Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip

Hey BitMain,

Still having an issue with an order:

Order ID: 00120140304203920577TE4T0XgP0652
Date: 2014-03-04 20:39:21
Total: 1.16 BTC
Payment method: Bitcoin Payment

We placed this order for one S1 and sent payment of 1.16 BTC to the address we were given.  We never received a confirmation email after making the payment.  When we log into our account on the site, Pay Details says:

Pay 2.32 BTC
Pay Confirm 2.32 BTC

Order Details says:

AntMiner S1 x 1        1.16 BTC
Order Total:              1.16 BTC

Status says: Paid, Unshipped, Valid.

It's been over 48 hours since payment was made yet status is still Unshipped and it seems as though it wants another 2.32 BTC on top of the 1.16 BTC we just paid?  Would like to try to figure out what's going on here, why it's not shipped yet and why you site is asking for another 2.32 BTC.

[Does anybody have BitmainTech's contact details? They've removed it from their web site.

They just expired a paid order of mine as unpaid, even though I paid and the transaction had dozens of confirmations at the time they expired it.

I know they keep re-using their payment addresses, so I don't want it to go to the next person before they acknowledge the payment from me!

This is the first time BitmainTech has given me any problems - I've placed many orders before and had nothing but great service.]

info@bitmaintech.info
Or
webmaster@bitmaintech.info

Hey brother, mine did the same thing. First it was "unpaid " "expired"  , then "paying" "expired" , then "paid" "expired" .It appears the orders are O.K.Today it says "valid"

Interesting, one of my clients also just had an issue ordering a S1.  He ordered 1 for 1.16 BTC and received the email stating that he needed to pay within one hour.  He made the 1.16 BTC payment but didn't get an email confirmation when the payment was received.

He logs in today to check his order, it shows the order, that status is PAID, UNSHIPPED but then it says PAY 2.32 BTC.  So we are a bit confused.  The website said 1.16 BTC for one S1, we ordered 1, but now they want additional 2.32 BTC before they ship or is this a glitch on the site?  Noted, it hasn't been 48 hours yet so I told him to hold off until tomorrow before shooting them an email, but since it looks like others are also having issues, I hope its just a glitch.

I've been following this thread simply because everything to this point seems a bit too good to be true but I do have high hopes (as I did with the Bi*Fury, Twin Fury and AntMiner).  As the prices continue to increase and delivery dates continue to move further and further away, it seems less likely these things will hit any of the hype.  If the past gives us any clue, as we approach the end of February, I suspect we will start seeing the delays and excuses roll out from Black Arrow instead of completed miners as they build their mining farms with their new Minions paid for by all the Lemmings here.  Of course I hope I'm wrong and these actually get into the hand of those who paid for them, the next few weeks will tell us for sure.

I have my seatbelt on. Wink

Man, I'm glad I had my seatbelt on!  Looks like they came out early with the delay, but still a delay or 2 to 3 months. Sad  I was close to buying one of the X1's until the price went up and Batch 2 date was updated, I am so glad I didn't now.  I've never been a fan of pre-order anything and this is one of the reasons.

So sorry to hear it for those of you who did pre-order.  The community really should pull together and demand more from these guys, so sad it'll never happen.  Guess it's back to AntMiner and ASICMiner for now or kick back and play with scrypt while we wait for the other BitCoin Miner folks to come out with something worth buying.. :/

@iluvpcs

2 units received for transaction 1c11fea316b55eb2a6c03f373092b45f47ca32c7e7994fd40a01b9995ed101dd.  Both units seem to be hashing away at 2GH/s out of the box using bfgminer 3.10, sweet.  BTW, you can use the CP210xSetIDs.exe file to change the Serial Number for each device.  It seems both units came with Serial Number 00001 just like the ASICMiner USB Devices.  Changing that number allows your device to use the same COM port if you decide to unplug and plug the device back in, nice.

Thank you very much, threw some trust your way! Smiley

Wait, can't you just buy an R9 270X at 425kH/s and an U1 at 1.6GH/s for $300 instead of 3 of these at 120kH/s and 1.5GH/s for $300?  I don't understand the advantage of these devices.  Maybe at half the price?  Looks like Ebay candy to me.

Someone explain to me the point of buying a 1.6gh miner @ +-$50
How you gonna make your money back ?

For me, it's about defeating the difficulty so I continue to make what I'm making now.  Buying two allows me to defeat the difficulty increase and add to my profits until next increase.  If BTC value goes up, I make even more and payback shortens a bit.  At $833 BTC, these are only $44.15, still $14.15 more than I wanted to pay, but I'll take the hit just to defeat this next rise and add a few more nuggets.  Smiley

Looking to complete my BES collection.  I only need 5 units to complete my 10GH/s setup.

I'm willing to pay 0.02 BTC each or 0.10 BTC for all 5 using Escrow and I'll pay shipping from within the US.

I might be willing to be a little flexible so PM me your offer.

2.5 btc /~$2000 ,thats the lowest I would go.
I would get a lot more in ebay for both.

Dude, that's even more than new ones.  BL is selling the 50GH/s for $984 and the Jalapeno was selling for $202 before it went out of stock.  Being this is used hardware, it already lost a portion of it's value.  If you're serious about selling these at that price, you better hope you find suckers on Ebay.

I'd would go 0.19 on the Jalapeno with Escrow, I'd pay shipping.

Hmm, I wonder if they should change the post title?  Nothing on their site shows a $1.49/Ghash.  Even if you buy over 1000 chips, you still pay over $1.49/Ghash and the two miners are at least twice that.  Maybe they should base that on the retail price instead of the initial discounted price that you can no longer get.

Math check is with shipping(your pricing is no shipping) and the fans plus now I'm putting the cx750m just saying.

Yeah, the power supply and fans will give you another 0.12 BTC max, that's still more than new and would make shipping cost more than $167 in order to match new prices on everything.  Somehow I doubt it would cost that much to ship and it's still used product. Just saying.. LOL

Are you selling the whole lot at once or individually?  If individually, I might be interested in a couple.

Its on ebay for more then this and on CL.

Then why come here and try to gouge this community with used product priced higher than new?

Just a note but check your math for currently available pricing on forum(silentsonicboom/crazyguy/canaryinthemine are the USA resellers) your off(specially since no blades listed).

BTW, my math is fine and I even went with the highest prices I could find for both and they are still cheaper new:

Cube 0.85 verified to run on high clock
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=392287.0
Blades 0.40
http://www.bitcanary.com/

2 x 0.40 = 0.80 + 0.85 = 1.65

and also next time stay off my thread with this kinda thing.  If your trying to help me PM me.

Not a chance if your intentions are to rip off the community.  Oh and I wasn't trying to help you although you could have taken it that way and adjusted your price instead of attempting to correct my math.  You should have gotten a clue from Ebay and CL.  If they didn't sell there, you probably aren't going to sell them here at 17.5% higher than new, but hey good luck to you. Looking to get 2BTC for all 3 together USA only will ship with tracking and insurance included.

You do realize you can get these new for 1.65 BTC right?  Normally used stuff is cheaper than new.  You might try Ebay or Amazon for that price, they might sell faster. Wink

I'm also interested depending on final price and specs.  I have a couple computers that need video cards so getting some that can also mine would be sweet.  I too can recommend Ben as my son and I have both purchased from BuyAHash in the past.  Good prices and fast delivery, although I do only live about 30 mins away, was satisfied with his service. I need to test them - the box 2 with FedEx for a couple months and I'd rather trashed (and missing like 18 sticks...) but once I do I'll be let you know.

That's fine, I'm in no rush, just want to complete mine and my son's rigs to an even 5GH/s each on the BE's and all I need is 5 to complete it.

I was hoping to buy a couple Cubes as well, but I'm leery seeing all the issues they are having, I may just stick with the Blades for a bit.  The other USB devices are just way too outrageous for my blood, I can't believe people are paying $160/GH for those things (shutter).

I have just gotten back a package from FedEx - I have 60 of the old asicminer USB sticks. I'm open to selling them, in bulk though. Anyone interested in ten or more?

Price up for negotiation.

I'd pay $60 for 5 of them or 0.085 BTC plus shipping.  I'll buy 10 if I have to, but really only want 5.
