But I think bitcoin soon will not be able to be buyer by anyone
Why do you think so? Darknet and betting sites is still around and look at the market cap. Also see the grafs, we are going stronger and stronger brother.

Cheers,
Best Regards,

If miners stop mining there there will be no one to confirm the transasction, all will be unconfirmed and pending then people will start to panic and avoid Bitcoin.  Supporters will then be haters and worst everyone will look at other cryptocurrency that performs better than Bitcoin and leave Bitcoin without support.  So Bitcoin will die if miners stop mining it and make the network idle.
It can still be picked up right? It can be unactive, but not dead?

Holding Bitcoins in fact means having an open market position - value of your wallet strictly depends on market fluctuations. While I think, that saving some BTC for long term is quite reasonable, it's still risky and our predictions about going to the moon are just bagholders wishes Wink
Those who lives will see for sure. We all just need to have trust in BTC. If people keeps the trust we will continue to grow, no doubt.

Re: When will we see $1300 again?
by
Minimii
on 14/03/2017, 22:15:33 UTC
I think for some period price will remain in this range as Bitcoin has entered in correction phase. Just look at the price floating which is between 1200-1280 tells many thing by itself. In my opinion seeing 1300$ is not big deal but we will see first more stable floor before next rally.
The price is hovering around $1250 and it could reach those levels pretty soon if the support continues to be like this and you have to remember that there is a strong resistance at $1300 and if it breaches expect a small correction once again like we saw last time.
If some big brand media picks it up with a headline we will surely easy grow to 1300-1400 without a doubt. Just hang on guys. It's all about trust. If we trust, and people will trust, we will grow, simple as that.

In my opinion we have only been getting more strenght than ever after all that has happen during bitcoins time. China, Mtgox, all other thefts etc. And look where we are, ATH after all these "crisis" which ended up not being a crisis for BTC. Just keep the trust and make other people interested and we will see a growth that we haven't seen yet.

Just my point of you though. You make your own speculations.

It's all about speculations in the end, as we never know when the whales drops their coins or when a new persons invest a ton of coins without our knowledge.

However, follow forums, media, and the grafs can make a bit of clues. Other than that, all is speculations. Smiley

Thread is growing quick, really interesting competition.

The one that will win will probably be the one who goes for the 11.11, 22.22 - 99.99 hits. With at least 1000 satoshis bets. Keep the spirit up guys.

Exciting :-)

How often is the spreadsheet updated? Figured it is automatic but how often?

Best Regards,
Tratten.

Spreadsheet is refreshing every hour. But we are doing uncached runs, which means that some of the stats won't update immediately, like message points and wager points, only new bonus points or new users are added first, so it can be that a delay of 8-10 hours happens if you reach for example another 1000 messages and the points for that have to be increased by one.
Alright, thanks for clarification.

I have added signature as Robear for example, still not got the points, therefor was a bit curious Smiley

Tratten.

very scary Grin

On the day no one uses bitcoin, you can say that bitcoin died

Bitcoins is growing at a very large pace, more and more people are using bitcoin so that in the future it will have a lot of value.

While bitcoin has acceptance by people it will not die.

But Bitcoin will not die. It may be unactive but can always be picked up again, right?

But what is the defenition of Bitcoin being dead? Just no miners and no buy or sell power? Who desides what the defenition are as it will always be available it's just up to us, the people.

It will never die in my defenition atleast.

What's your definition of bitcoin's death? I think the scenario where bitcoin dies is when there's no more people using it or there's very little amount of people that are interested in it. I don't think it will come to a time when there's no miner at all since a regular guy can use his computer to start mining bitcoins. Combining tons of regular guys will be the same power as a decent mining farm.

I think no buy/sell power means that no one's using bitcoins at all and that means that bitcoin has already dead and it's not a situation where bitcoin will die.
I buy your explanation, though in my opinion it can never die, it can just be unactive.

I can sell 1 bitcoin for $1160 to receive in paypal you're taking $58 dollars as commission. if I deposit $1200 with credit card I can only receive 0.8656BTC and the rest is gone with the extremely high fees. depositing with walmart gift card if amount is $1200 then I only receive 0.73077BTC and you can send me paypal but I can't in fact buy bitcoin using my paypal and as stated that you'll do that manually and only with trusted members then please be a trusted member first yourself so that I could accept paypal from you.

Just the fees and commissions are an alarming signs, TOS of paypal is against using bitcoin transactions as currency trade another alarming sign.
My incentive to use your services please, what would it be?
Thank you for your review. Those payment systems you have just mentioned are HIGH RISK payment systems. Those are average fees on the market. We are working on our trusted member level in the meantime. Also we have 10000+ feedback score on paxful/localbitcoins. On our website there lot of other payment directions with much lower fees, feel free to use them.
You mind stating the fee's here?

Thanks,

It's just a matter of hours now, the fact that we are holding strong above $1000 after the ETF is a huge bullish signal and shows the strenght of bitcoin, nothing can take it down now, too big to fail, so if it doesn't fail, it will keep going up.
Yeah well that's kind of a fact. If it continues it will just grow. - The more demand, the more profits Wink

I'm thinking that we will see that price again for the next months to come. And we will see $1,300 as flooring price and stable before and after this year ends. Remember when 2016 is ending most of us expected that the price will even reached to $1k+ and it happened. Each year bitcoin is increasing and showing us surprises.
It surely does. And I'm more than happy for that I must say Wink

Hopefully we will see $1500 before this year ends. Personally I surely think this will happen.

Keep speculate guys those who lives will see.

Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1?
by
Minimii
on 13/03/2017, 11:17:40 UTC
If satoshi is equivalent to $1 then most of people here will not work anymore. They can become rich on a very easy way by selling the bitcoins they've got. And I wish that this will happen very soon so that I can buy the things that I keep on dreaming on. Most of the bitcoin users will be rich enough and have a decent life to live.

You will be rich, I will be rich, mostly people from here  and few others. In this case current faucet prize at 200 satoshis per claim would be equivalent to 200 dollars in some moment in future. From this angle we cam became rich just from faucets.
Who knows when will this happen, price needs to be 100 millions for one btc, that even sounds impossible, but if that happen bitcoin code can be broken to more decimals, maybe we should try to create new name for new smallest bitcoin unit.

Basically all of us who are into bitcoin will become rich. Even there are a lot that aren't getting enough bitcoin / mBTC then most of us will be rich on the easiest and fastest way that way. I'm waiting for this day to happen and if that happens then there's no need to think about where we should get the money that we need to spend and buy our needs.
But do you really think it will happen? Kindly see my posts above.

Re: Bitcoin and Fraud

Assuming a merchant accept Bitcoin,

You as a shopper, place an order, and that merchant did not deliver, or sent to the wrong address, or sent a fake product.

You can not reverse the payment, you can get your bitcoins back, and the only thing you can do it leave a negative feedback.

Of course, there are many other scenarios, like phishing websites, fake websites, selective scams, and so on

What are your thoughts and ideas to prevent these scams.
There will always be people who stumbles upon a fraud. However as with all payments made to persons, do your reasearch.

Also, I'm sure there will come more and more companys who buys for you that meaning a 3rd party who makes your purchase (you pay a small fee for them doing so) but your initial payment is safed so if it's a scam it's the 3rd party that will lose on it, not you, well as long as the 3rd party is trusted of course. I wish it happens for an instant then I'll be a millionire in no time just like winning the lottery jackpot. No other altcoin can beat BTC, it would be more popular and the population would get bigger. Early adopters would be desperate on how to get a single satoshi.
logically it might not happen mate because you know get 1 satoshi is very easy thing right ?
surely everyone in the world would be rich if this happens?

Some people were utterly delighted in the past, when they managed to convince someone to sell them two pizzas for 10,000 Bitcoins.

Even a minimum wage employee could have bought tens of thousands of bitcoins per year, had they so desired.
Surely everyone in the western world would have become rich if that were the case....

Though these Bitcoins still exists so someone has prolly made some nice profits Wink

if all the governments of all the world joint hands together to banned bitcoins ,then only would bitcoin can come to an end.otherwise it is not gonna happen no where soon. because of its decentralization and no technology could beat because it is the first of its kind.
But even if all government makes it illegal they can not decide that it will die. We have darknet and as you mention it is decentralized, meaning no one can take full control over it, unless you buy up all the BTC's there is, see my post above about that.
