Re: Will this be a mistake or not for Victor Osimhen
by
Pi$$
on 28/05/2025, 06:28:46 UTC

Osimhen is only 26 years old. He has a long journey ahead of him. He should have chosen a club in the Premier League or Serie A. But he is only interested in signing with Al Hilal for the money. If he goes to Al Hilal, Osimhen will earn a big amount of money for a few years. But it will not be good for his career.
It's funny how we easily conclude that these players are fullish enough to just make a career defining decision without a proper thought about it. Believe me that we are just eating from the crumbs of information we get from media houses, the players and their managers alone knows better what's really going on and why certain transfer doesn't end up going as expected and an alternative option is being looked into.

Deciding to go to the Saudi league is just a matter of choice based on a well thought out process. It's either that every variable doesn't support him going to the premier league and he decides he will end up going to the Saudi league or that he really wants to play for the league. Al hilal  is not a bad club after all and a lot of good players are available in the club that he can play along with. If that's his decision, then there's no point of tagging his decision a stupid one, football is all about the passion and money, if money is his driving force to al hilal, then it's better he follows what he wants. It's his skill and he has the right to decide how to use It.

Re: What do we make of chaos at Liverpool's trophy parade?

This is a pure act of terrorism that was targeted at killing innocent lives I don't think that it was from opposition teams fans this type of incident are regrettable the police should investigate this matter thoroughly and bring the culprit to book I believe that the person who was in the car has been arrested further enquiries should be made and let everyone who is involved in this act of terrorism be brought to the law
Whatever it is that is the reason for this action shows how evil the heart of man is to have crushed your fellow human being in an heartless manner as this.

The sad reality is that he's been caught and if there's any sort of political connection to this incident, he might get away with it while the people that have already suffered this will be left to face Thier fate all by themselves. If he eventually goes to the prison, the pain he will face will be nothing compared to the pain of suffering the kind of injury most of the victims will go through. A 50+ years old person having such a mind to carry on such an evil act? He's just lucky that he's from a developed part of the world where incident of mob action is not too popular if not, he wouldn't have been alive to even see the four walls of the prison. The stupid love and show of loyalty to a particular club is worth talking up laws into once hands to this extent.

Re: Are we really using crypto as a currency... or just holding it like digital gold
by
Pi$$
on 28/05/2025, 05:50:48 UTC
👉 Do you personally see crypto more as:

A long-term store of value (something to hold)?
Maybe at the start, the idea wasn't for it to primarily be a long term store of value but at the present, it obviously has become a store of value and the majority of holders use it for that purpose rather than using it for frequent transaction. Because of the potential of some crypto expecially bitcoin, selling it too soon looks like a wrong investment strategy and the narrative we've been seeing has been mostly towards that direction. Using it as a long term store of value doesn't take out the fact that it cold also be used as an alternative currency but factors like increased transaction fee makes it deficult to use It for such purpose.

And if you don’t spend your crypto — what would it take to make you start?
Maybe if bitcoin becomes less volatile and there's no indication that it will get bullish in the future I might reconsider holding it further than this but as long as things continues to get better and the market continues to be favourable to most holders, I will opt for holding it rather than spending It. The advantages with holding your coin is that you can decide to spend it at whatever time you want to but once you've spent it, regardless of how bullish the market later gets to, you're never going to benefit from it again.

But what of when your children are now of age and still not showing an interest in learning about bitcoin for future investments regardless of your efforts, do you pressure them then for their own good?
The only thing I will suggest that as a parent you can force on your children is to make them go after knowledge while the are young by all means. When they have learned and have gathered enough knowledge, they should be able to make the decision on their own wether or not to start investing in an asset while they are still young or not. While they are young, most times they don't really have money that much apart from that which is giving to them by friend and family members, the highest you can help them do is to encourage them rn build a saving lifestyle so they don't just spend all the income they are recieving.

Children needs more of training and investment into acquisition of knowledge rather than investing In an asset,  they need to be encouraged to take responsibility of their lives early enough and by that way, when they grow into young adult, they can comfortably decide by themselves that they are getting fully involved in bitcoin investment and get it done easily without stress.

At this juncture, I want us to look at the potential risk by which this my friend has come to expose himself.
Or is there a smart move of him you can commend of him on that?
Your closest friend today can in the future turn out to be your enemy. Sharing a lot of sensitive information with him always back fire you in so many ways in the long run either when you guys are not in good terms or when he feels you're doing way better than him.

For his case, even if you will in the future need the help of your friend, you don't need to tell him so much before you can get his help, a friend should be able to come through for you even without you exposing to much details about your financial state. Even after you've fed him with the many information, when it's time for him to leave you stranded, he's going to do so as though you don't have a single atom of trust on him. There's a popular saying that goes thus, "someone that will help you won't stress you and this is purely true. A friend that will help you will eventually help you even if you don't make it look so obvious that you're looking for help from him.

I think the rumors surrounding De Bruyne and Napoli is real, KDB already said that he feels very good in his body to continue playing at the very top level and that is what he is going to do by all means.
That will be a great move for him, I'm already looking at how he's going to blend well with  Lukaku upfront giving him a lot of assist that will yield a lot of goals for the team. Truth is that at the level of Kevin debryn, he's going to continue playing really well for any club he chooses to go to till he decides it's time to retire. He's just going to be like Luka modric, even though age isn't on his side, his few minutes of play always makes a lot of difference in his team.

Kevin debryn can't play in Europe again because of the bond he's built with Manchester city, it will be deficult for him to suddenly play for another team in same league which will place him at a position of playing against his club too often, at least in Italia seria A, he's going to experience a totally different football setting. If that option doesn't work out for him, then the next stop will be to try out the the Saudi league just for the fun till he eventually will decide to retire. He's seen it all in his football career so there's nothing too serious to fight for any longer.

The Nigeria Football Federation has officially confirmed that Felix Agu is now eligible to play for the Super Eagles. Felix Agu currently plays for SV Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga. His performance has led to his clearance he plays the position of a full back, Which means he can fit in left back or right back. What's your though on him guys?
Our defense has not been that bad so if we are considering adding more players to the team, we should be looking at other wings like the midfield that needs more fluidity and possibly the attack that needs more support. The right and left back are in the good hands of Kevin bassey and Ola Aina who are doing really well to hold down that position. At least, they've not been totally awful and are even getting better by the season.

We need two main thing in the team and until we see an intentional effort towards that angle, it will look as though we are not ready for something tangeable in our national team. We can't afford to depend on only osimehn and lookman as our attackers, we need addition to it and most importantly, the midfield has to work well so our attackers can get more of the ball, if that's not on ground then getting more diffense will still place us at this fix.

Re: Imagine how long Bitcoin will be around
by

Just imagine when Bitcoin is 150 years old, where its price will be and how many people will possess any Bitcoin.
This is really the second time within same day I'm seeing some threads that does some really vague speculation that kind of seems like one that has no bases. 150 years from now is a very long time that you can't tell what will eventually become of the world at the time. If in less than 20 years we've seen the level of innovation we currently have now, do you want to imagine what will happen in the next 50 years time let alone to consider what will happen in the next 150 years?

The certainty about this is that none of us will live to see the next 150 years regardless of how much bitcoin we have. The whole generation of bitcoin enthusiast would have all died and a new one would have taken over and how bullish they are about bitcoin will be the main factor that will determine how much they will contribute to bitcoins continuous existence. Regardless of how bullish we are about bitcoin, we can't be too sure of what it will become in the next 50 years.

Re: When a Food Company Buys Bitcoin
by
Pi$$
on 27/05/2025, 06:27:43 UTC
DDC, a Hong Kong food company, just bought 21 BTC ($2.28M), announced big plans (wants 5,000 BTC in three years), and the market nuked their stock (down 14.5% in a day). Compare that to MicroStrategy, which has gone full Bitcoin company with 580250 BTC and seen their shares run circles around the S&P500, and DigiAsia, a fintech out of Asia, which got an 80-130% stock pop on similar news.
The issue is with coming into the market at the wrong time and looking at just short term reaction without understanding that in the long run, it's bound to get better than whatever correction there's at the moment. Microstrategy has seen it all and even though in the long run they have gotten a good stretch of profit, there are also times along there investment journey that they have equally experienced a downtime in the short term.

The market is not selective of those in the tech ecosystem or those in the food or a random sector, if you have the proper knowledge on how bitcoin works and how volatile the market can be in the short run, whatever plan you're making won't be time bound on a shirt term basis. Going 14.4% down might just be a short term reaction to the market condition that if allowed to stay for long might still get back to a positive track. You can't judge the potential end of an investment by just how the market is reacting on a short term.

Re: How fast can BTC reach 120K level?
by
Pi$$
on 27/05/2025, 06:05:40 UTC
Seems like BTC just hit the resistance level at 110K

Are we going to see BTC breaking 120K level sooner?

How fast can it reach and what is everyone thinking of?

Are you greedy or what? You said it, Bitcoin just hit $110k, and you instantly want to know when it will hit $120k. Where is the fire? This is second time during one week when Bitcoin surpasses $110k mark. Imo it needs first to settle on that level, become strong, holders and traders must get used to that price before going further. But you want price to go further and soon. After Bitcoin reaches $120k, you will ask when $130k?
It's easy to call number and we've seen people speculating outrageous figures they are hoping that bitcoin will all of a sudden get to because of a sudden bull. Such only shows the absent of proper emotional maturity to know that bitcoin doesn't just fly up because we wish it does so, going to this value and even if it experience some sort of resistance doesn't for any reason mean that it's not going up again.

$120k relative to how far bitcoin has come is something we can say certainly that we will see in the future. As an intentional long term holder, it's better to just tag it future which can be in months, or years, either way, because you're investing for the long term, you're not going to be all too bothered because you're not influenced by mere short term market reaction. Every investor wants to make profit from his investment and so the anticipation of a new bull is not something that everyone is not anticipating, we will get their and eventually go pass that in the future but it will just be a matter of time.

Ornstein is finally coming with interesting news. He's tweeting about Amorim who told Garnacho to leave from the club. I obviously agree to let him leave as he gets no trust under him, and no reason to keep him much longer.
It will be so good to see him goes to the Atletico Madrid, but wondering whether MU is still being so harsh in selling him for expensive price.

If they still price him so high. None will ever buy him. They must not follow their ego, and let him go out with some discounts.  Shocked
I'm sure it will attract Atletico's interest.

Who cares? They have to do all they can to let him go completely. This is a ruthless call from the manager if I must say, but this is not the time to support players who have no such desires to fight for the club or put the club first ahead of them. I have no doubts about his potential and what great player he's gonna grow into but he has done well. Getting profits from grown academy players gives me joy.  Godspeed with him to the next phase.
Hope Garnacho gets a new club that can suit him well, but seems none is willing to acquire him for €71 m. Although such price already dropped a bit, napoli seems still reluctant to agree with it. Still wait an offer that may come from Atletico.
Garnacho will leave Manchester United and do better than he's ever done throughout his stay at the club. It's no doubt that the environment and the whole Manchester United system is not a favourable one for most of these players and they are just trying very hard to stay because of the reputation the club has outside.

Anthony is already lamenting how deficult things was throughout the time he stayed at the club and garnacho might even be going through same fate but loved the club too much to be verbal about it. I wouldn't even want him to play for Napoli but will any day, anytime wish that he plays for an EPL team that suits his kind of playing style. Even though Chelsea seems like a rival team, he's more suited in the Chelsea wing than playing for united without his effort being noticed.

Re: unrealistic target make us lose in gambling

It’s happened to me many times. That’s why I think it’s better to do the opposite: start with a decent capital and aim for smaller, more realistic wins. It keeps you grounded and helps you manage your emotions better.
The target most gamblers set are my mostly delusional and unrealistic and it all springs from the fact that they assume that winning big or things working out the way they've planned it to us usually very easy. If everyone that hopes to win big like you eventually does that, where will that place those running gambling businesses?

One things I've always had at the back of my mind is that most times, a lot of the things I'm hoping to try out in a bid of proving that I'm smart have prior to my entry into the gambling space been tried by others who most times have lost in such trials. You can wish for certain height as a gambler but you can't dictate what will eventually play out above what has been designed to happen. If you're lucky to win, good for you and if you set a target and it works for you, that's also good but if all you've planned for didn't work or your bankroll is not enough to meet all the things you're expecting to bet on, it's best to focus on what you can control and not what's above your control.

Re: Holding Bitcoin the more could have doubled the Portfolio
by
Pi$$
on 26/05/2025, 12:27:43 UTC
Being a Bitcoin holder is not a silly action and don't be discouraged to sell even when it dips, instead buy the dip the more and continue to hold.
As long as you're going to sell your bitcoin at some point and it remains that bitcoin will continue to grow into new ATH, this reality is what every investor will eventually experience and There's nothing wrong when you sell your bitcoin because you feel you're at a profit or that you've held long enough to have reached the goal you've set for yourself.

Some persons starting buying at the price of $50k and did so with the intention that once bitcoin gets to $100k, they were going to sell off Thier holding. If they sell at that point and in the next five years bitcoin price gets to $150k, does that mean they should regret Thier actions? Not at all? It's about setting a plan and being through to yourself while you're following that plan. For government and big institutions and whales that have the means of coming in and exiting at the time they want, they can literally afford to stay till they are at a slight percentage of profit and still be more profitable than those that will stay invested for years. It's about the difference in capital.

Re: Africa on the Rise as more military coup sweep across the contents
by

As much as a change in the leadership structure of most African country can help Africa manage and become fully responsible for the way her resources is being used, the military aren't different from the civilian that have at one point or the other been involved in African leadership.

A military government that lacks proper goal on how to make the African economy better will in the long run become a simple tool in the hands of external influence who have mastered the art of willing things to her favour. The revolution that can make Africa a country that's completely in charge of her resources will in reality spring from civilians that are from the winds of the youths and that has the potential and will of implementation of policies that will make Africa better.

One of the major issue most African countries are facing is the lack of continuity in the leadership structure the operate. An administration comes in and comes up with a developmental policy and another comes up with something entirely different without improving on what the former has done. Coup is the worse version of such scenario.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2024/25
by
Pi$$
on 24/05/2025, 10:21:58 UTC
Real Betis played the last game of the league and finished the league.
Antony scored again, this guy has been playing well since he got here.
Real Betis will focus on the Conference League final from now on.
They will play the final with Chelsea on Wednesday and they will do everything to win, a tough match awaits them.
Yes, currently Betis' match in Laliga is over and with that, Betis players can indeed be much more focused on the final match against Chelsea. Because in my opinion this match will definitely be very difficult for Betis, because Chelsea is not an easy team to beat, because in the English league Chelsea has always been able to make its opponents have difficulty. That is why the dedication of Betis players really has to be optimized right now. Because this conference league is a golden opportunity for Betis to get a trophy. In addition, if we look at the record of the last 5 matches from Betis and Chelsea, Chelsea's results are much better.
It's a final and so from both angles, there's going to be a source of derivation of strength and motivation that will be needed because both Chelsea and real Betis are all hoping to win this trophy. It's a season of wonder and a lot of unexpected results coming out so I'm certain that both teams are quite aware of what's at stake in this game.  Chelsea has two games left and both games is a must win for them. They have to get a spot in the champions of next season so playing against Nottingham forest will be a game that will be followed as a final, against real Betis, it's the only realistic trophy they can think of laying hold of and so, they will still brace up in an attempt to getting the lead. Either way, it's going to be a very tough and interesting game to look out for.
Because Chelsea was able to win 4 matches out of the last 5 matches they played. While Betis was unable to win even one of their last 5 matches.
Sadly, this doesn't count in this case. Remember that Chelsea have struggled all season to win a single big club till this moment. Real Betis on the other hand has dealt with the big teams so the mentality is already there that they can also do much more against Chelsea. They both have the mentality and players to get the result done but it looks like Betis might be the most likely to take this home.

The reason why Victor Boniface was nowhere to be found this season is because Bayer Leverkusen didn't perform well this season, and Victor Boniface didn't score so many goals the way he scored for Bayer Leverkusen last season, so that prevented Victor Boniface from being noticed this season. If Victor Boniface can be consistent next season and score so many goals for Bayer Leverkusen, he will regain his relevance in the world of football.

I saw that, but don't you think even though Bayern Leverkusen was like that he could have also created his own name as he normally do?, when Victor Boniface was very relevant Bayern Leverkusen wasn't far from how they are now but it didn't affect Victor Boniface, so why this time?. So actually we should accept the fact that even if Bayern Leverkusen had a stunt growth they did not cause everything for Victor Boniface, alot of Nigerians are already becoming disappointed because we have lost a quality, however if they still conclude is the fault of Bayern Leverkusen the truth will be cleared when super eagles will resume.
According to Fiatless, Victor Boniface suffered from some injuries this season, which I think was also a reason why Victor Boniface failed to score so many goals this season, as he scored for Bayer Leverkusen last season. If you are expecting Victor Boniface to perform better when he plays for the Super Eagles, just remove that thought from your mind because a lot of Nigerian players who used to play well in their respective clubs always fail to replicate the same performance when they play for the Super Eagles.
Even when victor Boniface was at his best at Bayern Leverkusen, when he comes to play for the national team, he suddenly becomes a big flop producing little to no result as a top striker that he's supposed to be. Being on injury is just an excuse to tell his real personality because from the look of things, he's nothing close to the standards of the likes of victor osimehn that will single handedly carry both Thier country and club regardless of the state they find the team in.

When osimehn gets injured and Boniface has to stand in the gap, the vacuum is usually broad and you could easily tell that something is missing in the team, if Boniface gets injured and osimehn is available, it's rare to even know that a striker of his calibar is missing in the team. What does that then tell of him? It simply shows that he's not yet at that level and still have a lot of work to be done. We can even assume that the reason why he's doing well sometimes at Bayern Leverkusen is because the clubs playing pattern suits his. What happens when he leaves the club to another club and underperforms? But that have a negative tail on his career.

Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025
by
Pi$$
on 23/05/2025, 12:17:26 UTC
I read the news this morning and I see that the Manchester United management is not going to fire Amorim. Well, that's not surprising considering how loyal they were to all the previous coaches, but as history shows, none of them could last long, if they start a new season with the same results as they finished this one, they will be looking for a replacement. In addition, Manchester United would have spent significantly more on transfers if they won the Europa League final, and after losing, I doubt that Amorim will receive much funding.
It doesn't make sense for the club to sack Amorin who has only been in charge for half a season, it will drain the pocket if he is sacked, give him a long chance because everything needs a process.
After the defeat of the Europa League final I read the news that Man United will lose a lot of money including from sponsorship and broadcasting rights in addition they no longer compete in the European league this makes a lot of losses for the club.
Of course, their sponsors are disappointed at them and nobody will love to promote a weak team because it will look as if you are throwing your funds away. Amorim isn't the cause of United failure in the finals. Their problems have been lingering around before the arrival of Amorim. What United needs is to get a quality attacker to supplement with the few good ones.
Overall this team needs to be changed and I think Amorim deserves to be kept and given time to build the Manchester United team he wants and of course it must be with the support of management.
I see the weakness of the Manchester United team not only in the front line but overall due to the bad team built by Ten Hag in the past and now Amorim has a very difficult task and to be honest I am a little pessimistic about it.
At least, Amorim was bold enough to come up with a policy and team he felt would work for the team but it's just unfortunate that what he thought is going to be the solution didn't end up working as he had planned because  of the kind of players he's working with. When he came in, there was the discussion of wether or not he's bringing in some boys from sporting cp which will help play with some of the already existing players in the team. But for now, it's now clear that the problem of Manchester United is not just a coaching problem but more of a faulty playing system that is affecting the players already.

Next season since they won't be playing so much games apart from the premier league games, maybe he together with the whole team will be able to concentrate on the premier league to at least fight to make it to topping the group before the end of the season. next season is going to be for them a season of going back to the drawing board and see which place they have done wrong a d how they can can do better so going forward they will have a team they can at least work on the more season to come.

Re: Could High Payouts Be Hurting Your Sports Betting Strategy? Here’s My Opinion!
by
Pi$$
on 23/05/2025, 11:53:26 UTC
My idea is to not only look at the payout but at the true probability behind a game. When the actual chance of winning is higher than the odds, know that you’ve found your perfect opportunity.
It's only greedy gamblers that are only after the pay out while neglecting a key factor like the team that has the highest probability of getting a win. People have different gambling strategies, some go across different league and just check list of games which has an high percentage of giving them a win, they pick those games and just stake on them and if it's a lucky day they shine with it.

Some also choose one or two games and without considering how small the odds are they stake with an high amount and it because of the amount used, the returns makes a lot of difference.  Take greed out and gamble realistically and you will experience less of losses throughout your bet, it's only when your eyes is all fixed on what you can stand to gain via just the potential returns that results in losses. Gambling is not just for the profit, gamble for fun and when you see clear chance of earning from it then you can go on to carry such bets, doing so will make you be more selective on games rather than jumping after every game that comes our way.

Cases of attacks on crypto holders and there family is becoming too frequent and it should be a serious cause of concern to all investors because anyone can be the victim. If you're poor, you're going to face your own share if problem and when you're rich and well to do, you're not even immuned from this rage of a problem that has eaten deep into our society.

Sometimes I pity family members of some well to do individuals because they most times suffer from this kind of attack because the main person that owns the asset might have enough security systems around him which will help him stay protected from those sort of attacks. As a person that knows your parents are influential figures based on the kind of asset they own that the public have knowledge of, it's best to take your safety seriously knowing fully well that a lot of eyes are all looking at you with negative intention.

We have many of this news now, I think I am going to make a thread that all the threads can be reported. Hope it is good?

Unless you want to keep working until the day you die then it will not be enough.
If you don't save, there's no possibility that you will be able to invest. It's that simple. Everything doesn't look perfect from start and this is the reason why starting off with savings is quite a better way to start.

Also, we have to establish the fact that it's not by who earns the most that is going to have that ability of saving or investing more. Savings and investing involved an high level of discipline regardless the amount of money you're earning. Remember that humans wants are  insatiable and with more money comes the thought that one should fix a lot of wants. If you're not the type that is able to keep all his wants under subjection because of your plan to saving, you might earn the highest amount of money in the room but be the least if them that saves me invest most. Untill you actually starts investing, you will never understand the discipline that's required to be a fruitful investor.
