BitPop, are you stupid? Bumping this topic doesn't help you. It only helps them, because new users will see it and might even send their BTC.

65% of all purchases have originated from incoming traffic from this thread.

If they try any funny stuff I have the "founders" personal email, name, and talked to him on the phone. I found it very suspicious that they did not want me to "share" this information.

The area code the call I got from Mining United was 212-

Can someone confirm if this is really New York or not? area code 212-

Yes, you are correct.

The "Satoshi Dice" issue has already been addressed, we are not trying to hide anything. Scroll back in the thread to see our post regarding this. It was even stated in this thread by some users they wanted their payouts to go to "SD". This thread is going in circles and everything could be argued to infinite.

Last I checked bitcoin is still a VIRTUAL-currency am I right?  How do you get in legal trouble trading things that aren't even real money?

There is very serious legal trouble, which is why we have some of the best lawyers. We have to comply with government regulations, AML laws, etc.

I saw a few posts on Reddit about miningunited.com and that it was legit but I do not see how it is possible, he would be better off just mining? Does anyone else think this seems really fishy? I put a BTC.02 order in to see how it would go.  Smiley

EDIT: It seems MiningUnited.com is a legit website (so far!), the guy (or girl) who running it is very responsive and they seems to be doing a good thing for Bitcoin. I have gotten all of my payouts so far 5+ BTC worth over the last month. They even refunded my payment that I sent on accident from a "not supported wallet" (coinbase.com). I am weary of sites like this but I have had a very pleasant experience so far using the mining service they provide. +1 from me to miningunited.com!

Just noticed an edit from the original poster for this thread.

Well it's kinda like what people did with that gem game I guess.

We were expecting copies of our website, but not EXACT copies word-for-word. Anything that is successful is copied. This is why we were hesitant to providing too many details of how we EXACTLY do what we do.

There will be many copies of Mining United, some will be legit, some will be scams in the end - it is just how it is. We will not be able to stop copy sites, but can beat them by offering the best service, proven most trusted, first, customer support, etc.

I am seriously surprised no one has came forward saying 'I am Satoshi' in the news or something. With so many quacks out there, it would seem someone would want to try to get their 15 min of fame.

Should this new exchange take Litecoin and other Crypto Currencies?

One massive exchange medium for the major crypto currencies is an awesome idea. Just think if Mt.Gox picked up LiteCoin, millionaires over night.

MtGox, and its impact in bitcoins considering that it is still the only reference for its value in fiat currency.

It is scary to think that if Mt.Gox falls, it all comes tumbling down.

the price of bitcoins will need to rise to $50,000 a piece.

In order for this to happen, I strongly believe gold or silver would need to reach a higher amount first.

Gold > Silver > BitCoin

Useful advice.  Thanks.

Even though you want to purchase used, I strongly recommend new. Old, used up GPUs can have unforeseen problems. Not worth it.

@ Mining United we actually have about 11 7970's GPUs we will be selling.

I have been wondering how you are going to scale your scam in order to increase your take.

Now we know:  http://www.btccheap.com/index.html

Just make duplicate web sites!  Nice...

Once again, your assumptions have you wrong.

BTCCheap.com is a blatant, obvious, copy of our website. We are in NO WAY related to this website, all the way down to the DNS's being different. The have copied ALL of our pages literally word-for-word. Shortly after the website went up this was sent to us:

Quote
"why yuu copy my website! you take down your website. it is mine."

Quote
Creation date: 07 May 2013 15:29:00
It was registered on May 7, almost a month after our website.

MiningUnited is NOT responsible for loss of BitCoin from using the copy website BTCCheap.com. We have already had several email's from people who used that 'scam copy' website saying that they have lost BitCoin after several days with no contact back from this copy website.
