For now the fans can only choose who they want but the main thing that would give them joy is for their club to have an attacker like every other club. Look at how busy other clubs are, getting ready to face the challenges that lies ahead with new and reliable players that are joining the team but the Gunners are still stuck at a place.
I understand your concern. Right now, Arsenal just need any striker who can score up to 30 goals in one season.
Going back to the deal with Gyokeres I think the £5m is not the problem. The deal has been pending because Arsenal feel exploited. Remember, the first agreement for the player was £65m, then increased to £70m and again to £80m. It's obvious they are trying to take advantage of the desperate need for a striker by Arsenal which isn't fair.
Arsenal have always been prone to being tricked when it comes to recruiting players, especially strikers. The problem has always been that when Arsenal are interested in a player, they sometimes make a late decision, resulting in the player being signed by another club. Now, however, the decision was made quickly, but Sporting Lisbon reversed the deal at a higher price. This certainly confused Arteta, and could have failed if he had other options.
Sporting's move makes sense, given Arsenal's continued search for a new striker, especially since Gyokeres is a prolific striker. This would certainly help Arsenal's attack compete in the Premier League. If Gyokeres joined Arsenal, their attack would be truly terrifying, aided by Rice, Mendi, Odegart, and Martinelli. Arsenal, even without a striker, almost won the title because all lines can score goals. Moreover, with a striker like Gyokeres, Arsenal would certainly be a threat next season.
