Re: Appeal the ban "CoinIdol News" account
by
Nina Lyon
on 21/09/2020, 22:47:57 UTC
I just checked the first ten threads on there and all but two were from crypto-based sites and the other ones were not from sites I'd call notable sources.

If you check page by page back for years you will see the same pattern from so many users. That's what I'm talking about and asking if that's a double standard - deleting all CI publications, and mine. Hunting as sports.

Years ago when CD and CT were just a newborn sites (and now too) they did the same. I do remember it.

 Undecided

But still, I understand your complaints now, thank you. And I will work on all of what you said. Just to explain you - it was not an intention to make any super advertising but to share news. If that offended someone in the community - I'm sorry. I and my colleagues work for the crypto community and not crypto news manipulations and monopoly.

Many years old publications and comments with reports on scam for example?  Huh
This is not moderation, this looks personal. Never had anything like this for my entire time writing for crypto community on various websited for so many years. Very strange and it is a double standard.

Still looks like a double standard.

I see post with no "personal opinion" from the author in the Press section just a copy from the lead of the original publication. And you leave it. But you hunt on me Huh and my personal years old replies.

Spam advertisement is not allowed.

I see this account does spam advertisement in multiple threads. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2832883;sa=showPosts

22. Advertising (this includes mining pools, gambling services, exchanges, shops, etc.) in others threads' is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, in altcoin announcement threads. [8]

We do not post advertising (this includes mining pools, gambling services, exchanges, shops, etc.), and the website mentioned here is another website.  Huh

Dear BitcoinTalk community.

I regret to hear that any of our publications are not good enough for you or annoying to anyone in the cryptocurrency community. I would be happy to hear your suggestion on what can be improved. And I assure you I will do everything to make it possible.

I must also note that we did read the guidance of what publications are allowed on the BitcoinTalk. And tried not to violate these rules.

Yes, we hardly communicate on the forum, that's true. But some of our authors follow BitcoinTalk and communicate here on different topics Without sending posts with links to coinidol.com, as any other users.

The account CoinIdol News was made specifically to share our news with the community, and not to discuss it. As journalists can not state their personal opinions, and we find it unethical to reply with personal opinion under the publication. Our goal is to share the information as it is. Section “Press” is dedicated to it, no? That seems not to be prohibited on BitcoinTalk. Or is it now?

Dear moderators of Bitcointalk

We recently found out that the account of "CoinIdol News" on Bitcointalk was banned with no explanation or notification.

As an Editor at Coinidol.com I want to appeal this ban and find out why the account is suspended and publications deleted?
We do not make advertising, we post our news.

Can our account and publications be restored?

Thank you.

[2019-06-11] Why CCN Is Dead and Coindesk Is an Immortal Billionaire?

CCN is another project on the cryptocurrency market that is dead because of the wrong business model.
That's the opinion of co-creator of the business model for CoinTelegraph and the founder of Coinidol, George Gor.
This is a short review of how to survive in the cryptocurrency related media market and not repeat the fate of the bankrupt CCN but rather compete with giants like CoinDesk: https://coinidol.com/why-ccn-dead/

La Criptovaluta impone 4 tipi di rischi per la comunità
by
Nina Lyon
on 04/06/2019, 11:19:12 UTC

[2017-04-27] No Reason to Run Bitcoin and Blockchain Business in Malta
by
Nina Lyon
on 27/04/2017, 17:42:26 UTC
There is no reason to run a Bitcoin or Blockchain business in Malta if you are in the EU. Bitcoin lawyers, entrepreneurs, and traders from Malta consider the local government to talk more than support the blockchain.

Joseph Muscat, the prime minister of Malta, is known as a great supporter of Bitcoin and blockchain. Recently, he stated at a conference organized by Malta’s financial affairs parliamentary committee:

“This is not just about Bitcoin, and I also look forward to seeing blockchain technology implemented in the Lands Registry and the national health registries.”

Suspicion of Insider Trading at Poloniex
by
Nina Lyon
on 20/04/2017, 15:13:50 UTC
Poloniex has recently announced its plans to delist 17 cryptocurrencies on May 2, 2017. This decision was recently published on the cryptocurrency exchange’s Twitter page, and has no explanations of why the Boolberry (BBR), Bitstar (BITS), Coin 2.1 (C2), CureCoin (CURE), Horizon (HZ), I/O Coin (IOC), Myriad (MYR), NobleCoin (NOBL), NuShares (NSR), Qibuck (QBK), Qora (QORA), Quatloo (QTL), Rubycoin (RBY), ShadowCash(SDC), SuperNET (UNITY), Voxels (VOX) and Magi (XMG) altcoins are going to be delisted, surprising many altcoin traders.

Experts comment the prospects for these altcoins on other cryptocurrency exchanges: https://coinidol.com/poloniex-will-delist-seventeen-altcoins/

Update: However, there are signs that someone knew about Poloniex’s decision to remove some altcoins before the official announcement on Twitter and has already earned some money using this situation. Read more: https://coinidol.com/suspicion-of-insider-trading-at-poloniex/

[2017-03-07] CoinIdol to Hold Public Trial of Scammers Who Stole $10 mln in BTC
by
Nina Lyon
on 08/03/2017, 14:54:00 UTC
Can we force scammers who have stolen up to $10 mln in Bitcoin to pay $1,000 to charity?

Coinidol.com News Outlet invites every member of the crypto-community to join the jury in the case, where scammers have allegedly stolen about $10,000,000.

Coinidol.com had to refuse to advertise the company of a suspicious client after our own study into their reliability. We found out that they have already stolen $10,000,000. By the time we had figured it out, they had already sent us $1,000.

We wanted to send that money back, but isn’t it odd to return stolen money to a thief who has taken that money from other people? However, we are not going to keep this money either. We don’t want stolen money. We believe that these funds should be sent to charity. But we want to set a precedent of market self-regulation without police to verify our decision with the votes of the community, just like we do to verify the block in the Bitcoin network. We want to act according to the decision of the crypto community.

Read details and participate in an open vote - https://coinidol.com/coinidol-to-hold-public-trial-of-razormind-scammers/
