i would be very interested to hear more about very low market cap projects similiar to eth, neo... Smiley

I bought some lamden, but really a small amout, not really comfortable with the dev situation there

ARK seems pretty solid from what I've read so far

Neblio is really low market cap, and seems to support many languages, but there must be a reason why its still so low in price with that total supply

my hopes are in EOS, though there are 1B coins out there and its already under top10 on CMC, I think its dan larimer who lets me still feel comfy when buying eos.

But as you already mentioned above, I'm also interested in other small market cap projects, not quite sure if I should put my ETH in something smaller with more potential gains, maybe even NEO.. This could skyrocket even more as well i guess

Eth,neo, eos, stratis, ark, steem, neblio, etc? which one will be #1?
by

I start to read more and more FUD about ETH's solidity language, and of course on the Gas dilemma which some platforms handle better than eth (i.e. EOS). dont get me wrong, I'm most in ETH and still bullish on it for 2018, but with recent rises of NEO and the launch of EOS in June there might be some strong competitors to ETH. I know there is a lot to come for ETH with plasma etc, but will it be enough?
lately I started to recognize ARK and NEBLIO more and more, don't know much about them just that they support way more languages (Python, java, javascript,Ruby, node,C# i.e.) aren't these more user-friendly for developers to build something on these Platforms? I'm not a developer myself, so maybe I'm talking full bullshit here, but these questions came to my mind when I did some research on these projects.

Coming to my question here, what do you think will be the #1?
would be nice to hear someone who actually did some developing on any of these platforms or has more indepth knowledge than a newb like me.

Hey everyone,

I'm feeling my portfolio is too diversified and I've put too much in the big ones.
Pretty fresh to the cryptoscene, started november. What do you think?

32% Ltc
26% Eth
20% Btc
8% Xrb
5% Eos
5% Trx
2% Ven
1% Iota
1% Eltcoin
<1% Link

Well I think you are doing good. Good mix but again it all depends on what you want. If you want to value crypto you should stay with BTC, LTC, ETH and if you want returns probably find some emerging coins like BNB XRB, etc. What I do is, I put 25% on BTC+ETH+DASH, 50% in MidCap like XRB VEN EOS etc. and rest 25% in lower 100's. I think if you get good coin in lower 100, you have good change of making serious money.

Thought about a similiar split. I guess I will get rid of BTC or LTC, because as earlier mentioned, they are pretty much gaining the same value/losses, and definitley cutting some % there to get around 30% in the big ones together. I'm really bullish on EOS and XRB, think I will dumb it in these two and maybe in a Monero to get around 40-50% in this "mid class" coins. The rest is going for the small obe like you mentioned. When they rise I will take my profits there and put it in bew snall coins or just add more in the Top/mid coins with the profits.

Hope this will work out somehow Smiley pretty excited about this year Smiley

It depends, are you a professional? Do you analyze the market every day, and do daily research on the coins? If you are, then your good and if you dont then you might be screwed. You should only invest in coins you keep up with, unless you are okay with the gambling.

I pretty much try to stay updated on every coin I hold, mostly via reddit/telegram/discord but, its hard to filter the fomo/fud spreading people out and get the real news on every coin each day. I'm not a fulltime crypto guy, sadly still on my average 9-5 job but I spend way more time researching than I would have ever guessed Smiley so I'm not a professional but I'm interested and putting time in research/learning

Re: Lamden, the most undervalued enterprise blockchain out there
by

Lamden [TAU] is one of the most undervalued Blockchain constructs out there, its been traded now on etherdelta and IDEX, whales are starting to accumulate slowly because its a hidden gem and somewhat still hard to get.
Lamden is making crossplatform atomic swaps smartcontracts, feeless and with over 10k tx/s with DPOS System.
The coin went down a little because of the korean fud shakeup wich brought all coins into the red zone. It was at 1.31USD now iddling at 1.08USD.

Its actually word of mouth and very insider atm. Its at the same stadium like many big coins that went after x20-x100. This is a good time to look at the project and make a smart decision.
Their telegramm userbase is increasing daily insanly fast with a userbase now of over 5k.

Telegram channel: https://t.me/lamdenchat

Homepage:          https://www.lamden.io/

More information: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/lamden/#markets
It has already over 2mil daily trading volume, wich speak for itself!

Scroll way down to etherdelta and add new token or copy my link:

https://etherdelta.com/#0xc27a2f05fa577a83ba0fdb4c38443c0718356501-ETH

Contract Address:   0xc27a2f05fa577a83ba0fdb4c38443c0718356501
Token Decimals:    18

I think it has a huge growth potential in 2018, especially when people realize how awesome atomic swaps is, only think I dont get is why they use Python as language, aren't there better ones out there?

Could eth de-crown BTC in 2018?
by
Phewphewphew
on 28/01/2018, 12:11:23 UTC
I'm pretty bullish on both of them, but I always felt like eth could not reach BTC value, because of BTC first mover advantage and the fact that its supply is limited.
Also andreas antonopoulos lets me stay calm when people around me start spreading FUD that BTC is dying and its a dinosaur ( FYI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBnC9AhKjws I know its not really up to date but the facts remain the same)

now as ETH is rising again I can read the same things everywhere, that ETH will overtake BTC place in crypto, but I can't really believe it.

What do you guys think?

I like the idea of the project, and I believe atomic swaps are gonna be big this year. What finally convinced me to buy was the price drop and the AMA on discord.
Hope the Team keeps on going to accomplish the roadmap

Nothing wrong with that although none of those coins have much room for huge returns, perhaps this is the risk level you prefer.
Tron I feel is just as likely to go down in value vs go up, and if it does go up it won't be a huge multiplier.

What sort of returns are you expecting and do you have a period of time in mind?

I bought the most coins for holding long term ( min. 1 year ) but as you mentioned above with tron, I try to et rid of them as soon as it hits 0,1 again. Read through many opninions here and I guess I will let go my LTC as soon as its gets also a bit higher. I will try to diversify a bit more in small coins which yield great growth potential. Not quite sure which ones to pick here but at the moment I'm reading into Lamden (TAU) and doing some research. I was also thinking of putting even more in XRB, I really believe in raiblocks (nano soon) and feel comfortable with the idea of holdig more of it.

this is one of the worst portfolios i have ever seen

why are you in crypto? to lose your money in a crash? you have nothing that can go x50.

i actually make x50 on some of the coins you are holding but i already sell them.

if you want something with potential buy metaverse, spacechain, iostoken, tnt, titanium blockchain, zoin (privacy) .....

those are coins that can go x50 or more...... and those coins will not lose much if there is a crash like the big ones....

you buy really stupid.... you only can lose with your portfolio.... unless you think crypto market can print unlimited money with tether... but even then... you do realize millions of people bought your coins for much cheaper? they have thousands, ten thousands.. and they will all sell before you... and then there is nothing left for you to make earnings

Ok, I see what you mean. Coinbase lured me in and btc/ltc/eth were all I knew at the moment and seemed solid for me :/
I'm trying to get rid of LTC as soon as it goes a bit higher. Will do some research on the coins you mentioned.

For example, someone told me it's nonsense to hold btc and ltc, because ltc follows btc pumps/dips and I should only hold 1 of them.
Should I consider adding a privacy coin?
Or even more "platform" coins like eth?

Some years ago I read that some smart people start investing in copper instead of gold, because it "will" be more worth in the long run... dunno if this will ever come true but I can see the logic behind that... you just need more copper than gold and it is also limited.

Bitcoin is a worldwide and global phenomenon and can't just be banned from 1 or 2 countries, there is no Company behind it they could shut down or collect them and store them somewhere... so how would a country ban bitcoin? please enlighten me

Re: TRON SCAM: TRUTH OR FUD...WHAT'S YOUR TAKE?
by
Phewphewphew
on 16/01/2018, 13:35:50 UTC
I bought tron in december around 0,03$ and i'm still holding, because I don't feel like Justin sun is a scammer or even has the need to do such thing to earn money.. he accomplished already amazing things despite his young age. That's why I believe he wouldn't pull off such an giant scam, he got too many credibilty too lose. Another thing for me to keep tron was the fact that the asian market is so much faster than the western, especially in adopting new things. If the tron network achieves its roadmap goals, it will be a huge and pretty fast the standard, at least for the asian region.

but i can also be totally wrong and he could vanish tomorrow Cheesy you never know

There are so many good coins out there, and everyone is on sale today, so it doesn't really matter which one you pick^^
I personally believe that coins which got an outstanding tech like XRB and IOTA for example have a bright future for 2018, also the coins which don't function as a currency only, better pick these which provide a plattform for developers like Ethereum, Neo, Omisego, Eos, steem, etc

but as I said, it#s only my opinion Smiley

Re: 9 Reasons Bitcoin Could Hit $100,000 Or More
by
Phewphewphew
on 15/01/2018, 22:05:19 UTC
I think Bitcoin is the only one who can ever accomplish 100K and even beyond... not only because it was the first Crypto-currency and got his first-mover stamp but because it proofed itself over the time... all this new technologies which claim they can do better as bitcoin haven't even felt a glimpse of the stress-tests Bitcoin went through. Bitcoin was tested and is tested in the moment, but only because Bitcoin could withstand all these problems till now, shows how strong it/the tech is. Heavy lies the crown... Other cryptos state that they fix this problem and that problem, but they only got to know there were these kind of problems because of Bitcoin.. and still , The King is standing....

I think every problem Bitcoin encounters makes it stronger, approves the Tech behind it and shows why it is the #1
