I have now seen all there is to see on the Internet. My life is complete.
I'm going to look into it a little, but I'm not sure my coding skills are up to it.

This looks pretty promising; and would probably yield a better result (using an industry standard platform instead of rolling my own)
Are you a pharmacist? If not you should really talk to a legal advisor, dealing in pharmaceuticals is sadly heavily regulated by most governments so you might be open to litigation.
How would they stop customers from sending him funds?
They would not, but they can sure as hell clamp down on some dude aquiring and sending out prescription medication in large quantities to unknown recipients, much easier so if he is not a pharmacist/doctor.

Big pharma has a way of distributing cheap drugs to third world countries who have large black markets for selling these goods locally. Bitcoin + anonymous networks like Tor would allow these local markets to go international (not that I would condone or approve of such a thing.)
So, like the subject says, I'm new here. I have a few questions if you all don't mind.
Can somebody point me in the direction of a trading platform for bitcoins? Something I can use to place orders without having to go to
Mt. Gox every time I want to place an order oh and trailing stops and stop limit order functions would be nice
. Do such things exist?
I don't know what to do with the stuff on the trade api page on Mt. Gox.
Also, do Bitcoin exchanges have MMs (market makers)? Bitcoins (bitcoin = penny stock) are extremely volatile.
I do think however, that with the liquidation of a couple portfolios and some finesse, I might be able to help out a little.
It is vital for a "currency" to be stable.
And as a small business owner, It is nearly impossible for everyday business' that might be interested to take that leap.
Though, I am interested!!! Which is why I'm here If I can reduce the risk to my business, I'll have no quarrels accepting bitcoins

I'm actually in the process of building just such a platform; due to the same pain points you're having with trying to actually trade via web browser (it's not fun to say the least

After growing more and more excited about bitcoins I finally decided to join up to the official forums as opposed to staying away from the community, which I usually do. But I really believe in this.
The first thing I see is that I am confined to the newbie area. Pointless, but fair enough. Any spammer can easily make 5 posts and wait 4 hours, I can also.
But really worries me is the sheer volume of, best case, extremely shady "offers" going around here in the newbie corner, and worst case pure and blatant scams.
And these are often posted by people who have passed the muster and are legit users. So what's he deal here? Surely some idiot posting lol donkey balls is not a threat to bitcoins. These leeches exploiting, or as they would surely like to put it, "gaming the system" are somehow not? Stalking the newbie forums specifically to entrap the inexperienced unopposed and with impudence?

Not sure why you're taking Mitch to task for the behavior of anonymous users.
This is a forum for the discussion and development of an entirely new financial infrastructure. The fact that shady people would come to such a place to scam other's isn't all that surprising.
Nice to see .NET developers in here... Don't you want to make a WPF/Silverlight app as example?

As to the OP, not too sure why people would pay for a wrapper that anyone proficient in C# can write within 30 minutes.
I think the value add would be a Silverlight/WPF frontend as Maxim said
Why wouldn't you cash out on what you're doing and possibly buy more pcs/equiptment? I'm an IT guy for a local church/school and they have around 97 stations on campus. I brought up the idea of using the pcs to mine after everyone goes home. I have a script set up to log on to an account. A startup script runs the miner and gets around .7Btc a night. Once we get enough, we're cashing out to get couple gigabit switches.

You guys do realize that you need to issue a POST to that url with your credentials as POST'ed variables? Hitting it from the browser with your credentials as query string parameters will always yield that error message.

As far as this board is concerned, i'm technically a noob; but have actually been into bitcoin since january (didn't get into mining at the time despite having access to some awesome hardware, and am still kicking myself for it !!

As an fx trader; used to Bloomberg terminals, and pretty much direct connection to the exchange; trying to trade through the MtGox is nearly impossible. By the way, something else I've been wondering (and an excuse to get to 5 posts): what is the incentive for a node to include any transaction in their block for free?
The only incentive is that it will help get more people to be willing to use Bitcoin.If you have a lot of transactions, isn't it going to take longer to hash? If I was selfish, why wouldn't I calculate a block and only include my own coinbase transaction and nothing else?
It DOESN'T take longer to hash. There's no reason NOT to include transactions.Similarly, as the network picks up popularity aren't we running the risk that we'll have to start including millions of transactions in every block? Even if the difficulty adjusts to accommodate the slower hashing, won't the blockchain get untolerably large (in terms of storage space)?

Edit: to clarify, it's not the whole block that is hashed, just the headers, which includes the Merkle root. The amount of data hashed does not change - regardless of the number of transactions.
Who is responsible for constructing the merkle tree, and then the merkle root for inclusion in a block header? Doesn't that take processing power?
