Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World

Very well said, TeeGee. We are certain that DNotes has made the right decision to switch over from POW to POS. More importantly, we like to see that all of our long-term stakeholders are well rewarded with ease of participation. There are three different rewards amounting to about 8% per year: a) 2% for account balance paid every 30 days, b) 4% for account balance paid every 365 days, and 2% staking reward for participating stakeholders. Once fully implemented, DNotes will be very attractive for long-term savers and ideal for what CRISPs are meant to accomplish. We intent to heavily promote long-term savings for retirement, education, and other needs.

The challenge today for less tech-savvy stakeholders is that participating in POS staking network is often a struggle and very frustrating. We want to change that and make it real easy. Our team has been working hard on these and other features that will make DNotes 2.0 best positioned to accommodate our road-map going forward. There is a lot to be accomplished in a short time. I am getting early indications that our team will need more time. Target date for completion in software development is often difficult to predict since there are always unknowns and trade-offs. In any case, we should have a better reading in a week and I will give you further guidance as soon as I know.

That is, people will buy your coin, and they will think that their pension is guaranteed?

And if the price of your coin falls by 20-30-90%?
Goodbye pension?

Your coin will never replace a state or private pension.

For example, a person bought your coins for $ 50,000 (/0.07 = 714285 coins)
What are the guarantees that the price will remain the same or grow within 10 years?

Max Supply Dnotes can be 500,000,000
500 000 000/714285 = ~ 700 people

Only 700 people will be able to buy a pension Smiley

You say beautiful words, but they are about nothing!

And when is the POS release?
Promised in september, already september, POS but never did.

The casino is always profitable.
You should think about how you will advertise your casino. The basic budget for you should be advertising.
The level of profitability you can establish yourself. Who will check this?

Yes Bitcoin will be worth so much that every single person on this thread will be wealthy if only they can hold long enough. My guess is half of you will lose your chance chasing alt-coin wet dreams or buying a sports car with your precious BTC.

There is nothing wrong with diversifying your crypto portfolio. Stop generalizing legitimate inventions and p&d/shitcoins. But you are correct that the majority of your portfolio should be in BTC (70%)

I do not agree with you. The portfolio should not be 70% of BTC.
Many coins will also grow well. Etherium, a very good technology with smart contracts, it must be at least 20%.

Etherium 20%
Bitcoin 30%
Litecoin 20%
-----------
A total of 70%.

The remaining 30% is a altcoins.

Haha , easy compare , BTC > USD for sure.
And why people need convert btc to usd... btc is just like stock, gold!

Nope. Bitcoin is a currency and not a stock or asset. At least that was the original intention when Satoshi Nakamoto invented Bitcoin. He predicted that Bitcoin will become very popular in the future, but he never said that Bitcoin will be worth $5,000 per coin after five years.

Nope  Wink
No matter what was the original intention of Satoshi Nakamoto. What is important is what bitcoin is now. And now it is an asset.
Bitcoin as a currency is not a correct definition, because too few stores accept bitcoin.
In the future, bitcoin will become a currency, but for this it is necessary to reduce the transaction's price.
The last transaction cost me 2.4 $

It all depends on which exchange are your coins.
Of course, it is important, as already written here, to activate two-factor aundification.

Use a trusted exchange, located either in the US or in Europe.

Avoid exchanges of Asia and Russia (btc-e)

Re: News update alerts

on 05/09/2017, 14:20:40 UTC
I've been in the crypto trading game for a few months now and find that I miss out on some easy cash by simply not knowing when a dev team has dropped some good news via twitter/forum. Most the time, seeing the tweet 15 mins later is too late because the coin has been pumped and dumped and you have to rely on the fact that people may see the news as a valuable long term hodl.

My question is this:

Is there any website/app that will provide you with alerts whenever there is a new development from the dev team? I love the way coinmarketcap.com has a Social tab but its annoying that you have to go through each coin individually. Even if its just a website that pulls info from coinmarketcap.com but allows you to scroll through all updates in time/date for ALL coins rather than having to click on the coin to see its updates.

If the answer is "No, there is no such thing".. why has it not been done?! I feel like having those alerts would = lambo soon.

PS. First post.

Thanks,

Krukri

Guys don't let this market manipulation to take money away from you. If Chinese "SEC" has so much power to suppress NEO and ICO's down, why wouldn't they leverage it and throw some money at it and on the ICO's they already know that they will approve (unlike the other ones that they will kill). Don't let manipulating news like this influence your opinion on the greatest invention of this century.

I would like to find some statistics about segwit adoption. Where can I find that?

http://segwit.party/charts has an overview of SegWit related statistcs.
They show:
- Percentage of SegWit transactions per block
- Count of segwit transactions and total transactions
- Percentage of witness size of complete block
- Actual witness size and block size
