Re: [ANN]OASIS - Community Governance Driven - PoS Masternode Coin v2.1.0 [UPDATES]
by
Pesh
on 23/03/2019, 03:22:18 UTC
OASIS is presently in final testing the Governance system, with 20 hours remaining (http://oasis.mn.zone/proposals) before the close of the test of the Governance System, with ~60% of Masternodes having submitted their vote.

The month of April will see the first official Governance Proposal submission ability by the community to direct the future of OASIS.

OASIS is currently trading on both Swiftex and AltMarkets, as well as OTC ability on MCT+, all found in the OP of this thread.

We have a new website on the horizon and will be releasing a new wallet and update soon, as we were prompt to respond to the PIVX "Wrapped Serials" Attack, and received notice from the PIVX Team for our prompt response.

https://medium.com/@dev.pivx/report-wrapped-serials-attack-5f4bf7b51701

Moving forward, the OASIS Team intends to maintain and grow OASIS, support the community and create the future the Community desires. If you are interested in participating, please join us in the Discord chat, where the community is prompt to reply and chat about the potential future for OASIS.

See you Inside The OASIS,

-Brandon James
We may be in a bear market. But OASIS never stops development! I see nothing but a path to success.

I'm grateful to have met such an inspiring community who have worked very hard to get back into gear, in hopes of dominating the crypto gaming market through PoS masternodes! With a team leader like Brandon and great development team this project is bound to be successful. The high levels of communication between the team members is of a standard which I have yet to come across. I look forward to seeing this project thrive. It's not a matter of if, it's only when.

i very much like the project, it is technically up to date and there will be a DEX very soon. The team is helpful and quick. I see a lot of energy put into InstaDEX. Good time to buy right now as well.
I'm surprised they are selling for so cheap...

if you are requiring kyc from clients later on, why is it that there are no team members listed on your website? is it anonymous exchange? how can you ask sensitive information if you are not providing your team info?
No one has yet asked for sensitive information mate. The exchange is not out yet. Team information will be provided and all.

I have seen many similar projects. What are your competitive advantages over others? I like that you use Masternode. this allows for fast and private transactions. However, this requires large investments. I do not see what you want to collect softcap and hardcap.
The Exchange website is being created as we speak. There is a screenshot on the discord channel if you have not already seen it. Android wallet and iOS wallet are being created. Advantages over other DEX coins out there is that we aim to provide one of the most effective and one of the fastest exchanges out there. The exchange is not a free source code you get online by cloning bitshares code. The exchange has had a lot of time, money and hard work put into it.

They are both clones of BlockNET. InstaDEX is created by a different entity and so is LBRT. They are two different coins with different goals. I hope you understand.

OK ... OK

Web site - CLONE. Design - CLONE.
You are entitled to your own opinion of course. But I will disagree with you there.

It's 3am here and bloody hell it's bright as day thanks to the colour outlay of this forum.
Use f.lux to help with the eye strain. It makes the screen yellowish (less blue) and lets you turn down the brightness of the screen. It's a life-changing software.

Cheers mate! I'm using it right now and it works wonders.

There was some talk of this a little while back bot sure whatever came of it. I usually just turn down my brightness... or go to sleep  Wink

Here is a thread with a work around, and you can bring up most of the discussion on the topic by typing night mode in the search bar.

Cheers mate. I google searched it and unfortunately got no results back when I entered day/night mode for BCT

It's 3am here and bloody hell it's bright as day thanks to the colour outlay of this forum. How hard would it be to implement a day/night mode switch button to this site? If it's already done then I do apologize and I will remove this thread ASAP. Just looking at the screen is an eye sore, I could turn the lights on of course but I family member wouldn't be happy with it on at all.

Re: Is there anyway I can get my hacked Legendary account off the guy who hacked me?

You can see the guy who hacked me is not a native English speaker and its obvious a change in ownership happened when I assume Bitcointalk was hacked.

So it seems they don't use it much these days but I wish I had control of it again. Is there any way?
Unfortunately, no. But what you can do is prevent hackers from gaining access to your account, making sure the password is very difficult and not related to you or your life in anyway shape or form. Maybe use a line from a song or a phrase from a book you read that has been ingrained in your memory and you know for a fact that you will remember those exact word in even 5 or 10 years time from now. I remember the lyrics to Akons smack that like I sang it yesterday (true story). Ehmm... My password is not related to that song in any way shape or form... I'll just change that right now then shall I? Again changing the password every now and then is also okay. Just make sure you write it down in a notebook somewhere and save files on hard drives and all sorts.

Re: Why aren't obvious scammers banned?
by
Pesh
on 05/08/2018, 02:03:55 UTC
Well it's partly because scammers aren't entirely obvious. Though most have similar shit posts a large majority have taken the time to make the project as convincing as it possibly can be. I remember just last week a coin called EAZY coin had been reported a scam because the developer deleted the discord channel. A month or two before that another coin called ALMEX had it's developer leave for some odd reason even though the project was thriving in terms of trade volume and coin price. Then there was SPARKS coin. The developer also left most likely because of the price drop but a scam is a scam non the less. There is a new community taking that over though, which by the way, are doing a wonderful job of taking it to the next level.

Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?)
by

seriously need to get to the next rank full member

Almost all of your posts are in the Altcoin section, 2/3 of these posts are for joining bounties so It make a lot of sense. Why would anyone give you merit for posting your participation?

Besides, don't expect much in the altcoin section in general, people don't even even read posts there.
I do agree with most of your comments. But I must say getting merits as a newbie or a Jr member with even 200 activity is very very difficult. There must be a system put into place that would allow users with 50 to 100 activity to gain 1 merit point for doing so up until they reach 500 activity which would mean they earn between 10 to 20 activity points and in doing so, they will hopefully merit another member who has a good point they have made or a good post they have created. Your points are right but if you look closely at this thread the only members that have received rewards are those who already are full member to legendary and only a hand full of other members have received them. Most members with 1000+ merits act like kings and queens of bitcointalk and rarely give out coins to the average user unless they are a friend or something or another. Of course they have every right to do so because they have earned the points and have worked hard for them in most cases but see for yourself, check other posts and threads. I'm not attacking legendary members or anything of that nature but the proof is in the pudding. Check for yourself.

Re: Where do you see crypto-currency take us in the next 5, 10, 15 or 20+ years?
by

on 04/08/2018, 22:43:01 UTC
It is really difficult to know where are we going to be in the next week so making a prediction about where we are going to be in the next decades is very difficult, personally I think a big economic crisis is coming in the next decades and if that is correct then many people will be looking for alternative methods to store their wealth and when they find bitcoin they will decide to invest in it so the value of bitcoin as a currency will go up.
Couldn't agree with you more. Well put. With the state the world is in right now then that sure as hell won't be long from now....

I hope that bitcoin finds its way into the main stream. Where it can be seen as one on the best currencies.this mainly my hope but i think after a couple of years we will stop seeing a lot of bitcoins exist or be created and we will start seeing a much smaller number of them while these top big pumped altcoins die away and give their place to good projects that are doing something real. for now we have to wair and see what happens.
That's the thing. It's not one of the best crypto's out there. It's the very first crypto, sure. But a lot of other projects are way ahead of BTC as it already is, I mean look at ETH, PIVX and DASH just to name a few.

Bitcoin has the first mover advantage, but now the core problem for Bitcoin is its adoption for small every day payments and its competition with Ethereum. Ethereum has faster transactions and much more utility features as compared to Bitcoin. Ethereum showed itself not just another cryptocurrency it focuses on the bigger problem, so it is adopting much faster as compared to Bitcoin, so it is really the thing to cause fall of BTC to level off.
Bitcoin’s value proposition is not digital currency - it is its methodology in guaranteeing the trustworthiness of digital currency. Fixing Bitcoin blockchain to overcome payment issues has become an obsession among platform developers but it is too difficult, even after LIghthing Network implementation cause the problem lies at the heart of its design. When a person buys or sells something using bitcoin, that transaction is broadcast to the entire bitcoin network - no matter how small or big.
I could not agree with you more. I honestly believe PIVX could take the lead and probably will take the lead eventually as the fastest coin out there with transaction speed  of 5 to 10 seconds! More and more coins are forking from PIVX and its turning out to become very popular among-st the users/community. Have you ever tried it? I can get my coins on the exchange from my wallet within 5 minutes and sell them in seconds.

It is mathematical that the future will be crypto. They are the best type of coins that the market will choose instead of the old fiat.
I hope so mate. I have seen more and more shops in the UK accepting crypto, in fact last month I bought some BTC from a cash machine but it was a rip off. Cost me around 15% more to buy a coin from there.

i think in the virtual world. like there's no more real cash because its all virtual, all the payments and transactions can be done virtually.
Yeah we already see it in games such as fortnite and many others...
