Re: Road, Water, Electricity and digital skills. What would you fix first with 500m?
by

If you're  given 500m naira to fix one thing in your locality, what would you choose? Road, Water , Electricity and digital skills  for youths.
since my locality only needs to be connected to the national grid and then they can get access to a moderate electricity, i will take a portion of the money first of all to sort out the electricity need of my community, after doing that, i can then intentionally select some youths across different sections of my locality that are interested in learning craft, pay for their complete intention under a firm and upon completion of the internship, i can them work with them to start up the thing they have learnt such that they become self-employed and in the long run, they can become employers of labor.

An alternative option will be to set up a standard skill acquisition institute across different part of my locality that can be well equipped to handle all forms of practical skilled courses that will help the youth become skilled individual. if that is being sorted out, it will go a long way to make my environment an highly congested unemployed zone.

Re: Watin inspired you to join the bitcoin forum?

But i know say all of us get our unique reasons of joining the forum, pls let the conversation flow, thank
Everything about my joining the forum and even staying up to this moment revolves around the fact that I'm a bitcoin enthusiast and that prompted whatever move I took to learn about bitcoin and afterwards got introduced to the forum through a friend.

The point of getting started is not always too renounced and for me, I didn't start knowing that I'm going to stay this long in the forum. But in the long run, seeing bitcoin getting new ATH and seeing that there's a lot one stands to learn and gain for being a part of the forum, it became a necessity that I've got to stay, grow and blend completely well into the forum.

Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions

I am not surprised that Marcus Rashford accepted a pay cut to move to Barcelona this season, but I am surprised that he will be receiving £80k per week at Barcelona. It is not that Marcus Rashford doesn't care about Manchester United, but the problem is that Ruben Amorim didn't include Marcus Rashford in his plan, so Marcus Rashford has to accept a cut that's as low as £80k per week just to play football where he will be happy and valued.
playing for Barcelona should be seen as a lift for Marcus Rashford even if he is going to the club on the ground of a loan. Manchester united are not even in a major competition this season and normally, most of her players that are struggling to find a place in the team will happily move out to a better place where they can play along big players. playing for Aston villa last season gave him the opportunity of playing in the champions league even though united didn't qualify for same league. playing for barca this season will still give him that edge and for the salary cut, it could be the little sacrifice he has to make just so he ca have a really good season.

Re: Body positivity / Fat acceptance
by

Body shaming is a major cause of inferiority complex that a lot of either plus sized people are facing or that might not look a certain way that the generality of the public sees to be okay with them and that has led to depression and taking of drugs just to blend into what is generally accepted in the society as her norms.

If you feel healthy being fat and in the long run there is not going to be a threat to you because of your plus size, then there is no need trying to stress yourself about it just to please others. we as humans don't have a say when it comes to the body we are created with. we all grew up to see that we are either fat, short, slim or tall and had to embrace who we are. if you decides to work out just to look a certain way, that is totally fine but if it is because of the opinion of others, then that is not worth it.

the goal is to not just look healthy but to be actually healthy. you can be slim fitted and still be sick while another can be fat or chubby and be damn healthy within.

Re: BTC as means of payment is a looking more possible than before?
by

Yeah, i would never touch my stack.

BUT, if it suddenly became commonplace to spend bitcoin, I might from time to time buy a little to specifically spend in a specific store, to sort of support the movement.
When there is a legit reason to spend your coin, it is not out of place to do so even if you are not doing it just for the purpose of supporting the increasing need to advocate for the usage of bitcoin for the sake of making payment.

Factors like the stability of bitcoin price is going to be one strong determinant that will tell if people will be ready to spend there bitcoin, take that out and it will become really difficult for people to spend there bitcoin for making purchases in a time when the discussion is more about the price of bitcoin going higher and placing more people in great profit. the plan of many will tilt towards how to build a more robust stack rather than selling it out.

Re: Investment is for everyone
by

Investment is not for people that doesn't seek for financial freedom, investment is not for those that believes they are contented with the paycheck they are receiving every month, which they could receive for a lifetime until they retire and start receiving pension till death.
Even at that, investment is still for them. some people might not know the significant of financial freedom until they start investing and in the long run the profit starts coming and then they understand the significant of investing and how that they have wasted a lot of time before getting started in their investment journey. one ting about investing in bitcoin is that you need to get started first and later on you can figure out a lot of things along the way. even if you are not all that financially strong, getting started will help you know what is involved as a bitcoin investor and that way, it becomes easier to not just invest temporarily for the short term but to also join the loads of long term investors to build something that is tangible for the long run.

(This forum seems more secure with our informations but however if you commit a big crime that is way beyond the forum internal control the admins wouldn't mind giving your informations to the right authorities)
A criminal is a criminal wether the person is a reputable member of the forum or not and good thing is that the forum stands really strong against anything that looks like a crime so there's no need trying to hide under the cover of the forum to carry out a questionable act.

If the context of the thread is to Advice criminal minded members of the forum to be mindful of what they share on the forum so they won't be fished out if they are caught committing any crime, then I don't know how useful this information is to member of the forum expecially members of the local board. Securing and ensuring that our information isn't leaked should be so that others don't use It against us. It's never a defense mechanism that we should adopt just because we are fraudulent.

Re: [ALERT] Pace of P2P Scam on Exchanges is Increasing Part 2
by

The money may be small anyway, but this is how I would have been ripped off of #724 on p2p
The money is not small at all. If he succedes in getting that amount from you, here's going to try it with more people and that will eventually add up to something that's very big. A reputable vendor before setting his as should already have the amount that's to be used for the payment, if for any reason the amount isn't available or went short for whatever reason, the most honourable thing to do is to council the transaction and save himself from all the drama.

I just hope that any vendor that tries to be unnecessarily smart while doing P2P is reported and given negative trust so People can avoid such vendor because if allowed, they will continue to fill the space and overtime make it hard to identify which vendor is a scammer and which is not.

Re: No one at the atm stand is your friend
by

on 18/07/2025, 14:28:51 UTC
Let’s be very careful while at the atm stand, not everybody seen at the atm machines want to widraw money some came for there fraudulent activities, don't call anybody to assist you except the security personnel working in the banks.
this kind of thing can only happen to an elderly person that does not know how the banking system works, and it is even a curse for you to dope an elderly person who you are supposed to be helping. anyone that does that might never live long enough to be as old as the woman he has dopped. even though people have stopped going to the ATM stand to make withdrawal because of the use of POS machine, at the time the ATM point was very predominant, it is not a strange thing that new users of the ATM machine sometimes ask questions on how to do one or two, for those kinds of persons, not asking question by itself won't do them any good.

if not that people are becoming too heartless, there is nothing wrong rendering help or requesting for help from people even when it relates to your account.

Re: want to know btc in the future.....
by
Marvelockg
on 18/07/2025, 13:56:37 UTC

However, I'd like to know if there will be BTC miners once the supply is fully mined, and will the fees for sending from wallets to exchanges be high? I also wonder if the price fluctuations will be similar to the current bearish and bullish market. Currently, BTC is widely traded, buying at a low price and selling at a high price. But will BTC trading be possible in the future, similar to daily trading? I think this is worth discussing... Smiley
However, the quantity in circulation is enough to keep the daily market moving through trading. The difference is that transaction fees will be high and bitcoin price will be expensive.
the daily market itself is one factor that stands to keep bitcoin moving for as long as possible. everyday both at the present and in the future, people continue to buy bitcoin and also sell bitcoin. that alone apart from the angle of mining of bitcoin stands to keep bitcoin moving regardless of how soon the total amount of bitcoin in circulation will be completely mined. the future of bitcoin is not going to rely only on the effect that miners have on bitcoin, the rate of adoption of bitcoin as well as how bitcoin is able to go mainstream with time is going to be the real determining factor that will determine what the future of bitcoin will be like.

Re: Government should start paying attention to fast cars
by
Marvelockg
on 18/07/2025, 13:43:06 UTC
Yes there are speed limit laws but it seem that is not enough using the accident record. I propose there should be a law on the usage of fast cars, the only requirement to own one is your drivers license and your money.
is it the duty of the government to regulate the way people drive in their cars even when they have seen the dangers of over speeding? people just like to go for luxury at the expense of their safety and when accident happens in the process, they put the blame on the government or car producing company when they are the ones that used their hand to buy those cars and even drives at that speed.

the main thing about fast cars should be that the engineers that produce them ought to improve on the safety system that is attached to such cars such that in the event that accident is about to happen, the extent of casualty will be reduced to a large extent. but in the end, the responsibility lies in the hand of the driver of that vehicle to know that by driving on a high speed, you are endangering yourself first before endangering the life of others.

Re: Drinking vs Gambling
by
Marvelockg
on 17/07/2025, 06:33:35 UTC
When you have the larger percentage of people doing a particular thing, what narrative do you think they will hold about such thing? They will generally be relaxed regarding the way they look at the negative effect of engaging in such thing because they are also involved in it.

At soccer centres, people drink alcohol. At clubs and literally everywhere, People drink alcohol and the result of getting drunk always leads to a worse situation that mostly result in death but the stereotype on alcohol isn't as strong as that which is placed on gambling. The reason for this is unclear because the effect of gambling addiction only affects the person that's addicted while for that of drinking of alcohol, it affects not just the person that drinks it but others since a drink can cause harm to anyone and anything around him.

Alcohol is even as addictive as gambling and can also eat one up financially same way gambling addiction can eat one up financially.

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN TO CRYPTOCURRENCY OVER THE NEXT DECADE
by
Marvelockg
on 17/07/2025, 06:23:18 UTC
You've made two major statement that are completely false and far from what will play out in the future or decades to come. The first is the assumption that crypto will replace fiat and the second is your believe that bitcoin will go down to the zero point in the next decade. Fact is that those kind of assumption are too extreme and even though we can't be too certain of what will play out in the future, it's obviously that crypto cannot completely replace fiat neither will bitcoin go completely extent while crypto remains.

It would have made more sense if you are particular about a coin you think will continue booming while bitcoin goes extinct. That bitcoin has continued to move a bit slow doesn't mean that it's going to with time go extinct. The direction it's going at is upwards so what we ought to even consider should be that in the next couple of years, bitcoin would have surged really high and not the reverse where you think it's going into extinction. I don't even see that kind of thing ever happening.

Re: Can Bitcoin kill other crypto?
by
Marvelockg
on 17/07/2025, 06:07:01 UTC
When you start to do the comparison between bitcoin and altcoins or even meme coin, it just looks like a big slap on the face of bitcoin considering that there is no justifiable reason why such comparison should be allowed to fly in the first place. Is bitcoin in any way a threat to any other crypto? The answer to that is absolutely NO. bitcoin stands independent of any other coin and crypto and that is what has kept it moving even when other crypto and meme coin comes and goes.

Bitcoin is a boss on it own and it relevance is one that's not backed up by whatever manor thing that's happening in the crypto space. Altcoins might spring up and die but bitcoin will continue to grow and become better tike after time.
