Hopefully MBC has the decency of hiring a reputable firm to handle the receivership.
Being offshore that's the only realistic way I can think of for users to have some faith that they received the maximum amount of btc possible in liquidation.
Of course transaction logs of the theft are also a must.

Btc sent.
The dyslexic bra joke was the funniest.
From now one I'll start selecting the funniest entries.
BitFlow will be an exchange. I'd also appreciate it if you don't compare us with a scam outfit.
U Mad Bro?
In case you haven't noticed, anyone that shows up on these boards claiming to keep others BTC safe with their site MyUberSafeWalletTown.org or whatshisname raises red flags (or should) for most people, myself included. You know, since it's an untraceable anarchocryptocurrency and all. Too easily exploited at this juncture, my man, by people who want to earn just the minimum amount of trust needed to take the money and run. Your site looks like a half-assed template, it's hosted by GoDaddy, and the email is a Gmail account. Plus you're wearing an argyle sweater vest and tooling around in your dinghy. Red flags to me, chief.
I wasn't making claims about BitFlow specifically in this thread. Just pointing out someone will need to offer a safe, trusted wallet solution.
The production site isn't live yet. What you see now at bitflow.org is just a standard page by unbouncepages.com.
The production site will be hosted by AWS.
Let's keep this thread about the need (or not) for a good wallet solution going forward.
I hope so. Not planning to add it to my exchange as I want to be in the business of building an exchange, not of charging high commissions to insure against chargeback fraud.
The reality is that Bitcoin will never get mainstream adoption without easy to use online wallets.
Obviously there is a trust issue in the market now but nothing that the market can't solve going forward.
And we have another problem with the mainstream adoption. When I pay to another address some coins, that transaction may take at least 10 minutes to get over.
Online wallets must also resolve this issue.
That's where green wallets kick in i.e. the online wallets send their payments via one of their central wallets so people know (from experience, reputation) that the payment is real even if it still needs to get confirmed.

Dwolla is still accepted by MtGox.
Dwolla is adding some extra requirements though (photo id), but has not raised fees AFAIK.

Great idea. Make sure it doesn't get used as an assassination market though.

I'd like to get my account out of newbie status as I've already been contributing to the forum using the user name "pjce".
The reason I made this new account is to be more public (use real name) when I launch a new Bitcoin exchange called BitFlow soon.
My Facebook and Linkedin are in the footer.
Edit: I also made 5 posts helping newbies with this account so the only thing I need is to cancel the time logged in requirement to speed up my account upgrade.
As you can see the most used exchanges are MtGox and TradeHill. BitFlow hopes to join their ranks soon.

Would this SMS service be global or US only?
(Not read entire thread so apologies if already answered.)

Re: Potential flaw with bitcoins in absolutes?

Bitcoins are divisible and set up to be traded in fractions.
A big wallet getting deleted would simply raise the prices for all other bitcoins.
Not exactly something to be afraid of.

BitFlow will double the payout to a fantastic 2 bitcents per laugh!
If the OP doesn't pay out anymore, we'll take over.
OP, let us know whether you are still picking the good laughs or not.

We're going to launch a new Bitcoin exchange soon with a bank account in Belgium. Won't solve your problem entirely but it might cut down a day in the bank transfer.
