msi rx 470 - 250h/s / card on win 10, i used the recommended drivers.
290 only linux ?

Do you use -asm 1 and -i 6 parameters? (these are the defaults if you didn't set them)

I set -asm 1 and -i6 now 266H/s. Can i take it higher?

with setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

about 270h/s

https://minerstat.xyz/public/coinscrow.html

Win7 +  16.10.1 drivers + Rx470 4Gb (Elpida and Hynix) ~ 295 h/s (no miner options)

Hey all,

Wanting to build another mining rig using this older cpu, motherboard and RAM (below). I have this stuff kicking around, will Zcash mining work with 4GB of DDR2? This motherboard supports a maximum of 4GB DDR2 so I can't add any more sticks Sad

I was planning on buying an RX470 4GB for this rig. I have a decent 600 Watt power supply which will be plenty and planning to use Windows 7. thanks

AMD ATHLON 64+ 3200 2.0 GHZ SOCKET AM2 CPU

2 X 2GB DDR RAM (4GB TOTAL)
XMS2 CORSAIR 800 MHZ

ASUS M2N68-AM SE2
SOCKET A MOTHERBOARD

I've got single-card rigs running 2 GB of RAM on the MB.
My dual 280x rig has 4 GB - yes, the GPUs have more total memory than the MB does.

I have one rig with 3 R9 series GPUs running on 1Gb DDR1 !!! memory with socket 775 CPU, but RX 470 doesnt work in that rig

Doesnt matter at all.
I have few rigs with pentium 4!!!! on 775 socket with ddr1 memory and 4 GPUs running very well and stable.
you need 2 cores and HT for multi GPUs, rest doesnt matter

For those, who need comparison data and interested in Claymore miner progress  Smiley

power of the wall
vX - version of Zcash miner
-i 6

GPU                   v8     v7     v6    v5   v4   v3   v2    Power on v8

7870                115     95     65   55   40   35   32      110w
7950                190   155   125   95   70   45   38      140w
7970                200   165   120   95   65   55   48      150w
270x                115   100     67   55   40   35   32      100w
280x                200   165   125   90   65   60   51      165w
285                  125   110     85   70   40   36   32     130w
RX 470 4Gb      180   155   145  120   70   60   50     120w

Got any idea how 290/290x/380/390/390x look in that table?

380 is pretty much 285 rebranding and for zec mining 470/480 is much better, I am very happy I bought  RX 470 4g for ETH rigs instead of 285  Cheesy

don't have 290/390 but they do

Bravo Claymore!

v8 now gives me R9 390 = 270 H/s per card!

Updates:

R9 290 = 268 H/s

R9 290x = 278 H/s

RX 480 = 172 H/s

R9 Nano = 278 H/s

R7 370 = 110 H/s

3x r9 390 + 1x r9 290 = 1130w-1150w - 1120 h/s
3x r9 390  = 930w-950w - 885 h/s
3x r9 290  = 830w-850w - 725 h/s

in total 2730 h/s = 2890w - 2950w

How did U get 200 sols with 100W from 280x? Mine takes about 140 and it's already undervolted.

My mistake its 165w

I wonder if its your ETH bios settings.

I edited original stock BIOS of each card with timings, so ALL setting are stock (~1200 core/ 6600 memory).

RX 470 4Gb      175   155   145   120  70   60   50

Could you share RX 470 config. Mine just 152 on V8.

What level -i are you using and are you using the -nofee switch?

I can get 170h/s with fee enable and about 158 with the fee switched off using -i6.

Anyone in their right mind would not use the -nofee option, it's slower than with the fee......

I agree but just wanted to check the speed difference.

NO additional settings exept pool, -tt and -mport

Different Vendors (Gigabyte, Powercolor, ASUS) all stock, but BIOS mod timings (was done for ETH).

P.S. That feeling when you accidentally post message while editing it, fix errors, but people start quoting unedited message. So you quote their message and fix your quote text in their quote

For those, who need comparison data.
version 7 speeds:
7870 - 95 sol/s
7950 - 145 sol/s
7970 - 165 sol/s
270x - 100 sol/s
280x - 165 sol/s
285 - 110 sol/s
470 4Gb - 155 sol/s

Couldn't be more accurate. You can add
290 - 200 sol/s to complete the list

295x2 shapire  -  452 sol/s to complete the list

I listed only results on GPUs that i have, it won't be apropriate to add something because results may be different depending on settings (all stock, but bios mod timings), rig hardware (i have most rigs on 775 socket, even some with DDR1 memory, after V3.0 they show same speed as the new ones on 1150 socket).
If anyone interested i came to conclusion that only thing that matters for old CPU on multiGPU rig is HyperThreading or other VirtualCore technology, without it there is a big hashrate drop.

Thanks Claymore. REALY. (Registered to say that)
7870, 7950, 7970, R9 270x, R9 280, R9 280x, R9 285(380), rx470 4Gb(bios mod) - all works on 16.10.2 drivers fine on Win 7, old cards show same speed as on 15.12 drivers.
All versions of miner very stable on 5 different rigs with -i 2.

How much you get on r9 380?
R9 285 2Gb stock (same 380) - 37 Sol/s avg worst result of all my cards even 7870 gives 36 Sol/s
