Hey guys,

I sent some coins to Bittrex from my wallet, transaction unconfirmed since 45 mins, neither TX ID nor Trex addy show up in block explorer Sad

Any help?

Well, 0 confs for an hour now.. guess all I can do is wait..

You sure you sent it to a STRAT address and not a START address on Bittrex?

Haha, that would be a funny mistake but no, Trex dashboard says Stratis STRAT and the address

so stay calm, no reason to sell STRAT now Wink

No I know, not planning on selling before 50k just worries me if a tx is lost in limbo

Edit: It worked, sent a second tx and a few secs later both transactions showed up on Trex. Thanks for the help guys!

I've been following Expanse a lot lately, and they've been doing great. The main difference between this group and the Expanse team is how to communicate with the community. The Expanse slack is very useful.  What ways do you guys use, because I couldn't find a good place.

can't you see the real difference between SHF and EXP? Expanse has 10 mil at so called DAO account controlled by unknowns, premined coins waiting to be dumped -> http://www.expanse.tech/explorer/account/0xbb94f0ceb32257275b2a7a9c094c13e469b4563e
Coinmarketcap shows fake total coins number (2,066,139 EXP instead of 12,066,139 EXP). EXP team hid 10 mil EXP account, this way they are misleading investors about real marketcap that shows that EXP is probably 5x overpriced now. The truth is that these premined and hidden coins exist on their blockchain and can be dumped by EXP team at any time.

Read the other day that the number of available coins is actually 3 Million but they won't fix their block explorer API so CMC doesn't display correctly Grin

The main difference between SHIFT and EXP is that SHIFT is developing unique additions to their codebase. Check the EXP github, there's almost no contributions. But don't worry, they are having a hard time selling their vaporware recently. Charts don't lie Wink

I was wondering if any of you guys have had any luck buying 1+ btc worth of shift. Livecoin and bittrex both have very low liquidity and won't fill an order. Has anyone had any luck buying large amounts of shift on bitsquare?

I might be able to help you OTC, check PM.

PM'd you Smiley

Most probably one guy is selling to himself. I just put a 56k sell order at 57, to find out if there is some real demand, I guess noone will buy.

Makes sense, that's also why the price is going up right? Cheesy

Your order is getting eaten btw, might remove that and try at 10k again Wink

Aaaaaand your sell got eaten. Guess you found out where the demand is. Less weak hands is always better.

Remember guys, you don't sell SHIFT before 100000. Cause that's where we're going!

Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining
by
Mysterion
on 11/05/2016, 20:53:04 UTC

1. There was one ANN thread for the initial launch
2. There was one for the relaunch
3. There is this thread  (this thread is really about steemit.com vs the steem blockchain)
4. I haven't made any other threads (so your facts are wrong).

steemit owns 57% of all STEEM at this point in time.

That sounds like at least 2 threads too much. Intentionally or not idgaf but explain why you would want to separate info about the platform from info about the token? It seems you're pretty proud of the technological backbone that is underlying steemit. I for one am confused to bring the two projects together if I have to cross check several places to get all the info.

Why are you posting as reverseflash one time and bytemaster another time? And why not originally start the thread with the account linked to Bitshares?

It's buried somewhere deep in my history, but can someone link that blog post where the steem dev meticulously explains how to properly instamine your own coin?

Anyway, price is falling day by day, maybe I'll pick some up at 1000 sat which is a fair valuation for a brand new coin with 42 Million supply.

I rather be mining Shift then Expanse now .Expanse Team sounds nasty to anyone who questions them lately ?Would just like to see Shift pass up Expanse in price and make then eat some of what they have said about Shift on there Forum still holding both Shift and Expanse waiting for a price increase .

Price margin between Shift and Expanse is just a bit too large to fill.
Not sure if it would ever be able to catch up (I would be happy if it does  Grin), what do you guys feel about it.
I'm holding 180,000 Shift waiting for  .0001 and hold 65,300 Expanse waiting for my money back out of it

0.0001 is more than possible. I think over time something between 0.0003-0.0005 is a more reasonable price. Be happy, you're an early adopter of a great coin.

Re: [ANN][STEEM][POW] - NO IPO | NO PREMINE | NO INSTAMINE (relaunch)
by
Mysterion
on 24/04/2016, 15:02:01 UTC

it's funny you guys quote the message with " pharisees " in it. This is only 4 weeks old, and you are already talking about late investor shit. So a few people mined and the devs secured a large percentage of that by mining instead of selling xx million dollars worth in an ICO and claim they ran out of funds in a year or so. I actually feel much safer knowing the devs own 80% or more locked in power-ups for two years. Yes they will get weekly payouts and will have control, but what better motive will they have go the whole nine yards to make STEEM a success? I know you want to mine 80% of a coin and have the devs work for you for free, does that ever happen? I myself was called many names in the past on bct, and the fact is I agree with the devs 100%, catering to the pharisees on bct is a sure recipe for failure.

If you guys spend as much time reading instead of casting stones, you will know this is still in the early stages, even pre "early investors" as you like to call them. Get your powerups now while it's not expensive to do so. Join slack and learn how you can get STEEM without mining or buying, even the pharisees will make STEEM on steemit.com by casting stones  Roll Eyes

No, I absolutely agree with the sentiment that it's better if the developers have some incentive to work on their own coin. I just disagree with advertising STEEM as a fairly launched coin. What's wrong with explicitly stating "[ANN][STEEM][POW] NO IPO | 80% Premine", if they really believe they could make this a success?

Maybe because they wouldn't have gotten to a valuation of 37500 BTC market cap? Which puts them right into the top 10 of cryptocurrencies? Just a thought..

And don't tell me that argument about "restricted shares". You can't say you're avoiding regulation if it suits you and on the other hand cite examples from regulated markets. No other POS coin deducts their staking coins from the total supply, so why does STEEM do that?

Maybe to hide that the devs hold coins worth ~13 Million dollars? But yeah, everyone's right, STEEM is probably valued correctly, almost as high as Ethereum during the IPO phase. Makes absolute sense Cheesy

How to Launch a Crypto Currency Legally while Raising Funds
https://bytemaster.github.io/article/2016/03/27/How-to-Launch-a-Crypto-Currency-Legally-while-Raising-Funds/

Interesting read and insight into the crooked mind of this dev.

What this says: dev didn't want to pay lawyers and in order to raise the funds he intended, so he tricked the general public. Not for a second do I believe he doesn't have a PC around to compile a windows wallet, so his previous statements make him an outright lier Grin

What's more interesting though is that the team was looking for a way to raise capital. Since they didn't do it through an ICO but instamined their own coin, this means they are planning on selling what they mined in order to acquire the funds they need. Now they might tell you they won't and can't and bla bla.. Remember the previous paragraph where we found out the dev simply lies to bend the reality.. Soooo..

On which block STEEM switches from DPOW to DPOS? And what is estimated time of this swich? Or target spacing between blocks?
Block 864000. Around 2016-04-24 05:40 UTC

The switch should be instantly.

Wait.. PoW is just 4 weeks?

So during all of PoW the dev team hasn't managed to release a windows client, shut out the biggest potential user base and premined >80% of the supply?

Promising tech or not, that's just a joke. And not a good one.

So,

I get your point, you wanna have a majority share in your own coin that you put so much work in. Understandable.

However you'll have a very hard time to shake the scam image. That's not saying your coin won't land on a good exchange or do ok, but anyone looking at STEEM will see it as a pump and dump opportunity and you'll have a hard time building a real community for it since you'll be ruined by day traders that know how to handle your coin.

I guess my question is why not make it a legit launch with a premine or ICO and disclaim all the great features from the start?
