Re: 🌍[Guide] Prevent scam!!! Seven useful tools for find scam / fake ICO team 🌍
by

Whoa this is awesome! I rarely have the time to browse the forum and this would really help determine which bounty to join. I also noticed that COINECT and XEONFRAME are proven scam thanks to you and these sites. Would it be too much if i'd ask you to check KONIOS as well? It's also a Wapinter managed campaign and i'm really scared considering how much time i've been here.

Thanks! Much appreciated!

By number 2, do you mean forex? Ain't that much harder compared to ordinary trading with cryptos and stocks? I mean i can say that i have few to little amount of knowledge when it comes to stocks and cryptonbut not forex...

Although i agree to divide everything into three. It's truly wise to gain little by little instead of going all out, that's a huge gamble.

Youtube and google always has the answer. You just gotta be thorough.

Also, i think if i'm not mistaken hitBTC has somewhat like a trading simulation, i've read it before but i can't seem to recall the exact details. I don't even know if it's really HitBTC but from what i thought on that certain time, it would be great to test my trading skills with those.

Re: Best trading signals group is?
by

on 18/07/2018, 10:15:53 UTC
Signal groups are so obvious when they're trying to convince people to dump their coins, it really is. And besides, you gotta learn for yourself for there's no other else to help you but you. having a mentor will be great but it's not advisable to always rely on him, you should learn. Do everything to learn but not signal groups.

Man how long are you spending time here on the forum to actually find stuffs like these?

I mean how well do you know that "that account is an alt" then do a background check on them?

Damn. I thought the title was a death threat, "he should be down." <- it's like a line from an action movie.

Anyways back to the main concern. OP, what you did was wrong and unforgivable, plagiarism alone is. And now you're evading the ban. You're not working hard if you're plagiarising a content, that's stealing.

Re: [Unethical]Bounty Team Tokensuite Misleading Token Calculations Sprintx
by
Probinus
on 13/07/2018, 18:34:41 UTC
With all those scam accusations as well as criticism from members saying needmoney and the tokensuite isn't doing their job properly, why are DT's not making their move, red trusting these accounts for promoting scam icos. I know they can't predict what ICOs are scam or not but consecutive scam icos? What the heck.

Probably because needmoney has paid a ransom and now DT2 members are not tagging them left and right, who knows right? maybe they are negotiating with some DT2 members and even talking about terms of receiving counter feedbacks if somebody suddenly tagged them with red.
If this's true, DT members that'd be proven to be an accomplice should also receive punishments. Also, shame on them. But we can't just easily accuse them on doing so, false accusation can also bring shame to you if they proved you wrong.

I think it's an obsolete rule? well correct me if i'm wrong. But airdrops are blatant on bounties section, and I think it's equal to telegram campaign. Does this mean they're going on a loophole? By making airdrops = campaign?

Merits 2 from 1 user
Re: Limit to new accounts every month
by

⭐ Merited by Vod (2)
I only understood that we should limit the account creation per month to a hypothetical number.

But with this, the problem is: possible new members that may be quality posters would be eaten by the sheer number of people making alts everyday. Account farmers would be rushing to compete to make accounts since they'd know that there's a limit now.

Also, I think we should resolve the problem internally first before doing anything like this.

I later came to know that asking someone for merit is prohibited.
Regardless of you not knowing this, as a literate and an english-speaker, you should've encountered the word "Merit" by now. Have you not wondered about the definition of it?

"""
merit
[mer-it]
noun
claim to respect and praise; excellence; worth.
something that deserves or justifies a reward or commendation; a commendable quality, act, etc.:
"""

highlighted the word "respect" since merits, just like respect, should be earned and not given.

Re: ICO thread being bumped by potential alts
by
Probinus
on 13/07/2018, 17:24:05 UTC
Either they are alts or they are paid to shill. This might be the working of the new autoreplybot. Only thing that can be done here on your side, is report. Or message any global mods/preferably mprep since he is the head mod of the section, and explain your case.
It's highly probable that these accounts are alts made by the devs, teams, or cm. And Either way, they're contributing much to the crappy posts lying around the forum, covering all possible healthy discussions.

Re: can we make one more section of merit giving thread
by

on 13/07/2018, 17:19:32 UTC
We cant ignore the members, who are genuinely read the rules and give their best for getting the merit.
I for one can say that members who read the rules and give their best for getting merit doesn't need this. Why? Cause they use the search button and they work independently.

We should ban the copy-paster members. We should work in the favour of serious members.

Mods are doing their best to address these kind of matters. If you encountered one then report it immediately by clicking the report to moderator button.

Re: Should posting advice be in Meta or beginners?
by
Probinus
on 13/07/2018, 11:38:35 UTC
I think it all depends on how fitted the thread it is for the beginners. If the thread's like a common knowledge for the members, then beginners. But if it's new or it concerns the welfare of old and new members then meta would be the right place to go.

Edit:
I'm ignoring posters who start threads with all caps titles this is the thread isn't it?

Sorry but i do agree for it to be moved from meta>reputation since it doesn't really concern the forum per se. But more like a personal public announcement from you that would affect other members reputation to you.

Re: Wapinter related with Scam? Why he repeat to promote ICO with fake team ?
by
Probinus
on 13/07/2018, 11:16:32 UTC
Anyway, I do have a question, I noticed that there some ICOs who didn't meet the softcap and of course no tokens will be delivered to the participants. Will this be considered as scam?
Well you can say that. But it's not entirely a scam if the team really had the vision for it but the people and the idea didn't really connect. Also, ICO stands for initial coin offer and you can think of it as a pre-sale for tokens that are possibly have higher values in the future. Therefore, you can consider it as a failed ico but not scam.

Re: Report scam bounty hunter.

This guy tried to translate too many languages, all using google translator.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1983822;sa=showPosts
You doesn'tdidn't include any proofs here so your thread may not create that much attention here. Shocked

So next time report the scammer with appropriate links bro.
Just like what he said. Accusing someone as a scam hunter and trying to provide justification to make things easier, would result to little to non concerns from the DTs. Also, you may report his thread (translated one) by clicking the report to moderator button on the bottom right of the post if you think the OP just used google translate or any other third party translator and stating it there.

Or if you really want to, you may pm the campaign manager, and hint him that someone's scamming his translation campaign so he may remove him.

Re: Trading simulator
by
Probinus
on 13/07/2018, 10:51:54 UTC
I recently found about trading simulators, such as the digital coin trading simulator. I think they are a good opportunity for someone that wants to learn how to become better at trading, or just try some strategies ( at least this is what I expect from them)

Before jumping into, I would like to know if someone tried and could give me a update about the experience, because I trust users from here, and from google I didn't got any good answer.
How does this work, like a game? I mean, everything's provided and everything virtual? Can you provide links to this, i would like to try it, if you may.

Do you mean you want to learn crypto trading in demo account? So far only HitBTC exchange offer that, but also you can get demo account of crypto trading in some broker forex because now many forex broker offer trading crypto pair. Doing crypto trading in platform MT4 will allow you to make profit from buy and sell open potition.
How does demo account let's you trade? You're provided with coins/tokens but can't cash out? Am i right?

Re: Cryptocurrency – the future of money!
by

on 13/07/2018, 02:10:51 UTC
Crypto is here and now, but i don't think it will be the "future of money". By saying "future of money" you're implying that money as it is now would become obsolete and would all be replaced by cryptocurrency. That's where my opinion comes in, i don't think it will be the future, but it'll be there hand in hand with fiat just like what's happening now.

Well, i'm still open for the possibilities to come.

Re: SIGNATURE CAMPAIGNS COULD ALSO BE A SOURCE OF THE SPAMMING
by
Probinus
on 13/07/2018, 02:05:06 UTC
We all wondering how we will curb the level of spamming on this forum but we have not realize this. One thing I have noticed about bounty campaigns is that, they are all having vast differences in the number of post that signature campaigners should post for their weekly stakes. Some wants 10 and others 15 some even wants 20 looking at the number of characters they want us to post. Although I am not saying signature campaign is bad but what I think should be done by the forum mods is that they should give an announcement out which will limit all signature campaigns to 10 posts and that will partially help solve the problem.
Mods aren't linked with any campaign. Therefore, they don't have power over it. Well maybe, if the mod's managing it well he could possibly do so. Or the mod can remove the thread if it got too out of hand.

They are concerned about all these crappy post, really and they can address that matter, that's why Merit system was introduced in the first place.

This is because when someone joins a campaign and they want 15 post and the person joins 2/3 days to the close of that week, the person tries to post all the 15 posts thereby spamming the forum with so many post within the 2 or 3 days.
Is posting 15+ post a day really that bad? No.

What's bad is, within those 15+ posts there are few to none quality post.

Also bounty campaign managers should make sure that anyone who joins their campaign 2-3 days to the end of the week will not receive stakes for that week unless the person waits for the start of the following week.
Well, i suppose you can pm a bounty manager and suggest these to them. There's no post ranting here in meta.

If all these are done I think it will help reduce the spam on this forum.
If all these was done, there'd still be tons of crappy post in the forum. Reporting it to mod would be another way to counter those spam, but this would be a lot of work for the staffs, we need to find a way to nuke those.

Re: Mahmoud87 begging for Merit
by
Probinus
on 09/07/2018, 13:53:58 UTC
Just had a PM from Jr. Member Mahmoud87 begging for Merit. Feel free to tag.

Link to profile - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1110675

[img*]https://preview.ibb.co/neEN98/1_E4_E4716_8_EF2_42_CD_9_D9_A_C322_DFD7_F829.png[/img]

At the moment they are not even getting tagged people which obviously abused the system, since there are no clear rules how to proceed. I don't see how somebody begging could be any worse, annoying maybe  Smiley
Isn't people that are merit abusing and begging being tagged already? I'm confused, all of the sudden there's no clear rules on how to proceed with merit abuse and begging.

If people being tagged without a "clear rule" for these instances, then DTs are abusing their power, right?
