It might be cheaper and even better, but without the numbers or userbase it wont be much good. It's how I look at bitcoin. Obviously its better than fiat but it just doesn't have the userbase or merchant adoption yet.
The Bitcoin ebay site, BitMit, did pretty well with many merchants and quite a few users. And that was just a website run by one guy (who apparently was overwhelmed and shut it down).
Bitmit really wasn't doing that well and if it was it wouldn't have shut down. He could have just hired more people. Why would you kill a growing business. Cryptothrift is another. Sure people use it but not enough for it to be significant.

I open a letter from ISP that they want to compete with google fiber 
. But you have to have fiber laid out to where you live then cat-5 going from it to the modem. They put the fiber to house for free. I believe when new portion of house was built there might have been charge on cat-5 from fiber to modem I am not sure. So I guess biggest part is you need fiber not just a phone line like normal dsl.
So they offer a great deal and I go up to 1000 Mbps for 10 more dollars then I was paying. Yes i know insane good deal. It is not like most ISP's as it is really owned by it's users ( a Co-Op). No you will not find many ISP's like this but I am lucky.
It is just an insane amount of bandwidth I tried to think of way to legally monetize it but have not found good one yet. On a side note it is going to cost me a decent chunk on a new router my old router goes up to around 750 Mbps, but I am going to purchase one that does closer to the 1000 Mbps. They offer one from the ISP, but I like owning my own router.

I'd wait till it's actually installed before you get excited about the upgrade. I've been twice upgraded for free promising double the speed etc but the actual speed was actually no where near what they offered.

You need to be prepared to be scammed lol. If you're looking to make more profit than gambling and trading then I don't think you'll find that in lending bitcoin to people as the profit margins are tiny.

Bitcoin doesn't need sex to sell, it sells itself. That being said, I do think the sex industry could really benefit from bitcoin. I think it's only a matter of time before they get involved.
What if the Bitcoin-payment processors refuse to cater to the porn websites? I have heard that the Bitpay has turned down a number of requests from porn websites, along with similar requests from merchants dealing with legal Marijuana (in Colorado) and those dealing with pharmaceuticals. We need more and more payment processors, as currently Bitpay and Coinbase are monopolizing the market.
The beauty of bitcoin is they don't need a payment processor. Just sell the coins on an exchange yourself. However, I'm sure there will be a payment processor that will deal with them eventually.

The film is out on Netflix btw, no need to rent anything.
Why would Keanu Reeves narrating it make you want to watch it? He's one of the dullest actors out there and his voice really isn't great for narration. I liked the movie but his narration was one of the most boring aspects of it. I hope Alex Winter will do another follow up documentary on the retrial or whatever. One on bitcoin would be good too.

I need to watch that film again as I haven't seen it in years, but as ridiculously stupid as it may have seen at the time it's scary how much of it is relevant today.
What % of people are into bitcoin/alternate coins because of gambling? Is it higher or lower than illegal goods?
This is really hard to say as they're both huge uses of bitcoin and it will be hard to find reliable data, but personally I think they're both valid uses. Regardless of whether something is ilegal or not I think people should be free to purchase whatever drugs they wish or gamble with their money if prohibited and bitcoin gives people the freedom to do that.
I received a tiny BTC deposit in my wallet recently. I don't know where it came from and I hadn't sent or received to or from my wallet in about 2 weeks before the deposit. Could this be something to be concerned about?

Exactly. This article and ones similar that have come out recently are bs. You could say the same about any industry or new tech. I doubt there were many women involved with the internet or computers initial but look at us now. More and more women will get on board over time naturally but its not an issue and we shouldn't go out of our way to try get women involved just because.

In an ideal world bitcoin's value should increase as adoption is very likely to keep on rising, but bitcoin seems to be completely unpredictable. We still get small levels of adoption daily and its use is growing yet the price only falls or stagnates.

Neither will happen IMO , both will coexist. Bitcoin can't be destroyed its decentralized, none controls it if paypal was intending to destroy Bitcoin they would just acquire it and then destroy it. But wait its decentralized so they can't really do that. Bitcoin really isn't going to destroy Paypal or vice versa. After all there will always be a need for payment processors. Worst comes to worst they can just become a competitor to bitpay and coinbase etc.

Some people will think it is very dangerous whilst others will see it as very liberating. Some people are of the opinion that drugs shouldn't be ilegal and these sorts of markets give those people the freedom to chose which they should be able to.
I am one of those posters who trully believe bitcoin wont go under 100$ ever again. The reasons for that are many, from adoption, infrastructure, some regulations, acceptance,

Same. I'm tempted to say bitcoin is too big and there's too much money invested in it to go down to below $100 but I suppose anything is possible. It wouldn't make sense for people to sell at that price though and miners would likely just keep their coins if that happened.

Why is it rising? Why is it falling? I see these two questions asked all the time here. My question is why do you need to know? Somtimes it rises sometimes it falls but it's always just due to demmand.

I don't think it would be a good idea personally. Seems like too big of a risk with such a drastic change at the moment. Bitcoin needs time to grow.
I would actually prefer the citizens to adopt it as an alternative means if they wish, but not have it thrust upon them. This kind of growth would be better in my opinion.
Seems to me the dude is merely pointing out why bitcoin is necessary for the people of the world vs fiat currencies which benefit govts and the special interests that feed off them.
