Would you write a review for your favorite mining software?
by
MinerPath
on 21/01/2024, 20:06:33 UTC
Hey all, hope you're doing well Smiley

I just implemented a simple review system on my website that lists around 30 of the most used mining software apps.

If you're a miner yourself, would you mind leaving a short review on the software you use or have tried?

Also, if there's a software I didn't cover but you believe it should be on my lists, please drop me a note Smiley

KS3 is the most profitable ASIC machine out there at the moment:

But of course, it depends on your electricity price, and for how much you can buy it.

Re: GAMING PC AND MINING?

Hey everybody
is it a wise idea to use my gaming pc for mining?
i am thinking of buying a mining rig but i want to wait till August and you all know the reason
and in the meantime i am thinking of using my PC for mining for a few months
i have a GeForce 1050 TI using nicehash for mining
any ideas for coins/pools or solo mining are welcome
Well, torture your video card for 20 cents of profit per day.
https://whattomine.com/gpus/31-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-ti?cost=0.05&cost_currency=USD
If you are learning how to set up mining software, then use this opportunity for August.

Well, earning and mining don't necessarily go together. Wink Why demotivate someone if he wants to learn more...

If someone gives you free access to mine in their garage for a year with zero electricity fee that doesn't mean you should start mining any coin you feel like you should hold, the best thing to do is mine the most profitable coin at the moment, sell it for other coins you want to hold for the long term.

This is true.

But if the question is which 2 coins to invest in, those would probably be CHZ and ICP. Although SOL and HNT look very promising as well. And ENS Cheesy

Using the hardware you already have for mining is always a good idea in my opinion.

Yes, 1050Ti probably won't make you more than $10-15 per month, but you will learn how to mine with various apps and/or on various pools.

And if you invest those $10-15 per month smart, within two years you may have $300-400, which if invested properly may turn to $3000-4000(we all know why in 2 years Tongue).

Re: Shortest payment time coins/pools
by
MinerPath

A pool of aion (aionmine) says to pay within one hour upon reaching the minimum which is 1 aion, for what concerns eth i only know of binance and kucoin that pay daily regardless of the amount of eth mined
Ok, so if i start mining on a Binance wallet and with a Binance pool, will i get rewarded daily without paying higher fees, compared to another wallet using Hiveon pool that rewards for every 0,2eth mined without any fee?

There are no fees every day at midnight what you mined on the binance pool is transferred to your mining wallet from where you can move them to your spot wallet (binance) also without fee
I changed the mining pool yesterday and the rig is mining.
I configured the Binance smart pool into my HiveOs, but i didn't created a mining account in the Binance pool and so i didn't wrote an user name and a password within my HiveOs flight sheet.
I have only created a new Binance wallet with my Binance ETH wallet public key and i think this should be enough, right?
The problem is that the rig is mining from yesterday and i have not seen any earn into my Binance wallet yet.

I don't think it's enough to add your ETH Binance address.

You should use the Worker name from the Binance mining account, and your stats should come in quickly(usually within 10 minutes).

Re: How is that laptop mining journey so far?
by
MinerPath
on 08/03/2022, 20:39:41 UTC
A laptop won't get you far, but you can mine with some desktop apps that have the option of mining only when there's no usage of your laptop(in idle mode).

Here's a list of such applications: https://telegra.ph/Cryptocurrency-Mining-Software-List-03-08

Even with modern/expensive laptops, it's not worth mining with them unless you mine something you think will rise up in the future.

If you're considering what to buy yet, and want to mine, go with a desktop configuration for the same buck.

Simple Crypto Shortcodes - WordPress plugin
by
MinerPath
on 14/09/2021, 17:42:03 UTC
Hi guys Smiley

I'm a crypto enthusiast, but also a freelance WP developer.

While working on one of my WP projects, I needed to pull Bitcoin and Ethereum prices and show them on a website.

Since I know there are many crypto and Bitcoin bloggers who use WordPress, I've decided to expand this code into a standalone plugin, and offer it for free on the WP plugin repository.

https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-crypto-shortcodes/

The plugin uses the CoinMarketCap API and can be used to display various data of 11k+ coins on your website.

Among others, this plugin provides shortcodes for getting a price, volume, the percentage change in various timeframes, market cap of the coin...

Since the free API key of CoinMarketCap isn't limitless(~333 requests per day), I've also implemented a caching feature to preserve the API calls.

By writing this post, I wanted to share the plugin with you(officially released today), and also hear your comments and suggestions, as I believe this plugin will be useful to many and would like to improve and extend it over time.

Re: Which coin I can mine with 2GB GPU ?
by

on 08/06/2021, 13:58:07 UTC
If you want to mine with your old 2GB card, I can suggest you take a look at these mining apps:
https://bitcoinminingsoftware.com/windows/

Each one of them supports various coins and algorithms so you can test them all and see which one gives you the best profitability.

And of course, keep in mind that profitability changes with the market, so you can also mine something that doesn't seem profitable right now, but has potential and will bring you profit over time...

At this point it's rather hard to give a definitive conclusion on whether this coin is a scam or not, especially since they got listed on gate.io today:
https://twitter.com/safemoon/status/1385547100461666306?s=20

To be 100% honest, I've already made some profit with SafeMoon by buying it almost week ago, but it's absolutely not to be taken other than with a small sum and for the purpose of speculation.

Here I wrote about what I found as well how those interested can get involved(along with a few disclaimers Tongue):

Re: What Coins with GPU Mining and no ASIC Competitors available ?
by
MinerPath
on 10/01/2021, 12:27:02 UTC
Better to use whattomine.com then a web page that doesnt bother to consider power in roi.  plus a lot of the info on that page is old 2019..is a long time ago in crypto.  And the prices are comical...as if you could touch a 3070 for $570....bwhahhaha....not for a while you wont....

Whattomine.com is great and yes, the article from above doesn't count in the electricity price, which should definitely be taken into account.

But, the page itself is up to date(those profits are from yesterday).

And the prices aren't comical- probably depends on where you live but here you can buy NVIDIA RTX 3070 for $800 right now, new and with 3 years of warranty. Have no idea where you got $570...

Re: What Coins with GPU Mining and no ASIC Competitors available ?

Are there any coins which I can farm with my GPUs (RX580) where there aren’t any ASIC Miner competitors?
Other question, except ETH, what coins are currently worth to be farmed for the next BTC rally?

RX580 seems among top ROI GPUs right now:
https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/crypto-mining-earnings-are-through-the-roof/#A_breakdown_from_mining_industry_leaders

and ASICs doesn't seem to make problems to it.

You can use RX580 to mine ETH, EXP, UBQ, GRIN, RVN or BEAM, among others Smiley

When it comes to what coin to mine for the next BTC rally, keep in mind that BTC and ETH already grew 1000% over the last 9 months.

So the rally could be over already(similar to 2017 scenario).

But, if you own any GPUs at the moment, it would be a shame not utilizing them(you can mine coins you think will grow, or exchange to BTC, ETH or USDT to be safer and lock in mining profits).

Your cards are pretty outdated for mining, but since you're a newbie, I'd suggest you try some of the GUI mining solutions available: https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/windows/

Re: GPU Mining - What can we mine and what can't we mine
by
MinerPath

You should be able to mine most coins with those two cards, however, I would argue that you should mine most profitable coin at a given moment, as that will maximize your ROI in a safe way. Another way is to speculate and mine based on a coin future potential, but it's a risky choice...

If interested in mining the most profitable coin at any given moment, I recommend either Kryptex: https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/kryptex/ or Cudo Miner: https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/cudo-miner/

There are quite a few more that you may like to test, but those two are working best for most of the people I know.

Re: Is the new cryptocurrency PI Network another scam or legit?
by
MinerPath

I published a text on PI fairly recently: https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/pi-cryptocurrency-mining-from-your-phone-dont-be-left-behind-again/

In my view it's clear- since you don't pay with anything, there's no hurt in testing it. Only thing you need to do is click the "mine" button once a day.

Will that work and does it actually make any sense? Hard to tell at this point, but as long as it costs you zero, I don't see why not try it.

Re: What are options to mine a profitable crypto on my computer.
by
MinerPath
on 26/07/2020, 06:55:04 UTC
Mining with laptop or mobile phone isn't recommended for years now.

If you have at least a desktop computer with at least one GPU, you can try mining the most profitable coins at the moment, that will be exchanged to Bitcoin for you:

https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/windows/
https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/linux/

For phone, you can't(or more precisely shouldn't) mine anything in the traditional sense, however, I'm keeping an eye on PI Network, which takes zero investment and may prove to be worth anything once it gets up on the exchanges:
