Re: 2024 PBA Governor's Cup

I’d say take that -7.5 early because there’s a good chance it goes up to -10.5 before tipoff.

There’s definitely a possibility as we’ve seen it go that high before.
But honestly, expecting a Game 7 against an already injured team feels like too much. I think the series ends tomorrow. It’s a Friday, people are free to watch, perfect timing for a celebration. If the refs didn’t interfere in Game 5, SMB could’ve finished it already. But since they seemed to control the flow of the game, maybe it was extended to Game 6 so the league could earn more. Wouldn’t be surprised.

Good luck, everyone. This SMB spread feels like a sure win.

This isn’t new for us who have been here in the market quite longer, but for newbies who are still in the exploration stage, this may seem very interesting for them most especially that they want to easily build their career in this crypto market.

Truth is, there is no shortcuts in the forum, there is no easy access to gain success in the crypto market. You have to start in a scratch and slowly build your career in the forum. If you’re patient, you will follow the pattern, but if you’re totally greedy the whole time, you will find easy access and will easily fall on traps like this.

I guess this won’t work for me, or maybe in majority. People are born greedy, especially for a highly profitable coin like bitcoin. Once the price increase, for sure it creates a new urge to sell our coins. If you are not patient, you will be easily get influenced by others who want to sell off, and eventually lose your future profits.

What’s work for me is actually my sincerity with my bitcoin investment. I invested because I want to prepare for my retirement, because I want to gain financial stability in the future, and because I want to create positive changes in my life, thus having all these reasons then I know I should always stick to my goal and hold bitcoin patiently no matter what. But of course, I also take time selling a portion of my bitcoin if there is emergency case suddenly arise especially if I have no available fiat at the moment.

Now that the government has already taken some action to eliminate this kind of activity, they are now complaining.
They really have no reason to complain. From the start, they already knew it was against community guidelines to promote something illegal. They made money from it, so now they should face the consequences.

What they did made gambling even riskier for the public, especially since unlicensed platforms aren’t regulated, meaning the government can’t do much about them. and with how often these things are promoted, even people who aren’t supposed to see it, like minors, end up getting exposed. We all know how emotionally vulnerable young people can be, so it’s a serious issue.

That's the crazy thing gambling, winning makes you think that you are invincible ---

I don’t really feel that way anymore, maybe back when I was still new or didn’t fully understand how gambling works, I’d get so hyped after a big win. But now, being someone who’s experienced both a lot of wins and even more losses, I already get it, most of us are bound to lose in the long run.

A win is still something to celebrate, sure, but it shouldn’t make us forget the reality of how gambling really works, no matter what type of game it is.

TNT's handicap went as high as +11.5 before game time, which makes sense since Poy Erram was ruled out and a lot of bettors were probably hammering SMB to close the series tonight.

But what we’re seeing so far is the opposite,TNT is actually leading by double digits and might even finish the half with that lead.

Still, the real turning point is the second half. That’s usually where SMB starts taking over, so we’ll see if it plays out the same way again.

Re: Studying different sports develops your betting mind.

I love betting and of course I hope to win, that’s why I only study the games I actually enjoy. I don’t follow too many sports, just a few that I really like, so I can focus and improve my skills.

Even before I got into sports betting, I already had a favorite sport, and up to now that’s still the one I stick with when placing bets. I think most of us here are the same, we don’t bet on a lot of sports, not because we don’t have time, but because it’s our passion for that one sport that brought us into betting. It just adds more excitement when we’re watching.

It’s time for Game 5 betting, and as usual, the line opened at -5.5.

Thanks for the early update. No reason not to take this, SMB has covered the spread in the last 3 games.

That said, I don’t think the line will move up. It’s a do-or-die game for TNT, so I’m guessing a lot of bettors will put money on them too, that could pull the line down. I’m expecting it to close around -3.5 for SMB. Still, I think SMB will finish the series. So just wait a bit, we might get a better line before tip-off.

Nothing that TNT can do about it, Cruz thinks that he can do everything he wants since he and the rest of the Beermen really playing so well, and regarding to that action or emotion that coach Chot shows up, I agree that it's unprofessional and not only that, Team manager Jolas also showing dissapointment not only with Cruz but also with Ross that's also unprofessional,

they need to accept that the enjoyment of their opponents doesn't mean that they need to take it personally, there's always time to play well and they've got their excuses their not in full force as surely if Nambatac and Castro are playing the chance is much better for them..

They have to realize that without Cruz and his antics, the game wouldn’t be as entertaining. Even if it seems like a mismatch, the crowd’s still there watching, and that says a lot. TNT was going for the grand slam, but injuries got in the way. It’s all good if they don’t get it this time. They can bounce back when everyone’s healthy again.

You should already be thankful you hit that kind of high multiplier as not everyone gets to experience that. When I play slots, I usually just bet small since I know it’s mostly just luck, and chances are I’m just wasting money. Even if I get lucky, I don’t expect to win big. I gotta say, you’re a risk taker.

whatever you're feeling right now, you’ll get used to it. That’s just how gambling is, more losses than wins.
So when the losing streaks come, it shouldn’t really surprise us anymore.

Re: [Boxing] Mario Barrios vs Manny Pacquiao WBC Welterweight Title - July 19
by

on 20/07/2025, 14:58:12 UTC
Manny could have set another record if the judges had made the correct verdict.
Check these experts and boxers who think Manny dominated the fight.

“He Won!” Pros RIP into Judges After Pacquiao vs. Barrios Majority Draw!

Maybe it’s just not Manny’s time yet. The best record he could still break is being the oldest champion in boxing. Bernard Hopkins was 49 when he did it, different division but who knows, maybe Manny can come back at 50 for one more title fight.

But honestly, I also thought Manny won, I mean, maybe I’m a bit biased since I bet on him, but that’s really how I saw the fight. And after watching the video you shared, it just confirms I wasn’t being biased at all.

Congrats to all the SMB takers!

Another 4th quarter collapse by TNT, after leading by 3 entering the 4th, they got outscored 41-24. Their 3-point shooting couldn’t save them either, it was mostly just Heading doing the damage. Now the series is 3-1 in favor of SMB.

Next game is this coming Wednesday, and I think SMB closes it out right there.

Also, before the game started, it was announced that JMF won Best Player of the Conference. Another milestone for him. And honestly, this one’s basically already added to his championship count, can’t see TNT pulling off a comeback from here.

Re: 1 Million Enough?
by

on 19/07/2025, 21:04:17 UTC
Thinking alot and is really affecting me because I don't actually all the resources need to market the trading but then am reasoning between physical business or BTC trading which 1 million naira capital will fits in for better returns after a while. The question is will 1 Million naira make good results in btc trades now, or investment of btc?
1 million Naira will definitely work if you are a skilled and successful trader, but for a beginner like you who doesn’t even have reliable experiences yet, most likely you will only lose all your hard-earned money in the long run.

If I were you, prioritize bitcoin long term investment than trading, and invest as well into your physical business that you think will suit your skills and interest, but definitely invest an amount that you are comfortable to lose. In the end, if both of your investments work, then you will have multiple profits that will certainly make you a highly profitable one.

Trading can wait. Just start trading when you have build your skills and confidence, and you think you’ll not mess up with your hard-earned funds.

Re: Can AI really predict the outcome of a sports match?
by
Maslate
on 19/07/2025, 12:38:20 UTC
Nothing is guarantee when we deal into gambling even how smart AI was, there are instances that may affect the outcome of the game, though you can use their assumptions and if you know the game and all the players that involves you may gather good analysis and use it to predict the potential outcome, and then again, there's no sure bet as even you don't use anythng but luck permits you to win then the outcome will be at your side.

With or without AI, there’s really no guarantee we’re gonna win in gambling, it’s just not built that way. We gamblers have always been trying to beat a system that we don’t even have the edge on. Even if we think using AI will help us win, we gotta remember, casinos and sportsbooks also have their own AI too. They’re using it to protect their side, to make sure we don’t beat them in the long run. That’s just the more realistic way to look at it, in my opinion.

Re: Crypto Betting vs FIAT Betting
by
Maslate
on 19/07/2025, 11:42:00 UTC
FIAT Betting platforms have long struggled with large dependency on payment solutions, trading solutions etc - which just makes the business expensive to expand - destroying the market for multiple sports betting tech organizations who have monopolized the industry.
These casinos know what they’re doing. They understand the state of their business, and if they see crypto betting gaining traction and pulling in clients, they won’t just sit back. They can easily launch their own crypto-friendly platform too.

It’s simple, if you can’t beat them, join them. That’s exactly what most platforms are doing now. By offering both crypto and fiat betting, they’re able to tap into both markets and stay ahead in the game.

Re: 2025 NBA Season
by

It would be absolutely fantastic to see Dončić and Jokić playing in the same team. They would be a big contender for the championship. But I don't see any reason for the Lakers to let Dončić go. I also don't think the Nuggets have enough pieces for doing such a trade. This rumor doesn't seem very realistic to me. Of course, anything can happen in the NBA. Considering how Luka left the Mavs, you can't rule anything out.

Luka will probably stay with the Lakers. He’s a big draw, and the team makes more money when he’s playing alongside LeBron. I think the Mavs have already moved on, they’ve got a new roster now and even landed the first pick. Who knows, maybe that guy ends up becoming the new face of the Mavericks. Just imagine how dominant they’ll be in the paint with Davis and the other bigs. It’s going to be huge if they can also lock down the perimeter on defense.

Re: point spread + total bet.

I'd rather recommend the safer alternative, which is called teasers, but unfortunately, they're not available in any of the crypto sportsbooks that i've been using.

I’ve noticed that too, a lot of sportsbooks no longer offer some of those niche markets that used to be fun to bet on. Makes you wonder, right? Maybe it’s because too many sharp bettors were actually winning on them. Bookies aren't in this game to lose, so if a market gives bettors even a slight edge or has a higher-than-expected win rate, they’ll quietly remove it or limit it. Instead, they’ll keep pushing the markets where the house has a edge and where casual bettors tend to lose more over time.

Your experience may provide a helpful tip for beginner traders, but never expect that what works for you, it will also be effective for others. Different traders come with different experiences and challenges so even if they master what you have shared OP, still there are inevitable losses that are hard to overcome.

My point here, don’t convince newbies to suicide in trading. Let them do trading when it’s the right timing to start trading, because no matter how successful you are as a trader, that will only motivate them to trade but I don’t think beginners are good enough to risk with trading.

Re: Can Bitcoin kill other crypto?
by
Maslate
on 18/07/2025, 21:26:22 UTC
Altcoins are the duplicate of bitcoin so, what do you expect, they will fade away over time, because their purpose of creation wasn't to help solve any problem which bitcoin cannot solve, but to use it as a means to extort people's funds. This is why shitcoins cannot increase in value, because investors are saving the value of their fiat currency by putting it into bitcoin investment.

Only gamblers, and people who don't care about their financial well-being of their future will invest in altcoins. One same person create a shitcoin and after dumping the project, he waits for a while and create a new project with a different name entirely but with the same intention to scam the public again. Bitcoin is decentralized and unique.
However, there are still few potential altcoins that we have seen they are growing their value, but still compared to bitcoin, these altcoins are just duplicates, they or they may not still succeed in the end and reach their peak prices. While bitcoin, which dominates the whole crypto market will always gain a greater advantage, and it actually shows on its current price achievement.

So this isn’t surprising why bitcoin is slowly putting altcoins into their death throne. Or let’s just say, since altcoins have no real utility case and demand, eventually their value will definitely vanish one day.

Re: what is your biggest bet in BTC?
by
Maslate
on 18/07/2025, 12:14:52 UTC
When I start betting, it was a local bookmaker I used and they don't accept deposit in crypto, just in fait which was our local currency via bank app transfer or card debit. I started using crypto casinos and bookies few years ago and I doubt I have spent more than $20 worth of Bitcoin to gamble, the truth is that I prefer to deposit USDt than Bitcoin.

That’s understandable since you only registered in 2022. Back in 2017, it was mostly just Bitcoin being used for gambling, super popular at that time. Then later on, casinos started accepting altcoins, but only major ones like Ethereum. Bitcoin wasn't even that expensive before the 2017 bull run. I think around 2016, it was just $500 or so. So if you're really into gambling and could afford it back then, 1 BTC didn’t feel like a big deal.
