The crypto markets been slumping since the year start following the Bitcoin and Ethereums downward trend.
According to Tokendata, 56 out of 74 ICOs completed this year are now in the red. The current ROI (return on investment) for tokens acquired at ICOs averages 2.17x. Mind that its based on the presale token price, rather than public.
But theres something worth noting here: over 84% of tokens are distributed among private investors through presales and private sales. It means that despite the popularity of ICO, the bulk of investments are attracted from the major players.
Then again, analysts generally predict a growth of the major currencies and a stronger interest in crowdsales in the short run. The first quarter has already hit $2 billion. Note the statistics dont take into account such data as, for instance, Telegram's ICO presale, which raised $850 million.
