Avoid the download altogether.  I recently used http://peerwire.de/goxdb/ and the balance shown reconciled precisely with my numbers.  Below is my  'Subject:Account creation confirmation letter' (altered for security).  You will need the information in bold.   This info may also have been included with PW resets or other communications.

My account is verified, and I made a BTC withdrawal on the 2014/01/25. The tx never made it to the blockchain, what is going on. Zero support either, for days. I am worried

Guys, Good news BTC withdrawals are being resolved slowly but surely.
I just received 100 btc which was 7 days old. So have some patience, you'l receive yours eventually.

well it wouldn't be such good news if in 7 days when I receive them if the price has collapsed.

Gox has taken control of my assets and will not communicate with me. Thus, I can not control my property in an arena that is anything but stable.

I don't think "patience" in these circumstances is a virtue.

This.  And the following:

Gox is closing in on 20,000 BTC stuck in 'bad TX'. This number was approximately 4,000 BTC on Saturday and 15,000 BTC only 24hrs ago. http://thegoxreport.com/

I suggest when an event like this occurs, people should search similar threads for additional info.  There will be few times that you will actually be the first one reporting issues, especially concerning Gox.

Re: Where is the proof MtGox or any exchange for that matter has the BTC?

There's a whole thread for this in Service Discussion.

It's time for Gox's creditors to raise hell. You don't have to put up with this. Contact the Japan Financial Services Agency and file a complaint. File a complaint with the US SEC (Gox has a Delaware office and registered with FinCen). Sue them in Delaware (Delaware's Justice of the Peace Court, their small claims court, can handle cases up to $10,000. Above that, it's the Delaware Chancellery Court). Talk to the Japan External Trade Organization for advice on collecting in Japan. Contact reporters at Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, and Nihon Keizai Shimbun.

The Japan Financial Services Agency has the most power in this situation. They have the authority to send auditors into Mt. Gox (which is at  Tōkyō-to, Shibuya-ku, Shibuya, 2丁目11−6, 5th floor.) at any time. They can also keep the principals of Mt. Gox from leaving the country.

This is extremely useful information.  Thank you.

I know I have said this many times, But threaten them for lawsuit. It always makes them shit bricks and give you your money back.

Threatening Gox is really ineffective from my experience.  These threats are certainly common and Gox support is conditioned to ignore them.  Alternatively, filing an actual lawsuit will go directly to legal, bypassing support, and may actually accomplish something.

Just FYI I decided to with draw in 0.2 increments!

It is nice to know I should make several thousand transfers @Gox next time for the withdraw process to work for me.    Roll Eyes

Looks like the death spiral is starting to accelerate.

1. Delays on USD and other fiat - CHECK

2. Delays on JPY withdrawals - CHECK

3. Delays on BTC withdrawals - CHECK

4. Silence due to above 3 items - CHECK

 Roll Eyes

Would they at least wait until I remove my last coins?  Seriously, what I find absolutely troubling is 1) this issue now affects 10,473.89 coins (if I read the data correctly), combined with the fact that 2) it happened on a weekend when far too often bad news is delivered/ discovered.  I hope I am mistaken about this.

My question is, how long does it take for bad transactions to be cleared?  If this requires Gox to 'double spend' in order to correct, I would not even want to consider the additional delays this would create in the Gox world.  I shudder to think how long it would take for their support to clear around 11,000 BTC worth of action?

Edit:  Misread the data.  Or did I?

After nearly 36hrs., my BTC withdraw is still not showing up in the blockchain (BC).  As time passed, I was growing increasingly concerned since this was the longest a Gox withdraw has ever taken me.  Now I know exactly why.

I used the following site:

http://thegoxreport.com/

The process was quick and easy to find my address on the list.  I simply searched for the receiving address using:
List of output addresses from Bad TX: Address List.  Presto.  The total amount of BTC affected by this is nearing 11,000 coins!  Unfortunately, the only course of action at this point is to wait for this to clear.

I am nearing 36 hrs. since I withdrew BTC.  My screenshot from Gox shows the withdraw to the proper address but like the rest of you, nothing has made the BC.  This is by far the longest I have ever waited.

I don't understand what I'm looking at....  Does this webapp somehow detect withdrawals on the blockchain from known Gox addresses that are over two hours old?  I mean, it can only do so if Gox actually published to the blockchain, right?  Which is not the real concern, right?  Aren't we concerned that they are blocking withdrawals outright?

I have the same questions regarding the webapp and the blockchain(BC).  I am nearing 36 hrs. since I withdrew my BTC.  My screenshot from Gox shows the withdraw to the proper address but nothing has made the BC.

Edit:  I hope this will ease some concerns.  My update is @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=324918.msg4758517#msg4758517

New fun with gox.. "Invalid amount, limit reached" -even though the amount was well below my daily limit and more then enough funds on the exchange. After trying random values I was able to withdraw 300€, let's see when they arrive.

I'm not happy with the delays, but could live with that. What I can't agree on is randomly cutting down the daily limit, without even showing it to me.

edit: same thing with btc withdrawals  Sad

Same.  First attempt, invalid amount.  Now 25hrs. later, an unanswered support ticket is all I have.  Nothing has made the BC.  Nothing.  A simple XXX BTC transfer has not arrived in my wallet but of course has been deducted from my available balance at Gox.

Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [Open Source trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux]

I mean if rule can set like  "IF BTC/$ is Bigger than 1111(BTC>1111) "and" small than 999(BTC<999) than do/ not to do ......" would be better

and i just found when I set BTC-E it can't work (it show API is DOWN) but MT,bitstamp & BTCchina can work normal, is my problem or is BTC-E's problem ?(I had enabled trade/info perms & save at the web)

thanks for your response and sorry about my poor EN (my EN is not good so...)

This will be possible in Qt Open Trader via script language.

I cannot wait for this.  Consider the possibilities...
