I hang out in the Telegram of Enjin Coin, if you're going to talk about an unknown coin and waste the CEOs time, you're going to get banned.

Every other week there's a new ICO in gaming and they schill in the Enjin channel, don't be surprised if they ban you.

If you're going to say Enjin copied them, you better provide proof, stop wasting people's time, i've read GoNetworks whitepaper, there's nothing there.

If you think Enjin isn't touching mobile, it's because you're not paying attention.

We've recently partnered with IEBC (the Integrated Engineering
Blockchain Consortium) to explore what can be done with Minecraft (Industrialcraft) + Enjin Coin items to create simulations of the engineering process. IEBC is publishing some articles in the coming weeks describing how using Enjin Coin with plugins like this can create a process to incentivize bright future engineers who were born and raised in massively-networked online environments. They believe that these hive networks of players can do it better than the archaic 8-level management hierarchies in engineering. It reminds me of the book Ender's Game Smiley https://www.enjin.com/partners/iebc

That's really interesting news, looking forward to reading their take on how the ENJ coin that be used.

The Enjin Coin platform and toolsets will be integrated into keys parts of Enjin (mainly the rewards system, forum votes, automations and Virtual Stores) and won’t present any hurdles in getting started. We want to make it fun and incredibly easy to use in the end, so anyone can start minting and managing custom tokens and items.

If i understand correctly, there will be free to use plugins for other platforms other then Enjin? So other types of communities can implement it? I think this is pretty cool, i appreciate what steemit built, but this makes more sense to me.

Looking forward to more news.

PS: Having to dig through that other thread filled with garbage for new info is not cool.

Enjin didn't handle this situation tactfully, but there's better ways to bring up issues with an ICO, you guys jumped the gun, it's difficult to take any of this seriously.

I'm nauseated by both sides.

Thank you for the clarifications @ Witek , i had my own concerns regarding the traffic and was going to post about it the other day, but didn't have time.

Anyways - Hopefully there's more constructive and interesting conversations being fostered in this thread in the future, i'll keep my tab open and reply when i have time.

Thank you again for the response @WitekRadomski

I know there's a lot of survival games out there, like H1Z1, PUBG, Dayz, they all have very similar loot systems and monetize with micro transactions, how can ENJ enhance the gameplay of these games when the Digital Assets / Items are often gone after they die or the game is over?

The only items worth anything in these games are the one's sold by the company which are mostly cosmetic, but there's no way to trade them or even if there was, there wouldn't be that much incentive in it's current state compared to CS:GO.

I think it's a challenge for some games, especially first person shooters that are really dependent on balanced game play.

My last post was somehow deleted by the bitcoin forum for being off-topic, not sure how that's possible, but will post my questions again.

Thanks for the feedback and questions!

Hi Witekn, thank you for taking the time of responding.

1. Transaction fees are currently in Ether, around 2 cents worth of fees per transaction and confirmation within approx 40-90 seconds. Future updates to Ethereum aim to improve block times to 3 seconds (Casper) and allow transfers within milliseconds (Raiden). Raiden would also reduce transaction fees by many orders of magnitude. Both of these Ethereum updates are planned for late 2017 to early 2018. In the meantime we'll be using off-chain notifications to update wallets about new transactions immediately until they are confirmed. There is no difference in transacting Items or Currencies as they are based on the same token design.

Okay, a few follow up questions, i hope these also help my fellow players.

Scenario
Player 1 Owns;
-Item A (Wand) = 100 ENJ
-Item B (Armor) = 1000 ENJ

Trade Item A to Player 2 = Cost, 2 cents
Trade Item B to Player 2 = Cost, 2 cents?

Does the worth of items or quantity of items change the transaction fees?

2. Items will be stored in an Ethereum smart contract wallet - it can be set up with spending thresholds for a basic level of security. For the long term, items can be stored in any Ethereum wallets such as MyEtherWallet - which means you could put them into cold storage. To use them in game, you'd want to put those items into your Enjin Smart Wallet. We'll look at the possibility for items in 'cold' wallet accounts to be recognized in games, but it would be more limited.

Let's say i'm playing an MMO, my sword would be stored in a ETH smart contract wallet, there's no way someone would take that item away from me since it's locked into a smart contract correct?

Could collectible items be stored into a vault? Locked for X periods of times?

3. Yes, communities can configure shared accounts to be used as a guild bank - we're planning a number of features around this and I'd like to hear your use-case further.

Back in the Warcraft days, distribution of consumables was a little tedious, it would be great if the guild bank could just send all the consumables before raid time automatically and users could just send materials to the guild bank, then the bank could send those materials to the people that craft what's needed.

It could go as far as people taking " contracts " in the guild and get paid in guild funds for that contract.

We need 10,000 Blue Ore, will pay X per stack, 5 people can split this contract, if they fail to complete the contract, they forgo their share.

I think there's an unlimited amount of ways this could make running a guild 100x more efficient,  running a guild was extremely tedious and i haven't even touched the DKP system.

I remember mining a little and buying? It was so cheap, <$10? You don't often find $3k in the cracks of your couch, so i was pretty happy to find even just 1 by complete accident.

Wonder how many millions and millions are stuck in couch cracks, swept under carpets or are rotting away in rubbish dumps...

My friend had a few 100s of btc's back then, he forgot about them, trashed the computer, but that was not even worth a $100 back then.

Hello,

I've been away from the crypto scene for several years, I've discovered that i had 1 BTC+ on an old dusty HDD from back in the day.

I didn't realize there was so many new crpyto currencies, now I'm overwhelmed, I'm looking for long-term investments, i'll just put it back in the closet and forget about it for another few years.

Here's my current breakdown

20% BTC
10% LTC
10% ETH
10% NEO
10% Dash
10% XMR

So this leaves me about 30% or so left to put into smaller altcoins and that's where i'm having a hard time.

Suggestions are really welcomed  Smiley

Slow down.
Look, I can't tell you how wrong your current approach is.
You made $3,000 with Bitcoin and now want to sell it for random altcoins? Doesn't make sense.
If I were you, I would simply continue holding BTC. It has worked immensely for you so far, why not keep holding?
Also, as another poster mentioned, you now have 1 Bitcoin Cash (BCC) as well. That is currently going for $250.
Why not sell your BCC to make some extra cash money, then use the $250 to buy altcoins that you desire?
This way you still get to invest in some alts, and also keep your Bitcoin.

I really didn't know about the BCC until right now, i'll read up on it, you're right, i may just keep that BTC intact and only invest that $250, i think i was just getting excited?... Cheesy

I like how you weren't disappointed that it was only one Bitcoin you purchased back then and not more. When was it and how much fiat did you fork out if you remember?
I remember getting intrigued very early on around 2010 when I first downloaded and installed the core and only because I got distracted and/or found it difficult to find out how to buy Bitcoin with AUD, I gave up and forgot about it.
But to answer your question, all depends what you're prepared to risk. Low risk option is always put it on a trustworthy exchange in the funding wallet and collect interest from traders who will borrow it for margin trading.

Hi,

I've been a long time user of Enjin from back in the World of Warcraft days, I've tried posting on Reddit, but it didn't work, so i'm posting here instead.

I haven't touched crypto in several years, i'm completely outdated, but looking to get back into it and feel like Enjin could solve a few of the problems my guild had back in the day.

A few things that aren't clear to me, sorry for ignorance;

1) How will transaction fee's between players work?
1.1) Is there a different fee between items and currency?
1.2) How fast would a transaction be?

2) How will my items be stored exactly?
2.1) Can they be stored like coinbase, where i don't have to deal with the security myself?
 ( I don't know how that works either )

3) Can there be like guild accounts? So guild members can donate to a guild bank of sort?

That's all the questions i can think of for now, i understand that it's all in the air and you may not have a precise answer at this time and there's a lot of theory involved.

Thank you
