How many upvotes should I initially buy for a single post? I'm worried that it might attract suspicion if my posts get 100 upvotes just within a few minutes?!

If having your posts upvoted meant you could get banned, then anyone on Reddit could easily get banned.

Re: Investment in ICO
by

The problem right now is that the number of legit projects are overwhelmed by the fake ones. This scenario gives a bad image to the whole ICO industry, creating a stigma to investors that all of the projects are scam or will just turn out as scam. Plus the fact that I think most of the review site out there is corrupted, they tend to give a good review for the right price. There's a new upcoming platform would like to counteract on this things they are called menlo.one I hope they will not turnout as one of them.

I thought this project had already launched last month. What's causing the delay? Was there an announcement about it?

I think KYC verification is inevitable we will have to accept that kind of things in order for cryptocurrency to move forward. There are ways though to mitigate fraud and fear on giving our information, it is by ensuring that the site we will be submitting our info with is safe and secure. Also there are platform right now that handles KYC verifications, wherein you can have your information encrypted on their platform and submit it to any sites you'de like to participate with, one example of them is menlo.one.

Sounds like a brilliant way to keep your information safe especially when risking your money and identification on shady but promising projects.. When is Menlo One going live? Looks like it's not yet fully functional at this time.

Re: Token price fall after ICO

This happens very often my friend.Just someone who cleverly manipulate prices.I never advise anyone to sell coins immediately after receiving. There are of course exceptions but let them remain an exception

I think this is the result of false hope and pure hype. newbie investors often get tricked since they (we) don't have much experience to go by in comparing ICOs and doing proper research. Hopefully this announcement about a new ICO marketplace called Menlo.one will really help us tell the difference between good ICOs and those that we need to avoid.

Is it a good time to buy Ethereum now? I'm afraid that it will rise again soon and I'm trying to save up to buy an ICO this mid July.. Is it worth the risk?

Also, I'm saving up to buy MET (Menlo Tokens) for an ICO platform which they say will be an all-in-one marketplace for ICOs. Anyone heard of Menlo One and the devs behind it? Need some guidance if I should buy Eth and invest in MET when it launches? Here's a link to a youtube interview video with Menlo's CEO to give you an idea as to what this platform is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o Sounds pretty neat but I want to make sure that this not all hype.

I like KoreanJew and know him for not being biased so I'm investing some funds in Menlo but just an amount I'm willing to lose. Still waiting for other respected figures to jump in and give their own take on Menlo. Perhaps Andreas Antonopoulos? lol

ETH is definitely on top of my list since it's basically an all around coin from micro transactions to smart contracts. Also, there's one token that I believe will change the way we choose and invest in ICOs forever. MET (Menlo Token) is launching its token sale this mid July and I was really amazed by Koreanjew's interview with their CEO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o. Anyone heard of their team and is this a good project with potential mass adoption??

Re: [PAYBEAR] Crypto Payments Service
by

More and more merchants prefer crypto payments. With the DAI stable coin integrated into Paybear's system, I'm sure that merchants will flood in and make Paybear their primary gateway especially since it minimizes risk in terms of having to deal with the crypto market's volatility.

I checked Paybear's site and it still doesn't seem to support DAI at this time. Have they announced a date  as to when they might have it integrated?

money money

I'd rather use my money to buy Bitcoin rather than spend a ridiculous amount on mining rigs while returns aren't that great unless you have an entire farm.

No it won't happen, and I wouldn't want every little thing I buy to be trackable on a blockchain either to be honest.

It might not happen at this time, but several generations from now, I'm sure that things will be even more digitized with the advancement of technology and all..

Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable?
by

I think that the reason why a lot of people avoid using Bitcoin for transactions is precisely because its price is highly unstable. Should it somehow stabilize, then I hope that lightning will already be live by then since millions will be using Bitcoin for payments.

Yes, I agree that trading can still be multitasked with a full-time job. That way, you will still have a job to fall-back to in case things go south with the crypto market.

@TS I would prefer just holding my Bitcoin in my wallet instead of going through an exchange. This helps you avoid the risks of getting scammed, high transfer fees, slow transfer time, etc...

Check the news, make a trading/investing plan, manage your losses strictly. If you follow your own plan and don't need to rely on other people's decisions, then your funds will probably be safe.

Re: Why bitcoin is decreasing??
by
Mehdecline
on 05/02/2018, 14:12:41 UTC
I think there are a couple of reasons why Bitcoin keeps decreasing nowadays.

Reason #1:
Banks and credit card issuers are starting to ban holders from purchasing cryptocurrencies using their own cards. It includes Lloyd's, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Discover and so on. Expect that the other ones will follow suit and there is no doubt that BTC will keep declining for possibly another rough week for us.

Reason #2:
The Republic of China is starting to implement "The Great Firewall" to block Bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchange sites from their country. Crypto ads are already removed from China's main search engine, Baidu, and other platforms.

I'm not worried because I keep my options open by building more assets through airdrops and bounty programs and classify them to short, mid and long-term. On top of that, I still keep my freelance gig that I'm earning consistent Paypal fiat money. Cheesy

This really isn't good news for Bitcoin at all which is obviously why investors exited as soon as they could to keep whatever is left of their capital/profits safe.

Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry?

A liter of gas costs around $1+ while a kilowatt of electricity costs only around 20 cents? not to mention the possibility of solar powered cars. This will disrupt the oil industry greatly.

Re: When do you predict coins will be stable again?
by
Mehdecline
on 28/01/2018, 17:24:11 UTC
I have no idea what "stability" are you talking about. This is crypto! It's super unstable, one of the most unstable markets to ever exist.
It crashes and moons every single month
The only way for it to become stable is to grow x10 or even x100 so when everyone start using bitcoin. This way it becomes stable

Couldn't agree more. The lower the market cap, the easier it is for whales  or big funds to move prices up or down. Furthermore, crypto is unregulated and uninsured, it's very risky and volatile. There is no such thing as stability here and people like to take the risk.
