Anyone have issues with GridSeeds and using CM? I notice my HW error rate jumps up 10-15% when using this pool.
It's bad for me too My 10GS's report 3.6Mh/s on average; reject: 1.67% HW error: 0.06% in scripta But on CM: 3.0Mh/s 24h average; now even as low as 2.8
...
Any ideas on how to improve this?

Not to be a troll...but after reading extensively on getting a gridseed setup...ROI looks to be 6-8 months...well after the high powered ASICs arrive. Is buying gridseeds really worth it?
Yeah, I fear this too. I have 6 GPU's and 10 Gridseeds happily hashing , but I fear they'll never reach ROI. Furthermore, with all those big companies producing ASICs (scrypt and SHA256), I'm sure they all do "quality control" for a fair amount of time => difficulty goes up even before you have your miner => large amounts of BTC are being sold making the rate drop.
...
So yeah, I still believe in the concept of BTC, but in the long run, and not as a small miner. I'd just buy some coins with some money you don't really need and wait (a long time)
Finally got my 12v stepdown to run the Controller/Raspi off the 12v supply. (Testing on the controller since it's trash, I'll move it to the raspi after 24 hours)
bobby35ny is running 10 gridseeds with the fans removed in these cases as pictured. *this case won't fit a standard atx PSU.
I run my 10 in a rosewill 4U.
The little black box on top of the gridseeds connecting all the white cables on the left and all the red on the right, that's what I need. Can anyone post a link to that? Muchos gracias

Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed GC3355 5 Chip Setup/power/windows/linux/rpi by UnicornHasher
how can you check polarity of a cable with a multimeter?
check for resistance in the wire and connector. Hold one probe on the sleeve of the connector (I assume you are talking about DC plugs) and then touch the other probe to the ends of the cables. The one that registers resistance is your ground or (-) wire.
So the outside of the plug should be connected to the white cable, which in turn should be connected to the -V of the powersupply
so normally putting one probe on the outside (sleeve of the connector) and the other at the end of the white cable gives me a reading on resistance putting one probe on the inside of the connector and the other at the end of the white cable gives no reading ?

No problem. Like I said, HASHRA.com is the site/company that is between the manufacturers and us, now. I am sure they are completely open to quantity purchases at a substantial discount under retail. They may not deal with 'group' buys though. Not now anyway. I really don't know. As I (dimly) recall, their mass quantities were 200 - 1000 - 10,000 - etc.and the price didn't go below $120 each or something like that. Don't quote me on it. Let me know what you find out. This could get interesting Wolfey2014
Excellent. Well, again, I'm not calling it a "group buy" if you will. I'm already prepared to buy approx 300 or so myself (at $160 each). Was just hoping to get an extra break if possible.
I'll let you know what I hear back then.
+40 for me...see if you can get the price down to $120 each
Don't need anything except for the miners themselves. Lets keep this simple and not deal with getting people power supplies, cables or any accessories.
Edit: I keep forgetting that the company I work for opened up a division in China a few years ago. We have frequent video conference calls and have already inquired if they could be a resource for sourcing product. If necessary we could have them deal directly with Gridseed on our behalf. They, of course, would require compensation for their time.
Same here possibly +60 for me at $160... more if together we can get a lower price for larger qty. Got $10K that could go to this possibly.
I'm in for another 30 or 40
16 for me, maybe mor depending on how shipping will be arranged to EU, I don't want to be sponsoring customs
