of Bitcoin/crypto industry and the growth of it since inception, I believe that this thing is here to stay but again, that doesn't mean I should invest my entire capital in it. I would go with diversification method and invest various parts in multiple sectors/forms rather than keeping all the eggs in the single basket. Thus to conclude, I would say that Bitcoin is one of the good ways to save money but not the single method.

Agreed. Saving money for OP's friend's son's future in bitcoin is a great idea, but because of its unpredictability, he can't put all of his money in bitcoin alone. Better to save some in the bank as well, and perhaps sign up an insurance for his son. Start early so he will have a bright future. Plus if he eventually inherited the bitcoins, he will have stable life financially for sure.

I'm not sure it's a new coin like OP said, or maybe I misunderstood it. I did a quick Google search and based on their website, https://virternity.com/virie it's a payment system "designed to become the economic foundation of the shared, mixed reality of the Virternity space". Also, why few people heard about it is because I don't think they've launched it yet. Explains why there's not a lot of content about it yet.

All seasons are great. My favorite seasons are 1 and 3. The last season was boring, in my opinion. But I still really wonder what will happen next.

We pretty much know that the NK was going to get into Westeros and he has the biggest army ever and now that he has a dragon as well, he will be nigh unstoppable especially when he is able to resurrect the dead and make them fight in his army.

Agreed. Season 7 was action packed I don't know how anyone find it boring. Every episode includes a battle of some sort and it really set things up for the final season. It makes you want to tune in more to see who's dying next and who will survive. Also, how anyone finding a dragon's death boring and it becoming a Night King's pet, I don't know. What exactly isn't boring for you mate?

I've recently bought a new iPhone XS Max and am really loving its AR capabilities. I really enjoy using it with my nephew and nieces. I also like playing games in VR. I think these two, AR and VR will be, or should be, a big thing in the future. It's making every day lives less boring, especially VR. Virtual reality makes you want to live in the virtual world for good.

I think so. VR could serve as a safe place for them to unleash their thoughts and aggressions without harming others or themselves. And who knows? The escape might even serve as rehabilitation for them.

This. It may be a good way to relieve one`s emotions and stress, nothing wrong with it.
As for the wish to unleash aggression that may cause hurting other people, I believe it`s too close to a medical condition and should be treated by a specialist.

I agree. But if someone is thinking about intentionally harming others, then VR may not be good idea because it just might push them even more to enact the thing in real life. But if it's only to unleash emotions because you're pissed at your boss or colleague then VR is definitely the way to go, just like other video games.

if you have some.. let's say fantasies that you don't want to brag about wide open in front of the world and you can't fulfill them without harming others, is VR the place to get satisfaction?

What, like a crime? I would be very concerned if someone says they have fantasies about doing something that will cause harm to other people. Even if it's in VR, it's still not something you should be "fantasizing" about.

I'm not even sure whether this is a bad or a good thing right now but this is definitely unusual and I have never seen it before even though I have been in the crypto scene since 2014.

From what I can see the development (Lightning network etc.) is more active than it ever was, so shouldn't that give a little boost to the price at least?

Yes, but my concern right now more than the price stability is that with the price sitting around 6000USD, shouldn't it have encouraged people to start using it, and for business establishments to start accepting bitcoins as payments? Do you think the price may not be low enough or stable enough for people to wanna get into it, or is bitcoin maybe the problem after all?

Yes we are. Just take a look at the shooting that happened a couple of hours ago in Thousand Oaks. We may be on top of the food chain, but we're also savages who kills for sport. We terrorize not just each other, but also the planet and a whole lot of us aren't even bothered by what is happening with the world right now.

It was reportedly a lone male shooter (no race released yet), 22 years old and known to police.  He avoided a 5150 hold last April, seems like the crisis worker didn't have enough to toss him in the looney bin back then.

Reports are he used a glock .45 cal, legally purchased weapon but used a modified mag (reports say the mod was to hold additional rounds).  Reports are the handgun was the only weapon used in the attack.

The nut job was found in an office in the bar with apparent self inflicted fatal wounds when the Police found him.

Police are searching his house now.

Motive and or connection to the scene are not known or being released ATM.

Why are women never the shooters in these cases?  I mean there are some psycho bitches that do some nutty shit but they don't generally get a gun and go on a shooting spree.

The worst thing about this is that the suspect, identified as Ian David Long, had served in the US Marines and fought in Afghanistan. Makes you wonder if you're truly safe in the hands of those who have served the country or not, which is bad because there surely are a whole lot of people who have served the country and turned out alright.

Because, why would they in the first place? How would blockchain technology help Facebook and Twitter's platform exactly?

Remove your mindset of that every single thing should have it's own blockchain. Blockchain is very unnecessary in most platforms, hence why we see a lot of useless coins and tokens.

Basically this. Facebook and Twitter may be two of the biggest social networking websites today, but they don't need blockchain in the first place. They're good on their own. And I agree. Not everything should run on and use blockchain. It's a great technology but we don't have to shove it down everyone else's throats.

The 14th Amendment, Section 1 begins:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside…

Sen. Jacob Howard was the author of the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause. On the floor of the U.S. Senate in 1866, Sen. Howard clarified the meaning of the Citizenship Clause:

This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.

The meaning was not as it is being interpreted as of right now. This is being abused for the 'anchor babies' as Jeb Bush once said!

So what should happen to a baby born in the US to an American citizen father and a non American citizen mother?

It will make the child half American, and this speaking based on experience. A cousin who lives in another country went to the United States with his wife because my cousin was assigned by his company in the country they reside in to transfer to America. They had their first child a year later, and another two years after. Their kids became American citizens automatically because they were born in the US, they, however are not and did not become citizens.

My sister, on the other hand, married an American and they have been together for 8 years. She came to the US one year after they got married and they have been living there for since then. She's still not an American citizen, but they had a baby so that makes the baby half American.

But I wonder, if this became official, will it affect those who have already been granted citizenship, just because they have parents who are not Americans even though they were born and raised in the US?

In a way, I believe in this. Why? Look at what's been happening since 2000. The Mayans believed that the world is going to end by 2000 or something like that. Although it didn't literally end, we've experienced a lot of natural and man-made disasters since then. Terrible summer season, terrorism, climate change. All that and the bible's statement seem to be coming together. So yes, maybe the end really is near. Poor children, they may not even see the future.

Deadly, how? Bitcoin is risky, that's for sure, but deadly? I don't see why you think it is. Do you mean because bitcoin's price is unstable? Well, if all goes well, our grandchildren could have a bright future living in a world where there's only one global currency, and that is bitcoin.
