I have received their email. The JWC token pool for pre-sale is running out of tokens, only a few tokens left. So if we want to own it, we have to deposit it right now.
If the power cord got very hot, then that means it's either faulty or too small or gauge to handle to power being pulled through it. You need to get a new, bigger gauge cable to start. Then you can determine if there was damage to the miner or psu (probably not). The miner likely shut down due to lack of power due to the crappy cable.
If the power cable got hot where it plugs into your adapter, then it could also be caused by the adapter.

If you set a static IP address, that may be your problem. I think Arris modem/routers use 10.x.x.x ips. But most home routers use 192.168.x.x So, if the miner is set to a 192.168.x.x address, that may be your issue. Follow the instructions under 4) configuration here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702653.0 to get it working.

If anyone out there wants to take over this coin and continue the development, I would be willing to donate coins to them. I have a very large chunk of Vape coins I mined, and will pay bounties to revive this.

There are at least a few miners still mining. Maybe at least one is the dev accumulating coins during the pow, and will come back in 1 month after it ends. I can't understand why he would put the time and effort into the coin, website, forum, and social media accounts at launch just to abandon it.
But for now, enjoy the easy mining. There are still about 2mill coins over the next 28 days to be mined. I've already accumulated a nice chuck, so I will leave these for others to mine. I will be ready to help promote this coin if / when the dev reappears. The idea behind this coin is a good one.

I also agree Vape, the dev, should be more active. Hopefully he is just busy with the holidays. I think this coin has good potential. I may know some people who could promote this coin, and help get it listed on Bittrex. @Dev let me know

This looks to be an interesting coin. A good idea with a lot of potential. I agree it needs to be added to Bittrex or Cryptsy to succeed. The premine is reasonable imo. It's 1% to 4% depending how you look at it. A lot of it is being used for giveaways, pools, block explorer, stores, etc. Having at least 1 store that accepts Vape will go a long way in helping this succeed.

Been following EXCL coin for a while. Looks to be a good coin with active community and dev support. Lots of upside potential. I'm buying and mining it.

I read that as meaning they pay 0.4 of the Scrypt speed until he actually gets the chips in mid January. This would be 12Mhs for the 10 share unit.
Has anyone heard back from Chris what 1/2.5 means? If it means the Scrypt shares pay out as x2.5, that's a damn good deal.

I am awake staring at the scripts, waiting for confirms too.
Thing is that there were several instances when consistent amount of coins were sort of double spent, because the software didn't proper wait for confirm to move forward with the sends.
I had to stop, move on manually, recheck every transaction, all under cold sweat. Ah, and for the record, I think this time was the first time I saw LTC daemon freezing because of network traffic.
And there is a very long list of things to do tomorrow..

It could be many things. Pool problems, local internet problems, local power problems (brownouts etc) You can test another pool to see if that's the problem. For internet and power, you would need monitor internet speed and power line voltage to see if there are drops. Another possible problem could be the router you have the miners connected that to. You should check that also.

I don't see anywhere in this post saying that you didn't scam syclone and dispute owing him for the 3000 shares plus lost mining income. That is the most relevant information. I am not surprised he is pissed and trying everything he can to get your attention and make things difficult for you.
Haven't been on for a few days. Since you ignorant fools are still spreading rumors and lies, I will fill you in on a real update. This syclone person has left me messages on social media, on my personal phone, on my work phone. He has contacted people I know including managers. He has sent me threats via phone and email. I had no choice but to contact my attorney/police for the harassment. I can see this is VERY relevant to this thread, as several of you are acting like this is a soap opera.
