If such info is on the newspapers, they most probably already filled their bags and now started planting the news so the price grows nicely.

You need only CPU, preferably not from a laptop. And you need either free electricity, either a good hearth, because CPU mining usually is unprofitable. It is probably good start for learning though.

When I borrow, I usually borrow for long terms. And then why would I borrow crypto, which on long term should increase in value, when I can borrow in fiat, which value decreases in time? So no, I don't borrow crypto, it's bad business.

When's next Monero fork? Do I have any chance to snatch anything meaningful in the first week of mining with the CPU?
Messaged you and, since you requested a reply in this thread, here it is.

Re: Why I Don't Do Bounty Campaigns & Why You Shouldn't Either

If the bounty you chose is fair, it will pay and will do it in a token that gets listed. That's your part, to choose fair bounties. Then the token you receive... is a lottery. Some rise, some fall, you cannot know. You will have to have some trader skills, I guess.
I hope that LN will get a boom. A wide use. Then we can start using for real Bitcoin as a payment method. And I think that it's enough that even some web wallet providers offer LN channels and some bold merchants do the same.

Depending on the token you can try DEx approach. Waves used to have in-wallet access to its DEx. There is a fee there too, but usually it's small enough and also no minimum deposit. You really expect established exchanges list all and every coin and token and do it for free?! They use resources for each new coin and a business will not run without some profit...
In addition, people hope that the SEC can approve the VanEck Bitcoin ETF at the next hearing on February 27, 2019. All of this news has a positive impact on Bitcoin.
You forgot about Bakkt, scheduled for January 24. It could also have a positive impact.
But in reality, nobody knows what's going to happen. Maybe nothing, maybe 1k, maybe 10k, maybe 100k.
I also receive the daily www.cryptocompare.com newsletter, which gives a view on the BTC and ETH price action, combined with 3 news articles and other crypto price statistics over the last 24 hours. You can opt in to receive their newsletter after making an account on their site.
www.cryptocompare.com looks useful, thanks for that. And why the ref link for unbankd.co? Is there any benefit?

I am also interested. Do I have any chance for such a beauty?
Does it work with standard USB voltage or it needs something special/more?

It's too late for me to compete, right?
Still.. Happy Halloween and Happy Bitcoin Whitepaper day!
Post useful things. Don't answer the same answers others did. Don't ask what you can easily search on the internet. Ah, and again, post useful things, mostly answers.
I want to ask you according to personal experience and analysis. Will bitcoin be able to rise above $ 10,000 by the end of 2018?
Nobody can predict. The only "experience" is the MtGox bubble and the 2017 bubble. After MtGox popped there were years until the next growth, which in another year or so has turned into a new bubble. But this means nothing. One day is not necessarily like another day from the past.

Re: Are all the bounties coming out right now garbage?
Looks like the days of grabbing a bunch of ICO's and hoping for the best is over. There is way to much garbage out there right now.
This is a perfect overview on the current state. There's too much potential money in crypto sphere and more and more want to get some of that money. Fewer and fewer will be the ones actually well intended. Keep your eyes open, boys and girls!

People jump in for bounties without any basic verification on the underlying projects, teams and bounty managers. Then they cry they've got scammed.
Also giving out your documents to completely unknown people for a few dollars is not a good business.

After Mt Gox it has fallen from 1200 to 200. So in theory now, after 20000 it could continue to drop to 3333. In reality 6000 looks very hard to beat. And since it's autumn, maybe it actually start to rise....
